The Second Test [Hunter]

Daiko stretches his back, looking over to his companion as they had finally made it through the village gates. There was a lot that had happened recently, and Daiko decided that they would likely talk about it over some tofu. There was something about the familiar aroma about the first proper meal he had eaten with a friend that caused it to be somewhat soothing to his nerves. Though it didn't leave him feeling any particular way, Daiko was still aware that he and Saya had just killed a girl. The death was warranted, as they had ended up attacking his friend, but... Daiko wondered for a moment if Saya had felt any remorse because he didn't even have a bit. Daiko wondered if this feeling would fade over time, or perhaps rather he wondered how many people had been overtaken by the satisfaction of taking a life, and gaining what was lost by them. Either way, Daiko didn't want to get into the philosophy of that at this moment. There was a lot on his mind and he was sure that Ai and Pinoch had much to say, even if Saya would play it off. He felt that this past day had been very important in the development of not just their friendship, but also their comradery.

Daiko had the brilliant idea to go and take the shinobi ID and headband and send it to the Mizukage to do whatever it was people did with things like that. Upon closer inspection, he noticed that there was some sort of note stuck inside of the Kiri headband. It seemed to be a note detailing the location of a hideout, along with some weird name for an organization. Strangely enough, it was written in crayon. Showing it to Saya, Daiko shrugs. "It looks like that girl who attacked you may have been part of something bigger. What do you say we go and find out what it is, huh?" Daiko grins for a second and then returns back to his normal face. He also looked towards Ai and Pinoch to see what they had to say on the matter. If all was well and good, Daiko would see if anyone else wanted to lead the way. If not, he wouldn't mind going on ahead.

Stretching out his shoulders, Daiko guesses that food would probably have to wait for a moment. Though they weren't close to the shop whatsoever, Daiko could almost taste the spicy seasonings all merging together with the delicious tofu. Man, it would be so nice. Daiko was more excited than ever to see what they would be able to do to avenge the ninja that had died at the hand of this organization. It would also be kinda fun to get into a real fight every once in a while. Yawning for a moment, Daiko continues on their way, wondering what things they might run into. Daiko would scan the area around them, taking in every minor detail and such, to make sure he wasn't caught by surprise.

The battle and then long trip from the borders had taken alot from our small heroine. Not only was she taxed mentally, both from the realization of what she'd done but also from the slow trickle of that emotional response to its place within the compartment for the Ai puppet, but the trip out and back had been long and she'd used alot in order to protect herself in a short time. With this in consideration, it will come as no surprise that everyone's favorite protagonist had opted for a silent trip back to the village. She'd climbed into the hatch on the back of coach, curling up to rest, and seemed to be out cold for the bulk of the trip--asside from her clear ability to effectively control the three puppets all the way home. In truth she'd used her additional strings to set up a complex pully system that allowed her to make the trio match daiko's movements so she didn't need to actually actively control anything, and then fell asleep with her threads fully active. It was a neat trick.

As they approached the gates, a single light turned on inside the coach puppet to bring her back to consciousness. Glancing through the slats of the puppet she could see they were finally close to their destination. scrambling quickly to the puppets shoulder, where she crossed her legs to enjoy the rest of the ride from a high vantage point, she immediately went from zero to one hundred on the energy scale.

"It's almost time! I can literally taste the to--whot." She'd began to speak with daiko noticed the note in the headband. The last thing she wanted to do was go on another mission, especially a mission that would require her to fight, but she wanted those cruel people to have the chance to hurt someone else much less. She gave a nod, releasing the mechanism to make the puppets auto walk and controling them freely. The chakra threads blue shine began to disappear, starting at her fingertips and slowly weaving across the distance until it looked like the puppets were moving on their own.

