Hopping the Borders

Mission Details:

Auron having made a small name for himself within Earth Country as a hand for hire, had amassed a small amount of coin that he felt would help him in his travels. Realizing that he had gained a degree of notoriety the Yamaguchi decided it would be best to avoid remaining in one place for too long. It was always a true possibility that hunter and tracker ninjas alike could at anytime appear within his vicinity. And what would he do then? Unfortunately, he would do what he had to survive. He had just hoped that his brother was out there somewhere fending for himself properly. He also wished well on the friends that he had made in Earth Country. Life on the run had been a difficult and lonely one. So much so that he almost longed for company. Especially being a man of his personality, that essentially relied on leadership from someone else. He was able to take initiative when required, but to him it was much easier when he was just assigned missions or responsibilities. To him, he was a dog, an instrument, or a tool. He had hoped his brother would be the type to be a leader by nature, and that's a reason he set out from his previous lifestyle. To find him, and be led by him. But this had proven futile. He had no clue which direction Demon Country was, except for East. And so far he already started off wrong, going...West.

In any case, Auron packed up the supplies he had acquired since departing from the Land of Fire. He'd resume in his travels, picking up where he had left off by heading back East. He wasn't sure how far he would go though? Maybe he would eventually reach the ocean, and seek a ferry to carry him to Demon Country? Or maybe he would march himself all the way back to Konoha, and turn himself in. He hadn't found a true sense of direction for his life. Even as of recently, he functioned best when being told what to do. He had tried to infiltrate the bandit camp and procure a source of ryo, yet that inadvertently resulted in him being assigned a new mission which he completed flawlessly. He was never sure why when he had tried to take control of his own future, he always failed. But when he served the role of a follower, he found success. This concept bothered him deeply, but not enough for him to dwell on it. He had enough sense to know that it was time for him to take his leave. 

And this was especially true considering the situation at hand. With his mind made up to depart Earth Country, he had recently been approached by an older man. He had seemed to be a merchant of some sorts, carrying all of his goods and supplies on the back of a horse drawn carriage. Within it he had all sorts of tools, trinkets, and foods. Auron had treated himself to some of each with the ryo he had been making, and when the merchant noticed that Auron was rather well off considering his situation he couldn't help but ask what Auron did. That was when the Yamaguchi had informed him of his status as a hand for hire, going on to elaborate a number of jobs that he had recently performed which resulted in him earning his keep. And so stricken by opportunity, the merchant made an offer to Auron. He would pay the man in advance, all in exchange for Auron delivering a supply package of goods to a town that sat on the Eastern Outskirts of Earth Country. For Auron this was a no brainer, considering that was the direction he needed to go anyway. And to be paid in advance? He couldn't dream of a better opportunity. Thus he agreed, and would be trusted with a crate of various goods. 

Though he was a missing ninja, he was a man of his word. That was one of the things he truly owned nowadays. So as entrusted, Auron set out from the small town that he had been camping in. He'd proceed East down a dirt road, fenced in with pickets of lumber. Out on both sides of the fence were lush fields of grass and forestry, with wildlife grazing in it. It had been quite the opposite of the mountainous terrain that he had seen as of lately. It was calming and peaceful. As if it were a reminder of the gentler side of life. As he continued onward, he'd pass a stream, farms, and small camps. Everything had seemed so much simpler here, in the country side. It was almost tempting for him, like life wanted to sway him away from his life as a shinobi. Give up all of his ambitions all together. And maybe that was the right thing to do. But this was nothing for him to consider right now. He at least had a job to do, giving him some purpose. With the package in hand, he'd persevere on until he finally reached the signs of the town. It was similar to the one he had just came from, small yet quaint. There were few buildings, one of which was defined as the tavern and another marked as the shop. Auron proceeded into the latter, pushing the swinging door open with the weight of the crate he held. Once inside, he'd simply proceed towards the shop keep's counter, and drop the package off. 

"This is from a traveling merchant. Said he needed to supply you, so you could supply your town."

"Thanks! I have nothing to pay you with though..."

"It's taken care of. And I'll be on my way now."

Auron would then turn from the shop keep and exit his store. He'd take a last gander at the town, appreciating how cozy it seemed, before setting his sights towards the tavern. He'd grab a quick bite to eat, tipping the staff with some of the ryo he had earned, then departed from it. Belly full and pockets a little heavier, he'd exit the town and soon after exit Earth Country. The Yamaguchi would be heading East, beyond the Land of Grass, with the destination of Fire Country's borders in mind. Only time would tell what it had in store for him.
