It was getting to be a little much in the village. Something he never thought he would say regarding his new life. How long had it been now......he was nearing a record for one place for one time among people. He’d never stuck anywhere for long, but the place was working. His brother the doctor, and now his......well Akihana was there too. Truthfully she hadn’t really picked up doing much of anything as far as Maku could tell. He’d given her his room, and he now resided on a couch with a little less than desirable stuffing

With so many ghosts, it was getting spooky.....so it seemed a good time to inspect some of the farms he got his produce from. He was on his second one so far, the sun high in the sky. He’d forgotten how long it actually took to get from place to place when one didn’t use any special abilities. It hadn’t been so bad, he’d taken to riding in the back of the cart, meditating while Sarah steered the mule. He was regaining strength, his mental muscle as it were. One thing he had to say, the reappearance of the two other “Sannin” had caused a revival of his powers. As though without purpose they faded, but something was coming he couldn’t see, and they were waking for it.

While meditating he focused on the nature abound, the chakra emanating from Sarah, from the mule, from himself. To most he’d be a bright spot, a flash of gold unmatched in a land of dark blues. It could be a torch, and while he didn’t fancy bringing anyone else in, it seemed the only way at the moment. Hiding his energies hadn’t worked for sometime, and perhaps it would keep others away.

The first farm had specialized in the fruits, while this one was more traditional. He assumed the farmer knew some form of ninjutsu, as the rice farm seemed normal, but a large area of more concentrated dirt yielding potatoes was well out of place. He had nothing against hiding in plain site obviously, so he didn’t say anything as he examined the farm. “Thank Youka Sarah, lay the man and get him to help load up, for these prices it’s owed...”. Maku would say giving the stern old farmer a look to match. A grumble but the two got to work.

Smelling the air he looked up, a high sun, a clear sky. Hands in pockets he wandered away from the farm, moved up into the nearby hilly pasture. Looking around and sensing he found no one, except a few livestock meandering about scavenging for food. Still, something seemed off. Closing his eyes he opened his mind, though only one image entered it, and she was still not telling them something. When he got back, it would be time to bring everyone together for a real round table. One person was fine, two, but now three all together in one place, they’d draw attention. He wondered if they should just split up, the land of rivers had a nice place......maybe he should leave them now that they had eachother......before he brought something down on them from above.

Rin screamed as the world around her transitioned to blackness, she screamed and yet no sound was heard, she thrashed her body and yet she could not move, this was all so new to her, the realm around her was vile, composed of shades of blackness, nothing like the beautiful shining silver realm she glimpsed when phasing between dimensions. She could still feel that monster's thick corruption reaching up around her, pulling her down deeper and deeper into a thick pool of blackness that she knew she would never recover from. Mustering all of her energy she cut of the flow of chakra keeping her in this realm and found herself hurtling through space only to feel a hard impact on the back of her head as her momentum came to a rather abrupt stop, colliding with a .

"Oh god's I think I'm going to be sick" She muttered stringing together more than a few less than ladylike expletives in amongst her words as she rolled over and promptly threw up that mornings breakfast... all over what appeared to be a pair of leather boots... "Well thats rather odd, who left a perfectly good pair of boots out... wherever this is?" She mumbled before collapsing on the pair of boots barely conscious."

Its strange isn't it, how differently people react to unexpected things, some people shake off change, look at it as simply a regular part of every day life, other people freeze up, unable to process things not going to plan. One would assume the man sitting in this cart fell into the latter category, for despite a strange heavily wounded girl coming hurtling out of nowhere and throwing up her breakfast all over him the man had done nothing. Groaning in pain Rin forced her eyes open again, she couldn't be sure how long she'd been lying there on this nice new pair of leather boots... 'Well they were nice before' Rin thought to herself before rolling over and coming face to face with a young stern looking man looking shocked at her.

On any other day things would likely go differently; years later Rin would look back on this day and wonder about the strange man, could they have been Friends? Allies? Lovers? Regardless this was not another day and on this day Rin was little more than a wounded animal. After everything that had happened to her the primal part of her brain saw not the man looming over her but a monster, a familiar monster with skin as white as ash and black soulless eyes staring down at her; Screaming in terror that primal part of her cried out urging her to lash out at the monster that had taken everything from her; and so she did. Rolling over and ignoring the pain in her butchered arm she grabbed a kunai from her belt and threw it haphazardly at the figure before her.