"Let's do it. " There was one other interuption however. just as they passed the gates, a tall lithe woman with white hair could be seen. She was in her thirties with skin so clear it looked porcelain. She approached, giving a nod to daiko. She held a large bag on her back, which she hefted off to allow coach to take and strap up to his own back like a back pack, the bag setting just low enough on his body to allow the hatch to open and close. Wierdly she didn't say anything. She could see in saya's eyes that there was something going on that they would talk about later, and so she gave a wave and simply disappeared from view into her shop down the street.

After getting confirmation from Saya as to what they would be doing for the next couple of hours, Daiko nodded his head. They were on a roll currently, and there was likely no harm in them taking care of business the best way that they knew how. Either way, Daiko would stretch out slightly and begin heading to where they needed to go. Stretching his shoulders, Daiko then looks down at the little slip that had the address of the hideout. It didn't seem too far away from the village center, though it was still in an odd location. Heading to where they needed to go, Daiko looked down at the road and the buildings around it. Though he had been pretty much everywhere in this village, he had never really been to this district before. It didn't seem particularly run down or anything like that, though it seemed like it was a place that was left mainly for the people who lived there to take care of, rather than having ninjas and guards all around constantly. No matter, though. Making it somewhat close to the location in which the hideout was listed as Daiko stopped momentarily before turning and looking at Saya. "So, it looks like this is the place. Let's try to... Be as cautious as possible, yeah?"

As Daiko approached the doors to the place, he put his left hand behind his back and began doing some hand-seals, hidden from view from anyone in front of him besides Saya. Continuing to push through the door, he would then enter the building and take a look at what was inside. It seemed like a pretty casual bar. In the center of the room, there seemed to be a pool table that was 1 meter by 3 meters, and the room itself was around 30 meters in a square. Around the walls furthest from the entrance, The front wall, and the wall to the left, there were seats against what seemed to be a large bar area that wrapped around both walls. On the right side, it seemed that there were different pictures hung up, with nameless shinobi that Daiko didn't recognize. Either way, it seemed that other than the pool table in the direct center of the bar, it was pretty clear as far as things on the ground. There were a couple of doors around, and Daiko was sure to keep a keen eye to see what was going on. 

Daiko made sure to keep his eyes open in respect to where Saya was, and potentially where there could be someone that meant them ill-will. This was of course a hideout that was likely for some angry shinobi. Daiko assumed that if one of their people would have been trying to kill Saya for doing little to nothing wrong, that there would be no reason that they wouldn't do the same to him. Daiko continues to stay vigilant, thinking silently to himself as to what might be going on.

They made it there pretty easily, and the location, an almost biker style bar, seemed empty. That wouldn't do. How could they find an underground criminal enterprise and stop it from causing trouble if there was no criminal enterprise. As they approached the building, about twenty meters back, saya formed the seals, biting her thumb at the end, and called for the aid of a good friend. With a puff of smoke her summon came into view holding a fork and knife with a small bit of fish on the end.

"Oy! why would ye summon me in the middle of dinner?!" He placed the cuttlery in his pocket. As much as he found this inconvenient, he expected there was a short list of reasons why the girl would call him to her side. Realistically the list was much more expansive, but they were new friends so he didn't know her that well yet.

"Mission. Finding some corruption. I... I got her. She's ready and I thought you should be here." Saya spoke in a low tone. Ragnar's eyes grew wide at the realization of what she was saying. If she was bringing HER out this must be serious.

"Alright. Lead the way. I've got a solid bit of power I could offer if its needed. " Ai and pinochio stepped forward as the coach puppet bend down to allow Saya off his shoulders. Putting a hand on the backpack she allowed invisible strings to slip into the bag, capturing the neccessary points on the Freyja puppet to have her able to be active.

"Alright. Pinoch, I think you'll have to sit this one out. " He already knew. He found a safe spot atop the awning of a building across the street and laid down to be out of sight, the chakra threads used to control him joining with three more to invisibly latch themselves to Daiko. Ragnar lead the way, looking about the empty bar for any signs of trouble. Finally, The hopped up onto a bar stool and called out.

