Clinging to the neck of his human companion, Ram was still perched on the furnace. As the Mizukage began to form the hand sign of 'Ram', he looked towards the opponent in order to see what they were doing now that they'd located the enemy. Watching as the man formed strange threads from his shoulders and fired them at the duo, Ram panicked for his safety and the safety of his companion. Even if his friend would be cross with him later, he had no choice but to do what he was about to do next. Raising his left claw, Ram had slapped the left shoulder of his companion as hard as he could four meters into the body flicker technique, knocking him off two meters off course and into one of the wooden trees he had made previously. This shook the Mizukage up a bit, interrupting his flicker and he was indeed quite annoyed but he figured if his companion was worried enough to where he would attack him to get him to cancel his movements, it was worth it. "Thanks little buddy, I won't do anything rash like that again," he told his companion. Unharmed from his armor and gathering his bearings, the Mizukage decided to assess the situation once more, after facing his opponent once more.

He was currently only twelve meters away from his opponent. His soul expulsion had ended and now was the time he decided to use his seal of absorption. Deciding to air on the side of caution, he decided to use his seal of absorption on the aura that was being emanated from his opponent. He was suspicious of it for the most part and didn't want to get caught up in suprises he didn't welcome. He also decided not to advance any further and not squander the warning he was given by his friend. It was time for him to get serious now that his opponent was in front of him. Instead, Kizmaru began to perform the hand signs of Snake, Ram, Hare, Ox, Dog and Snake with his left hand. Fifteen meters in front of him, a wooden dragon had formed from one of the trees he previously created. The Mizukage then began to focus the dragon's attention towards his opponent who happened to be three meters in front of it and had it begin to fire three, five meter long, one meter thick wooden spikes from out of its mouth from behind. At the same time as the Wooden dragon's attack, Kizmaru unsheathed two kunai with paper bombs at the end of it with his right hand.

Infusing the tags with his chakra, he threw them both in a horizontal angle a few inches apart at Kenshin, they had slowly but surely also closed the distance upon one another in order to achieve a result the Mizukage might want. When the kunai traveled a distance of ten meters, they bounced off of each other, causing one of the kunai to land between his opponent's feet and one right above them a meter. He'd then cause the both of them to explode with the tags that were at the end. After that, the Mizukage decided it was time to make a tactical retreat from those weird floating orbs his opponent conjured as he had no idea what they did. He decided to retreat ten meters from his opponent placing him twenty meters away from his opponent if he was left uninterrupted.

Kenshin would visibly snarl as the damnable creature on the armoured mans shoulder raised its left claw, and with a single pulse of chakra The Reaper would activate his Nemesis… it seemed that his damned rat would ruin his plan anyways, and he refused to waste Nemesis on the creature itself. He would smirk darkly as he felt the technique take hold… Kizmaru was now much more vulnerable than he had been mere moments ago… and Kenshin was tired of playing around. He knew that his Corrupted Sage Mode wouldn’t last much longer… and he knew that it would be much longer still before he was able to use the technique once more. Perhaps he had been somewhat arrogant in assuming that he would kill Kizmaru so quickly… The Mizukage was an irritatingly sly opponent, he would give the man that if nothing else. But then again, were it not for the creature upon his back, he was quite certain that the man would have met his end already.

Kenshin, who had not stopped his movements, would clap as he finished the handseals he had been forming… before immediately starting to form another 6 seals, with this sequence too ending with a clap. As the seals were completed a deep black smoke would begin to seep from his body, rapidly spreading outwards and destroying everything that it came into contact with. This would include the very earth beneath them, the trees that Kizmaru had spawned, the great walls of the Iron Fist Prison… and both Kizmaru and his rat. He had no doubt that The Mizukage himself had some way or another of defending himself… but the real question was whether he would be able to protect the creature that had protected him so well. As the Miasma had moved 5m from him Kenshin would release a light sigh… before three abominations made from his threads tore themselves free from his back, destroying his shirt in the process. These Masked Beasts were empowered beyond usual by Natural Chakra… these beasts were his Fire, Earth and Lightning hearts respectively.

