Guren's clone would simply nod in confirmation to Kaito's request to pursuing the thief. "Go ahead, make sure you guys wrap up any lose ends," the clone would respond. It would then direct its gaze back to Yusuke, and occasionally flicker back towards the weeping man. "They'll get your possessions back."

Guren himself maintained his composure and continued onward to inspect the perimeter. Patrolling the estate and the house was simple and straightforward, and with both of his dojutsu active he was certain he would spot anything out of the ordinary. Yet he never did. Everything else had been in order and the securities installed around the home were all properly functioning. Maybe it really had only been the one seal in which Yusuke had pointed out. Ascertaining this to himself, he'd return to the area where Yusuke and his clone were. By this time, Yusuke had seemed to be wrapping up. Seeing as the genin shouldn't need supervision to catch a petty thief, Guren would conclude his time with this mission. To his approval, Yusuke seemed to have been handling the Berserker bloodline well. All that was left was to see how he faired with it during the Exams.

"I'll take my leave now. Please have your team report back to me when the mission is completed." Guren would say to Yusuke prior to the boy heading off to inspect the perimeter. He'd cancel his clone technique, then begin to exit the property."

Kota was deep in thought about his shock that Guren had been promoted. He did not fully hear what Kaito had asked him at first. He hesitated for a moment but shook his head and agreed. “Yeah. We can head out to catch him. I do not have a lot of things to do at this moment so I am more than free. We just have to finish this mission and turn it in. I could use the ryo before we do anything else.” Kota gave a wide smile with his answer. He did want to make sure that the work for the mission was done. When everything was completed Kota was ready to set off with anyone else that was coming along.

Guren would allow Kaito to go after the thief who had stolen the client's gems, and Kota would oblige to join him in the pursuit.

To this end, Kaito would lead the charge against the thief. He took to blending into the crowds of people that filled the streets surrounding the general vicinity of the client's household, trying his best to keep a low profile while he searched for the person. After a short while, he was able to find the person hunkered down in a rundown alleyway. He was rummaging through the sack with a look of gluttony on his ugly mug. With his tremendous speed, Kaito would seemingly phase from his current location out in the street to standing directly above the man, who jumped at the boy's sudden appearance.

"You tried and failed, man." Kaito said as he grabbed the man by the scruff of his shirt and raised him up to his feet before slamming him into the side of the building behind him. "Now, you're gonna tell me and my friend here how you broke into that house and got your filthy hands on those gems." The man, practically in tears, told the two shinobi how he himself had been a former shinobi who retired and became a cleaner for the mission client. The thief admitted to having vast knowledge of fuinjutsu from his history as a ninja and also described in great detail how he was able to disturb the client's barrier formula to break in unnoticed.

Kaito would look over at Kota and laugh.

"This guy, man..." He said before looking the thief square in the eye and punching him as hard as he could in the gut. The man doubled over and quivered in pain. "Shinobi are supposed to use their abilities to protect those around them, not take advantage of them for their own personal gain." Kaito would grab the satchel full of gems before walking turning to walk back out of the alleyway. "I've got no time for this clown, so I'll let the client do with him as he pleases. Let's go, Kota."

From there Kaito would stroll on back to the mission client's home. It seemed as though Yusuke and Guren were just finishing up with their ends as he arrived. Kaito would deliver each and every gem back to the client as he spilled the beans on the theif's actions. With a thankful nod, the client advised the four Sunagakure shinobi that he would handle things from there. With that, Kaito would take his leave back to the spire to assist in writing out the mission report.