"Excuse me? I was looking to get a drink? Is there anyone here working? The door was unlocked!" Each of team puppet took an angle, saya's eyes darting back and forth between the double doors in the center behind the bar and the front door. They were the only entrances or exits. Coach stood behind ragnar the otter about two feet with the Freyja puppet hidden in his backpack, and Ai two feet behind Saya, looking towards the door. As she waited, Saya formed the seals for the ninjutsu amplifier, but held off on the last, prepping it just in case. Hopefully they could talk this out.

Jax Hyuuga:

The bar the group entered appeared rundown as if no one had frequented the bar. A pool table occupied one side of the bar, it had two pool cues rested on its green felt top and a white ball sat against one of the cushions. The bar looked well kept but the rest of the room had not seen any love in recent weeks, glasses and empty bottles were everywhere there was a surface capable of holding one. There were no patrons inside yet it somehow still had a smokey atmosphere, even given Kiri's no smoking indoors policy. 

Jackson Hyuuga, known as Jax to his boys, sat in the bar's backroom sifting through a blueprint of some kind. At his full height, the man stood at 6ft, had blue eyes and blonde hair that was slicked back and came down to the back of his neck. The man's face would be described as pretty by an objective viewer, a well-kept beard and mustache sat on his face that matched his head hair. He was dressed in a baggy-fitting pair of dark blue jeans with thick white trainers covering his feet. He wore a long-sleeved blue and black checkered shirt with a leather jacket with the arms cut at the shoulders over the top of it. He had thick rings that covered most of his fingers and the edge of tattoos could be seen at his neck and wrists.

As the Queen of Cosplay called out Jax stiffened, his eyes shot up to the clock on the far wall, "The boys should not be back yet" he said mostly to himself. The gang had a certain set of rules and one of them included no women in the clubhouse during business hours. Jax plucked his cigarette from the rest of the ashtray and stood up. He planted it between his lips and took a long drag and straightened his leather cut before exiting through the double doors of the current room and exiting to the bar in front. Jax tried to hide the surprise on his face as he opened the door and someone sat at the bar. "Hello there darlin' what can I get for you?" he said in his customer voice. The underground world that occupied this part of town knew well to stay away from this place, that gave Jax the notion that these customers might not be here for his winning personality.

With Saya sitting on the bar-stool, Daiko was to her right, about 6 meters away from her. With the position that the man who had just entered was at, he was at around an 8 meter diagonal from where he was standing. Not too close, but not too far. Though he was somewhat out of the way, Daiko watched when the man had initially walked out. He seemed to be a somewhat dapper fellow and wasn't dressed as if he had come from the slums that Daiko had frequented in his youth. He recalled seeing people of this composure before. While there were many that had suffered at the hands of others, there were those who had caused the suffering. There was always a noticeable difference between someone who had been put on hard times and someone who were the hard times. Daiko recalled the old clothes and dingy whereabouts of those oppressed, and the bar here definitely looked like a place people like those would frequent. Considering that this man's attire and composure didn't match the atmosphere of the bar in grime as it did in grit, Daiko assumed that they had definitely come to the right place. 

A moment passed with the man walking out before he had begun to speak. Though his words came out smooth and welcoming, Daiko had a strong feeling that this wasn't the type of bar that actually welcomed new customers. After he had asked Saya what she wanted, Daiko would somewhat smoothly remove a Koban coin from his pocket, equalling around 5000 ryo. The coin was long and flat, in somewhat of an oval shape. Putting it with the long end horizontal, Daiko would then flick it towards the man, the coin picking up off of its side and beginning to spin with the long way facing upwards, stopping somewhat in front of the man. "She's not old enough to order anything strong. You can put anything on that tab, we might be here for a little while. My little sister here has been BEGGING to see this side of town for quite some while, and I can see why." Daiko gives a slight wink and lets out a short chuckle, giving the man an honest-seeming smile. Small talk was no issue, though Daiko wanted to be delicate with the way he handled this situation. "You could serve me up a Tom Collins though if you don't mind. Make it a double."