The Fire beast, denoted by the fiery red runes upon its birdlike mask, was a twisted and nightmarish imagination of a bird. It had a height of 1m, a length of 2m and width of 0.5m. 1.5m from the beasts 'tail' and 0.5m from the mask itself, two wings with a length of 1m and width of 0.5m could be seen. The twisted creature only had two limbs, specifically two birdlike legs that were 1m in length. It was easily the smallest of the beasts. The Earth beast, denoted by the shimmering brown runes on its reptilian mask, was a hunched bipedal creature, 4m in overall height, 2m in width and 3m in length. It had 6 humanoid limbs, 4 arms and 2 legs, the legs being 1m in length, and the arms being 1.5m. The Lightning beast, denoted by the glowing purple runes upon its snarling mask, took the form of a twisted canine, 3m in length, 1.5m in height and 1m in width, with four legs at 1m in length. Each beast stood behind him, and with that final piece of preparation Kenshin would deactivate his Corrupted Sage Mode.

This is where this fight was about to shift… he would be on the back foot for quite some time, but he was quite confident in his own abilities… he could survive, and when his offensive power was back… The Mizukage would fall.

With the collision of the tree, Kizmaru was certainly unharmed in this instance due to his armor. He was facing a different problem however as he felt a strange force dampen his chakra and made him feel as if he were moving underwater. This must have been due to the mass of chakra he had been enveloped in for quite some time now. It was probably starting to take effect now that his Soul Expulsion was no longer in effect. It was a shame he didn't have knowledge on the technique beforehand or he'd know exactly what to do in order to dispel this. Either way, what was done was done now that the enemy had the advantage. For now, he'd have to play defensively in order to keep up his strength until the right time. While his opponent began the start for the next cast of his hand signs, the Mizukage simply inhaled before exhaling, bolstering his strength and speed while he began the hand signs of Tiger, Dog, Ox, Dragon, Boar, Rat and Tiger and placing the seal created on his face. Additionally, his chakra began to manifest around his body in a bird-like cloak befitting an owl. The cloak expanded from his body up to one foot long from his armor except the wings. The wingspan of his owl aura was the same as his height, ranging at two meters wide and one meter long.

He wasn't sure what was coming next but he knew it was something big as was everything he's experienced in this battle so far. Though his ninjutsu and fuinjutsu capabilities were currently dampened, they were still stronger than his Taijutsu skills but he had made the decision to go through with using Taijutsu anyway. Outstretching both of his arms to mirror the wings of his aura and lowering his head enough to cover his face, the Mizukage also spreads his legs a foot apart from each other to make sure there was no gap between them from the aura. The Mizukage then whispered to his companion, 'Brace yourself.' His companion Ram then climbed to the back of the furnace, clinging onto it, using the Mizukage himself as a wall to defend himself, trying to make himself look as small as possible. With that, his opponent unleashes a wicked-looking, black fog from his body when his hand signs were complete destroying everything around him. Gritting his teeth, he braced himself from the impact of the miasma as it washed over him. The destructive power was quite incredible as it tore through the land indiscriminately, excluding the one producing it of course. Still, the Mizukage's combined power of his Chakra Cloak and his Chakra Seal Barrier had managed to mitigate enough damage to the point where he, his armor and his companion were completely unharmed.

Shortly after the miasma was released, his opponent had also released some strange manifestation of abominations from his body. The Mizukage wasn't sure what they were or what they did but he assumed they were constructs made using his opponent's chakra. With that conclusion, the Mizukage decided to activate his newly placed Seal of Absorption on the new creatures that have appeared, reducing their power if they remained. However, due to how indiscriminate the miasma was destroying the field, this would cause the field to shift dramatically due to the location of where Kenshin had activated this destructive technique. Not far from his position, was a dock the stranger had fled to that was roughly thirty-four meters from him as well as the village gates behind the Mizukage. Because of the magnitude of miasma spreading out in seventy meters in all directions, with Kenshin at the epicenter, he had partially destroyed a bit of island as well as the dock, causing seawater to flow in freely into the crater left behind after the miasma had run its course. As the seawater rapidly filled the one-hundred and forty diameter crater, the Mizukage decided this was in his best interest, neglecting to send chakra to his feet.

He decided to hold his breath for a little while while submerged, pondering on his next course of action. He could wait out the effects of whatever was causing his chakra to deteriorate like this or he could attempt to take the offensive again. Either way, he had his options as he decided not to do anything rash which would cause him to have his companion to intervene once more. Lastly, he had used a little less than half of his reserves and figured it was time to use his chakra storage seal in order to replenish some with Keita's, his current position being seventy meters below ground level in the water. Lastly, he decided to end his Rain Tiger at Will technique as there was no need for it now that he had more access to a large body of water.

