Who Needs A Shirt? (Maku) Empty Who Needs A Shirt? (Maku)

Mon Sep 23, 2019 7:13 pm
It was a peaceful evening in the Land of Rivers, the fishing tournament was well under way and Calin was just sitting down on the bank of a promising looking spot to start his fishing. He had a solid looking pole, a bundle of gear, and had changed out of his normal attire in his room. He wore a pair of black jeans and T-shirt and the shit itself was quickly taken off and set aside on a dry area. It was too humid outside for his taste and so he’d rather be as cool as possible, besides, who needed the stupid thing anyway? He usually just wore a large leather coat that was opened at the chest and nothing else upon his upper body. His black hair fell down to just beneath his shoulders and his broad shoulders cut an imposing figure to most people’s opinions. His chakra wasn’t suppressed, the rules of the tournament enforced no one to kill or really attack one another. Although he was mildly curious as to what kind of enforcer they had to keep such rules in place. Regardless though, the idea went against the spirit of the even and he wasn’t interested in doing such a rude thing. So he was calm, and relaxed, his movements fluid and languid. His black eyes fell to his tackle box and he opened it, pulling out a jar of dead crickets. His tackle had many other kinds of bait within it, leeches, crayfish, minnows, and of course, the ever popular worm. All of which were dead, dried, and ready to be hooked onto his rod.

Baiting his hook with the cricket, the black haired man sat upon a nearby stone and smoothly cast the line into the lake. The current was nice and slow, and he watched shadows under the water become curious with the new arrival. Some swam closer, larger shadows, smaller shadows, there was quite a variety involved. He waited for a few moments before giving the line a slow reel, making the morsel of food move a bit as the line cut through the water slowly. The hope was that the bit would be more intriguing to them. Calin waited, in no particular rush, as the evening sky slowly darkened. A myriad of colours throughout the sky giving the atmosphere shades of beauty that was always mildly humbling to behold. To think, that their planet could be capable of such beauty when the people who lived and thrived on it were capable of such ugly things. He let his thoughts wander a tad as he sat, waiting to feel the tightening of his line that would signal a bite. It was a good time to think, to let one’s thoughts meander slowly away as if they were lazily moving down a river current. It was a relaxing experience, and a relaxing day. His mind wandered back to the curiosity of who might be enforcing the no killing rules of the tournament. He didn’t particularly like the idea of someone ruining his relaxation with violence. So the large man silently decided that whoever was charged with the security of this event would not only find him no trouble, but an aid if someone did try something overt.

Who Needs A Shirt? (Maku) Empty Re: Who Needs A Shirt? (Maku)

Tue Sep 24, 2019 10:11 am
The day had flowed just as the rivers that pierced the ground of the land.  What had started as a relaxing day, had ebbed and flowed just as water tended to do, and through it all Maku rode his little sail boat through it.

He’d reflect on how things often could escalate.  This thought was only reinforced by his current predicament.  His day had started as most did, in the kitchen.  Chef coat stained, finger tips a little burnt, and a bark in his voice getting orders out.  The former nation leader, general of war, now passed his time yelling at teenagers and sous chefs to get vegetables cut and slice blends made.  Yet, there was forever more enjoyment in such a place.

The day before had gone well, so well it had attracted the patron of the country club.  They’d struck a deal that very day over sake.  The Chortling Chunin would remain his flag ship restaurant, but the country club would now host a second restaurant under Maku’s executive chef branch.  The Fisherman’s Delight would be the new name, and would begin construction to update even further at the conclusion of the tournament.  Money had passed hands, and he’d given some stock to the owners of the country club, but the joint venture provided more than enough revenue to look at expanding even further in the near future.

So, kitchen, business deals........and now that led him to where he sat currently.  The boat had a much more luxuries feel than any he’d seen before now.  While not huge, it was nonetheless outfitted for comfort and......well having a good time.  As part of their deal the exec had given it to Maku to use for the rest of the tournament and enjoy himself.  After signing such a big deal.......he planned on doing just that as well.

Outfitted with some special fuinjutsu seals the boat was capable of self propelling through the water.  It had any manner of drink one might desire, and enough girls to keep anyone happy, and Maku was very happy at the moment.  Sure he still had a rod in the water, which he supposed counted for fishing.  However his focus was elsewhere.