After Daiko had initially flicked the coin, both of his hands would be flat on the counter of the bar. His arms would be somewhat bent at the elbow, and his head was turned so that he could see the man, as well as the layout of the bar around them from his position. If anything abrupt were to happen, Daiko would definitely do more than sit there idle waiting for a moment to come. Daiko was prepared for what he had to do and was already in the process of getting the information that they needed.

Before he could open his mouth, Daiko had adressed the man who'd come from the back. Ragnar gave him an odd look. It was like had thought that he was the small puppet master or something. He was not. Shaking his head he dismissed the idea because obviously that couldn't be it. He was two feet shorter and also completely covered in fur with clawed hands. Imagine making that mistake. "I'll take a mead if ya got it. And some of your finest salmon would be delightful! " Enthusiasticly he tapped his claws against the bar. It'd been quite some time since he'd had the chance to share a drink with friends. Thinking about it he'd never actually shared an embibement with friends in a bar that they were supposed to be visiting specifically to find a rogue group threatening their community. he'd cheers to firsts.

Ai cracked a smile at daiko's comment. She would take up the mantle of the boy's sister for now, her realistic skin and naturally moving facial features making it dificult to tell the difference between her and her sister, except for the hair of course. In the center of the room Saya stood quietly, watching everything unfold. She hadn't actually intended to order anything when they got here. Honestly it was just a way to see if there was anyone in earshot but as the Daiko and Ragnar ordered drinks, it made her really want a pinapple juice. Yanno like in an adult glass like you see in those movies with the cherries on the little sword and a tiny paper umbrella? No, definitely two umbrellas. She was worth two.

"I would love a pinapple juice. WIth the little plastic sword with cherries on it and the little umbrella? " Ai followed her sister's train of thought, playing the part perfectly. The two girls shared a glance for a moment as Saya's eyes shifted to the back door defensively. Part of her was impressed. Of course they would have the same tastes. Another part of her was angry that she'd totally steal her drink order. It was just like an older sister to want to have what was hers. Her rage subsided the moment she realized that while Ai looked in almost every way exactly like a real person, she did not have human anatomy. It would be very dificult for her to drink what she'd just ordered. That means it's hers one way or the other.

"We heard about this place from a girl we met earlier. " Continuing her explanation, Ai would give a detailed description of the theif they'd met in the outskirts of the village, before finally motioning for Daiko to show the man the paper he'd found inside of her headband. Four pairs of eyes studied his features for any suggestion that he might be onto their totally believable and well thought out plan that definitely wasn't just them flying by the seat of their pants. Unfortunately, only two of the four pairs would actually gather information. THe other two were puppets. They didn't actually work of course.

Jax did a double-take as he suddenly realized the being sat at the bar was an otter instead of a woman. He looked around the back of the bar like it was the first time he had ever stood behind it, and as it happens it was. The bar was a hideout and a front for the biker men from mars, Jax was a mid-level member and was in charge of the armory. The locals knew to never come into the bar and normally it was only members of the MC, however apparently someone had left the door open. 

Jax brought out a bottle of whiskey and a couple of beers, the cigarette still hanging from his lips. "We got beer and whiskey, and a tap out back" Jax said as he looked around underneath the bar "Uhh and there's a pack of peanuts" he dropped the packet in front of his otter customer. Jax knew that the crew in front of him was not being honest as no women had ever been in this bar before, but he was outnumbered and cornered and would play this out. After all, the rest of the MC would be back any minute and then the numbers would certainly be on their side and they would have the group pinned in the bar with nowhere to go.

Well, it didn't seem like there was anything particularly wrong. Though the man seemed nice at first, it was obvious that this was the place that they were meant to be. There was something fishy definitely going on, and Daiko assumed that this man was trying to buy time before someone else had come through to stop them. Though confident in he and Saya's abilities, Daiko didn't want to have to bite off more than he could chew, especially when him and Saya's lunchtime had passed about an hour ago. 