The Ragdoll would watch blankly as The Mizukage placed some type of seal upon his own face, and scoffed almost silently when the man activated some type of defensive aura… he had known that the man wouldn’t have died to an attack so simple as that, but he was quite disappointed that the protection seemed to have extended to his damned rat as well. As it washed over the man Kenshin would give a small frown… not even the lightest of damage to his damned rat… how very unfortunate. What was more fortunate, however, was that Kizmaru himself was indeed hit by his Miasma… and while it wouldn’t be enough to kill the man, it would definitely be enough to deal some rather serious damage to him, with it leaving his face covered in severe chemical burns. This was quite a good thing, as the techniques main purpose hadn’t even been to kill the man, as much as that would have pleased him… no, the purpose of the technique was to wipe the existing field clean. As his jutsu did exactly that Kenshin would take a couple of steps back, his Fire Masked Beast lowering its head as he stepped back onto its neck, and onto its back. He could feel as they became weaker, his chakra forcibly sapped from them… and it was then that the seal upon the man's face broke. With a sneer The Ragdoll would recall both his Wind and Earth masks, the beasts slamming into his back and merging with him once more… with the beasts weakened as such they wouldn’t be much use to him, aside from the Fire Mask.

The Fire Mask would take to the sky without any preamble, quickly ascending 20m, with Kenshin watching Kizmaru carefully… the man didn’t seem to mind being submerged, and truthfully, he could understand why. This would allow him to safely recover from the debuff that Kenshin had hit him with and allowed him to properly plan out his next move. Kenshin was more than alright with allowing him to make the next move, watching him carefully with his Byakugan, ready and able to make any moves required of him.

Watching his opponent carefully, the Mizukage had seen him call back two of whatever those creatures were with his Mangekyou Sharingan. He also seemed to have used the last beast of his to take flight. Kizmaru had found odd he wouldn't come into the water in order to purse the advantage of his waning ninjutsu strength. Maybe the former Kazekage wasn't much of a water person living in the desert and all and that was fine with Kizmaru. There wasn't much for him to do now as he was currently ninety meters away from his opponent. Instead, the Mizukage decided it was time to do something that might be considered risky. If not now, then he might never get another chance. While submerged under the water, Kizmaru motioned Ram to swim to the top of his head. It seems his opponent had used some form of dreadful variation to Sage Mode. He decided to use this opportunity he was given to gathered Nature Stacks himself. After all, it doesn't seem like his opponent had any interest in coming underwater. Deactivating his Mangekyou, Infusion and Taijutsu Cloak, the Mizukage performed the hand signs of horse, tiger and a unique seal known as the clone seal.

Two shadow clones emerged on each side of him before the three of them all sat in unison and attempt to gather Nature Stacks like his opponent seems to have done passively. He envied that power and hoped, he too, would eventually gain the ability to do so. For now, he'd just focus on gathering chakra from his surroundings in order to fuel his body. Ram would be perched on top of one of the cloned Mizukage's jingasa keeping an eye out for any suspicious activity to which he'd alert his human companion if the need arises.

Kenshin would watch closely as the man formed two clones… taking note of how they all immediately entered a strikingly familiar pose… they were all meditating beneath the water… and he could only think of one reason the man would have to do such a thing. To think that his opponent also had the ability to use Natural Chakra… although it seemed that he was stuck with limitations that Kenshin himself was not. There was currently 90m between himself and his opponent, who was sitting 70m directly beneath him in the water, with the water itself 20m below the hovering form of his Masked Beast.

This fight would hinge on what happened next… on whether or not he would be able to regain his Corrupted Sage Mode before Kizmaru either defeated him or forced him to flee. He was confident that he could do it… but it would not be easy.

The Ragdoll could barely keep the smirk from his face now… this was the most fun he’d had in a fight in a long time now… although he would admit, it was also the most frustrating fight he had been in to date. Heh… it almost felt like he was fighting some kind of mirror of himself, but this mirror had focussed more on an indomitable defense than overwhelming offense… similar yet very different, but still… similar enough.

Kenshin would continue to watch and wait, waiting for whatever Kizmaru would do next.