Assuming the man remained stunned and unmoving by her appearance the blade would strike with a dull Thunk and a sickening Crunch could be heard as the sharp knife pierced right through his cornea and penetrated into his brain, likely killing the man in an instant and pinning his head to the back of the wagon they sat in.

For a moment Rin sat there breathing heavily and trying to calm herself... then the screaming began, it took her a moment to realise that the screams were not coming from her, rather they were coming from the man... no wait that wasn't right, with a blade through his head the man was dead, well and truly dead; and yet she could still hear those horrible screams coming from him, and so whether out of fear, or terror, or exhaustion she too began to scream, tears running down her face she scrambled backwards, only to come up against the edge of the cart... the still moving cart. Looking up Rin found herself staring straight into the eyes of the cart's driver, a woman who's terrified eyes carved into her soul like a knife. Panicked and still in immense pain Rin's instincts kicked in and with a flick of her wrist her second kunai went flying into the woman's throat and suddenly everything was quiet except for the muffled sobs of a young woman huddled in the corner of a cart.

It was hours before Rin realised that the carriage had come to a stop, with one last sobbing breath Rin picked herself up and limped over to the two corpses that she had made, it was a terrible shame, but there was no point in leaving evidence, leaning down she threw the man over her shoulder and, after jumping down from the carriage she flicked her wrist and allowed a thin stream of fire chakra to set the carriage ablaze, nearly crumpling to the ground again as her veins burned. 'What is this, its as if my own chakra is burning me?' she thought to herself as she pushed herself towards the sunset

NRPG - Nice Ripe Potato Game (IO) Empty Re: NRPG - Nice Ripe Potato Game (IO)

Taichi knew a few trails that were popular for folks who wanted to get out of the villages and cities of Fang. He was underground using his Mayfly technique and had two clones waiting on the side of the road, biding their time until they would ambush any caravans or wagons that would come by. After a little bit of waiting, Taichi was able to see a single wagon coming down the trail. From what he could tell, there were three figures coming down the path on a single wagon. The clones telepathically alerted Taichi who was all on the wagon.

There seemed to be a man sitting in the wagon, seeming to contemplate his life's choices because he was not saying much. But that was made up for with the woman that was in the wagon with the man. She seemed to be obviously disturbed, but the clones cared not for her mental well-being. When the wagon got closer, there seemed to be something going on within the wagon, but no one was harmed, at least not yet. The wagon was within 10 meters from the clones, who were both merged with the trees directly off of the trail so they would be able to be seen. Taichi was still under the ground so he would not be sensed as he hid beneath.

The woman began to scream, but just as her screams began, the wagon would be hit with both clones storming the wagon. The first clone on the right side of the wagon would leap into the wagon and stop the woman from throwing the kunai knife at the man that was also within the wagon, while at the same time blocking her from escaping from the right side of the wagon, holding her down so she would not dodge or block the next attack. At the same exact time, the second clone would be leaping into the wagon and performing the V6.5 Wood Release: Cutting technique. Three branches would protrude out of the clones body and impale the woman that tried to take the man's life.

The branches would all three impale the woman, coming in from above, below, and from the left. If these branches were to impale the woman, she would surely be dead upon impact.

Hi, after discussing with taichi gonna have to call a battle mod. This thread is marked as private and predates the hideout rules update; as such it shouldn’t be invadeable.

Hi, after looking over this situation it seems like it would have been a pretty open and shut case. Regardless of the board that this is posted in it's quite clear that this topic was not taking place inside the Den of Inequity itself.

However, upon looking further into this situation it's quite clear that Maku was last in Fang Country, but this topic predates all of them and it's clear that he never left... which would in turn render all of those topics and post void. Not to mention the fact that Maku's death would clearly do the same thing, wiping around 20 topics worth of character development and story for Maku and everyone that he has RP'd with since September. Clearly this was an oversight on the part of Maku, and truth be told I am not comfortable with that amount of story simply being wiped by what was clearly an oversight, and him trusting to be in a topic with the wrong person.

It's for those reasons, combined with the fact that both attacks launched in this topic were quite clearly metagaming (Taichi to kill Rin for an easy rank up and to save Maku, Rin to kill Maku for the easy rank up), that I will be moving to void this entire topic. If anyone in this topic disagrees with this ruling they are free to contest it and call for a second opinion.
