The Aftermath of Kemuri
Thu Jun 08, 2017 4:33 am
Sou woke up quick at about noon. Her eyelids bolted open to reveal a crimson iris that quickly reverted to its normal color. Slightly dazed, a little confused, asleep on the ground not far off from where Kazuo was the day before, but no longer hungover her head tilted over her left shoulder and her gaze locked with that of the young man whose hand was deep in her pocket.
Not just any little shit was about to get away with the last of her liquor funds. Not on her watch.
As hers narrowed, his pupils widened. Ripping his hand from the pocket he jumped to his feet, turned on his heel, and bolted off in the other direction. Sou followed suit by rolling over herself and to her feet.
Taking off after this petty thief she kept track of his head by focusing on the color of his hair, which was blondish enough to make him distinct compared to most of the villagers in this little town.
Running along, the boy-man pushed an elderly man into her path and sent him stumbling. His goal was to leave an obstacle for her so that she couldn't keep up with him. Unfortunately for him, her moral compass was questionable at best and this old man meant nothing to her. As she ran she sidestepped the older gentleman and allowed him to fall, doing nothing more than busting his ass.
"Goddamn hooligans!"
This sound rang out through the street and caught the ear of the thief of thieves, who looked over his shoulder long enough to check if the man was being attended to. With a quick glimpse of Sou gaining on him, he attempted to quicken his pace. Not one to be outpaced, she in turn started running faster.
Down the street and around the corner they went. Shops, elderly gentlemen, you name it and they passed it. As soon as he rounded the corner he made it about five meters before he dipped between two houses and made an attempt at disappearing.
Never played the fool by fools, Sou caught him as he rounded corner and followed him. Once she was between the houses her hands met to form a handseal an old friend once taught her. Water began to swell up in her cheeks, produced through chakra enhanced salivating.
Behind the houses was a fence that walled off the rest of the street. At this point the woman was rounding another corner where she caught sight of the man trying to climb the fence on the far side. His gains were weak however and he couldn't make it up before Sou slammed into him with her shoulder, right in the middle of the back. Falling from the fence, he'd land and tumble down.
Her hand siezed his collar, forcing him to look her in the eye. Spitting in his face, he would flinch and receive a strike to the throat from her other hand. Falling to the ground fully, she'd pin him down and begin strangling the man, not really hard enough to kill him but definitely hard enough to make him think she was in the process of sniffing him out. With one last punch to the nose, she pushed herself off of the gasping man, retrieved her money from her pocket and made her way back home.
About two hours later, the world was all spinny and easy to forget, just the way she liked it. "Gimme another," she oh so graciously requested from the bartender before slamming a fistful of coins on the counter like she was drunk or something. Home sweet home.