Ram continued to look around near the surface of the water, keeping an eye out for his friend. As far as he could tell, nothing was really coming at them but he continued to remain vigilant about the whereabouts of the enemy as he held his breath. He was unbothered by this turn of events as it felt good to have the water on his skin but alas he couldn't enjoy it as he was in a fight for his life alongside his human companion. Speaking of which, the Mizukage had the two clones he had conjured up dispelled themselves in order to gain the nature chakra they had gathered for him as they could only hold a limited amount. As they dispelled, the nature chakra they had already gathered had been transferred to him. Though it wasn't nearly enough as he'd want it to be, it was still better than having nothing at all. Remaining in his seated position, the Mizukage wouldn't have to worry about air for a while thanks to the oxygen barrier seal. For now, he'd just remain in place until he gathered the energy he desired to be used at a later point in time.

Continuing on with his meditating, the Mizukage successfully absorbed another stack of nature chakra the he so desired. As usual, Ram continued to remain vigilant on as he saw back to the original Mizukage's head, perching on it and looking in the general direction of where their enemy is supposed to be, keeping watch.

Deep below the ground where Zaled's office sat way above, Yuri finally found gold as the swing of her pickaxe found the mineral in its pure form. However, this discovery was meant to be short lived as screams and tremors filled the tunnels above; She thought she could keep the gold without her leader knowing as a silent blessing but now her very life is at stake. Yuri looked up as the ceiling above gave way and some of the mining comrades fell from the collapsing tunnel above and scrambled to prevent themselves covered by the falling debris that followed down; she stood at least one mile below his office, what could have occurred above? She thought to herself.

Beside her were 2 miners... or rather hired thugs that tipped off her of the this location that got her started looking into on the criminal activity not too long ago. These thugs were part of an organized crime that Yuri was monitoring on the surface at the docks not too long ago as their activities looked dubious right from the start, storing large objects in a makeshift warehouse. But her strength alone was never enough to go head on against them and her mates left without a word on after another. Instead, Yuri left her identity at her lodging to see what was really going on; Illegal Mining activities that found their way to the village's secret escape tunnels. Now her way to the surface is blocked but these 2 guys didn't seems to just stop thinking and resigned themselves to fate there, they tapped Yuri shoulders as they make for a run with Yuri following both of them as though they got a plan.

50 meters to the right where Yuri found gold lies a stash of oxygen tanks; These guys were well prepared for emergency though the tanks with mask outnumber the living at the moment. After some quick equipping, Yuri continued to follow these guys running as fast as they could 100 meters more into a dead end with pebbles coming down as they started to use their bare hands to unravel what was revealed to her as a power button as 1 of them punched it in his nervousness; Understandably at this moment where time might not be on their side and that includes her. The ground below 3 of them opened up as them fall through a hatch to a "tunnel" where the floor is metal as Yuri picked herself up finding her ankles covered by water and her current comrades checking if they had broken a bone. She ended up in some sort of a compound feeling astonished; If nothing happens.

Close the hatch immediately! TO YOUR LEFT! One of the 2 shouted to her as a switch was in plain sight. Yuri didn't have a choice and hit the switch quickly, what she noticed next was the hatch she fell through closing fast and the floor below her began to move at slowly. The other 2 gave a sigh of relief, Yuri didn't want to ask them to blow her cover as she waited for the next thing they could say. This is it. We are the only ones making it out alive, the others either made it out through the surface or their time on earth ended. Something really bad happened above, it was as though to bury us alive. Yuri got confused for the moment as there was no history of volcanic activity wherever his office was located and gave a moment of thought in the midst of being moved to somewhere else. She wondered if some form of conflict happened during a time where she haven't been on the surface for too long except to sleep; Did Zaled lose command above? Did whatever that remained in the village tried moving and clearing their traces while they do it? Whatever was the case, she clearly could tell water moving against the end of whatever they fell into; It is as though they were bring dragged out from somewhere bypassing the village gates without most knowing. Judging from the vibrations felt and the orientation of the island, Yuri deduced that they were being pulled southwards and out of the island from a deep underground tunnel ; She was just fortunate to be where she was at the moment of accident. Should nothing disruptive happen, she would be out in a moderate amount of time as air and pressure were provided by the capsule they were in, allowing them to take off their mask but none of them were confident enough to take off their tanks.
