Dining in the Desert of Death

It was time to finish up the mission as Naki looked around as they both finished their look out on the trip. Naki nor his clones seen anything and if Musu didn't see anything then it was time for them to make their way back home. Naki was glad to experience this kind of thing no cleaning, no looking after shops, no fighting of any kind just floating around and checking up on things. The Genin would report to the man that they were clear on their end as well as the clones end as he felt the sand moving them back. With the new refresh seal on the gate they can go ahead and head back finished with their mission. "This was a great learning experience. Thank you for allowing me to come along I know that a lot of people tend to not really want to bring around genins but it was definitely a learning experience." he said smiling as they started to head back to the village. 

 "I realize that I said that twice just ignore me until we get back. I'm done making a fool out of myself.... hopefully." he said as he softly chuckled but slowly got quiet as they went back to the entrance of the village. Once they were there and Naki was let off he'd respectfully bow to the man before running off towards the spire in the village. He was happy to have to have done this mission alongside the man as he seemed cool.

Naki and Musu agreed to disperse and the group of ninja and clones began the search the grounds. The goal of course being to check for any cracks or holes within the massive arenas gated shell. After a quick nod Musu began to walk towards his direction. Naki had began to ask the sealing sand ninja a question about his gourd, but as Musu began to listen it was as though the young mans voice was muted, muddied, and meek. Musu took a waterskin from under his cloak and began to drink it, thinking that it might have been dehydration that caused the jounin to feel this way, but by the time he finished his drink Naki appeared to have dropped the question and began walking in the other direction. The distance between the two began to grow larger until the point that even Musu's sand sensory couldn't sense the young genin. At this point, Musu believed that this routine mission should reach it's conclusion soon, and there was no need for the two ninja to stay connected. For now he needed to focus on the mission and clearing his mind.

As Musu continued to search around the desert, the sealing jounin of the sand began to feel strange, as though something was pulling him into a different direction than what he intended to travel. The longer Musu travelled around the gated structure the more he felt the pull from this mysterious force. He couldn't quite figure out what it was; was it an attack? a calling? a hallucination? Whatever the source of this mysterious entity pulled even stronger against Musu's willpower.

The force was strong, unbelievably strong, and continued to exhaust Musu's strength, despite the willpower of the Uzumaki, the pull weighted down the mans legs, the dimmer the light in front of him felt, and the harder it was to even think about taking a step forward.

Despite Musu's best efforts the force was like a siren, a physical mirage, or something forcing Musu to act towards the direction of the never ending desert. Each step feeling like a ton of bricks were holstered to each leg; it was exhilarating and frightening and new all at the same time. Finally the physical and mental toll of this force was too much to bear and Musu collapsed onto the sand, resting his body against the metal walls of the desert of death.

While Musu felt relief for a brief moment the jounin quickly felt the pull into the sand grow in power as he sat down. He couldn't drink, he couldn't call for help, and all he could do was simply witness what could very well be the end of Musu at this point. Until finally, Musu in this stupor, stood back up, and faced toward the direction of the sand. Musu realized that there was no point in resisting this call anymore and that it was time to face the destiny that the universe had in store for him.

With one final deep breath, Musu took one step forward, then another, and then a third after that. Each step increasing in power and stride until he was racing at full speed into the unknown. Thinking of nothing but himself and this voice, Musu started his new journey into the vast expanse.