Shirt off, he wore an excessively small swimsuit, a Speedo he believed someone had called it.  Clearly comfortable with his own body, maybe a little too comfortable some prudes would say, he sat on the deck singing and playing a harmonica he’d picked up somewhere, or that he’d stolen.......the alcohol made it hard to remember which.  To finish the ensemble he wore an eye patch, a large pirate hate, and instead of a parrot, a Skunk with a matching pirate hat and eye patch rested on his shoulder.

As they went by the shore one of the girls pointed out to the shore where Calin sat, clearly intrigued by the devil may care man.  Looking up, he saw him and he had to admit if he swung that way, he’d swing all of that way.  Grabbing his pole, the fishing one, he’d yell out, “AHOY matey! My pirate gal like yerrrr booty, come aboard!”  He’d kick the later causing it to fall in the lake, meaning Calin might have to wade or possibly swim a bit to get in the boat, but for added encouragement, “We Got all the free Rum!”  He’d shout holding up a large sloshing bottle.

Even as he finished shouting however, the rod in his hand jerked, again fishing rod toy filthy perverts.  With one hand on the bottle, one on the rod, and now bringing a bare foot onto the railing he heaved it up, pulling the fish straight out of the water.  Putting his body on display.  Maybe he was no power lifter, but the sage training and work on stamina had done its job well.

“Even the fish want aboard!”  He’d yell holding it up and twirling for all the ladies on the boat to see.  A chorus of giggling and laughter as he tossed the fish over his shoulder after unhooking it.  “First mate Tricky she’s all yerrrs.”  He’d say still talking with a bit of a pirate accent.  The skunk would jump down and carry the fish to a little dog bed that Maku had placed on deck.  Though the cushions had come directly from a room of pomp and circumstance.

Who Needs A Shirt? (Maku) Empty Re: Who Needs A Shirt? (Maku)

There he was, enjoying a nice, relaxing day of fishing.

When some lunatic came by in a giant party boat full of girls, alcohol, and a..skunk? Calin was confused, his peaceful moment was definitely ruined. However, his eyes wandered over the women on the boat. A hunger started to seethe in him and he casually reeled in his line, picked up his tackle box, waded out to the ladder. After a certain point he’d have to swim a bit but he got there, his body was soaking wet now though but his tackle was water proof and fishing rods were designed to be fine when wet after all. So he wasn’t missing out on anything there. He climbed the ladder, a polite young woman taking the fishing rod from him when it came within reach to allow him to climb easier. He got into of the boat, dripping wet, and his jeans clinging to him because of the water. His hair was dripping and hung partially in his face, dripping tiny drops onto the boat. More drops of water clung to his body, sliding down his skin as gravity took its toll upon the liquid. He would smile at the young woman who had held his rod, yes, the fishing one, for him. “Thank you Miss, I appreciate it.” He would say, flashing a smile at her that looked somewhat wolfish. He would then turn to the.. Pirate? “Thank you for inviting me aboard good sir. I couldn’t rightly refuse when I took notice of how lovely the company was.” He would say, looking around him at the women surrounding them. “My name is Calin, and it is a pleasure to meet you good sir.” He would say, holding out a hand to shake, should the enthusiastic and, barely dressed, man accept his grip he would give a firm handshake.

“I must say your attire is quite interesting.” He would say as he looked down at his own simple black jeans.”I feel.. Overdressed.” He would say, before leaning his rod upon the bulkhead, setting down his tackle box and sliding his jeans down in one smooth motion, despite the water. Yes, he was just that good. Under it, his own speedo would be in sight, the small piece of clothing black, causing his already white skin to seem a pale as milk. His well toned body would be a stark contrast to his companion, who was much thinner and has significantly less muscle than he. He did however seem completely comfortable in his skin, which is what truly mattered at the end of the day. “Now I seem to be in proper attire.” He would say, tossing his jeans off the side of the boat. Without meaning to however, the jeans would hit the fishing pole he’d left leaned against the ship and the rod would begin to fall over, the hook coming loose as the rod flipped over the edge of the boat. Calin moved quickly to catch the rod, feeling the comfortable handle sliding into his grip. The hook had fallen in the water, and it was then that Calin realized that the cricket he’d hooked to it would still be on it.