Daiko watched as the man began to lean down under the bar, searching for whatever it was that Daiko and Saya had previously been asking for. With his right foot flat against the wood part of the bar and his right hand already on the table, Daiko does a couple of things, given this moment of opportunity. 

The first thing that would happen, was as soon as the man began to duck his head under the bar, black sinewy hands would come out of Daiko's lower back under his shirt, quickly forming the hand seals required for Soul Expulsion. Not a moment after it finished, a royal purple aura would have appeared to come 3 centimeters off of his skin. At the same time, with his hand on the bar, his summon would appear on the side of the bar that this 'bartender' was at, quickly beginning to form the tiger, dragon, boar, and ram hand-seals while standing 6 meters to the left from 'the bartender'. After these were complete, 20 bright orange darts would begin to circle around the Shambler, and the creature would dash a bit backward, moving to be 12 meters away, about 5 meters away from the wall of the establishment. 

After Soul Expulsion had activated, depending on where the man moved to, the flesh around Daiko's knees and elbows would rip open as threads came pouring out, headed in the direction of the man. There would also be a single 1 meter diameter cable coming from his back, shooting backwards and digging itself into the earth for if Daiko needed to grapple himself out of harm's way. From each of his knees, one 50 centemeter diameter bundles of threads would shoot out and curve in the direction of the man from under the bar, avoiding Saya and her summons, before bursting through the wood with 170 power and speed, the cable from his left knee heading for the man's stomach, while the cord from his right knee splitting open into two 25 cm threads each, one cable going for his right knee and the other cable going for his left thigh. At the same time, two threads out of each of his elbows would shoot out as well, aiming to follow the man in whatever direction that he had traveled. With these threads, Daiko would change the way he handled them if 'the bartender' decided to move, or decided to attack him or Saya, if the situation called for it.

For the moment, Daiko was aiming to incapacitate this man.

"OOh I like peanuts!" Saya spoke up at the suggestion of snacks. She was a big fan. Her response brought a heavy sight to Ai's lips. To Saya's credit, they had been out in the borders for quite some time, and lunch had been interupted when Daiko found this strange note inside the headband. A girl can only go so far without food yanno?

"You don't have anything non alcoho--" Ai was interupted when Daiko shot into action. She would need to have a talk with the boy about when and where to start throwing jutsu. While something seemed off, she couldn't quite tell if this man was part of the organization they were sent to find or if it was happenstance. He could be an innocent who was hired to work the bar or just happened to be there. The tipping point for team puppet would be the black hands forming in front of Saya. From her position in the center of the room, she could see the attack before the bartender would have a clue what was going on. . "--hol. Sorry Guess we're fighting now. If you're innocent we're really sorry about this seriously." Ai formed seals quickly, Tiger. rat. Boar. It didn't matter what she was signing, it was all for show. Saya formed a single handed hand seal, completing the ninjutsu amplifier, and as Ai's last seal finished, she activated the sealless A rank in her jutsu list. Oh her teams side of the bar, with just three meters distance between the enemy and the first foo dog a line of four would rip through the floor with a speed of one hundred and thirty-five. Through the chakra conductive plates on Ai's palms it would seem like she'd used the jutsu, further giving the illusion that she was the pupeteer to any without the ability to see chakra or heartbeats.

If the bartender tried to come over the bar towards any of them, the foo dogs would strike, heading towards him while shifting left or right to dodge any attacks he might use. Otherwise they would simply bar exit. The door to the back room would be guarded by the last two foo dogs, though their summoning would happen on the other side of the wall. If he tried to exit out that doorway he would find it completely blocked by the wooden bodies of the dogs, with their head just at the top of the doorway poised to strike the moment the door opened.

Ragnar would slide off the barstool, preparing for a fight if it came to him. The coach puppet, once behind Saya would step up and across saya's body, crossing behind Ai before standing three meters to her right. There they would wait to react to what happened next. He was cornered and there was no exit he could easily get to. If this was the person they needed to deal with, they had him now.
