Yar Har Fiddle Dee Dee (Mission) Empty Yar Har Fiddle Dee Dee (Mission)

Tue Apr 25, 2017 1:16 am
Spoiler:

The sullen, silent darkness of the Hyuuga clan house bore into Aryll, even in blissful sleep. She could never escape the dread she felt of coming home to this place each day, but she had very little choice in the matter. Living here alone was all she could hope for, and the wealth that she and her clan possessed was enough to tide her over until she got her bearings. That said, she’d finally put herself up to start doing missions again, something she hadn’t done since living in Tengakure. She knew she needed to start bringing money into the house again, if only to feed herself, but also because she had to show the clan that she was still strong. She hadn’t asked for her brother’s position, but it had been thrust upon her. Like it or not, she had to keep working. To that end, she had spent the majority of the night studying something called a mark seal, as well as the summoning technique, in hopes of finding a way to transport Thane effectively without having to lug him around everywhere. After all, as much as she loved him, Thane was a giant pain in the ass to move, and he wasn’t always needed for combat.

And so she rose from her bed, her silver hair a mess, as she began to go through what had become her daily routine. She lifted herself out of bed and down into her chair, her upper body -strengthened significantly due to her recent loss- doing all of the work as she slumped down into the chair. She pushed her chair towards the bathroom, where she deposited herself into the shower, hanging on the bars for support like an ape as she sat herself down and turned on the water, leaving her clothes neatly folded at the door. Aryll was quite unusual in that she read books while she was in the shower. Nobody had ever told her this was odd because frankly it’d be weird to tell her that, and she didn’t really care regardless. Today, she was reading a fuinjutsu book, and the chapter she was on was covering the mark seal technique. A most interesting seal, on its own it did practically nothing, but when used in tandem with other techniques, particularly the summoning technique she’d noticed, it had many useful applications. She tried to form the seal on herself, just as a test, and watched the chakra burn into her skin before fading away, not quite enough to stay. She continued to read for awhile, then put the book away to wash her hair.

She sat there, sighing as the warm water ran against her face, when a strange tapping sound echoed through the bathroom. She thought it might have been a broken pipe at first, but the tapping continued, and she was able to pinpoint it to the bathroom window. The glass was stained and layered so she could not see outside it, but a simple use of her byakugan revealed the perpetrator to be a small carrier pigeon, holding a message. Dutifully, Aryll pulled herself out of the shower, throwing a towel over her chair and wheeling herself over to the window, sliding it open just enough for the bird to enter. It landed on the counter, and Aryll quickly unhooked the letter from the creature’s leg, allowing it to fly out the window once again.

Ripping open the letter, Aryll studied the print. Apparently, one of the islands that made up Kirigakure is soon to be raided by a band of pirates, lead by the dastardly Zack Carrow. Aryll’s eyes widened as she learned that he and the Blue Gem would be nearing the island soon, apparently they’d learned a way to bypass the storm barrier, and she’d been tasked with stopping it, along with three other genin and someone designated to lead the squad.

”No fucking way.” Aryll muttered, setting down the letter. This must be a mistake. She was just a genin, and this was an S-Ranked mission. This was way out of her league. Even so, she wasn’t one to complain, and she certainly wasn’t about to deny an order from Kirigakure. Xyxer would know, after all, and she couldn’t bear to disappoint her friend any more. Sighing, she turned off the water from the shower, combing her hair drying herself off.

She pulled on her clothes, a pair of navy blue NINJA pants and some black NINJA shoes, a black tank top and a jacket, tossing her beret onto her head haphazardly. She picked up the fuinjutsu book in the hopes that she’d be able to do some light reading should they embark on a vessel or something to reach the Blue Gem, but stopped when she passed by Thane, who stood dutifully in the storage room. She glanced at him for a moment, before looking down at the book she’d been studying. Her face cracked into a grin as she rolled herself, bumping down the steps, towards Thane, placing a hand on his chassis. For a moment, nothing happened, but then a small seal appeared, emblazoned across her puppet, and she knew that she had succeeded. Smiling, Aryll decided to continue reading her book, confident that she could summon Thane to battle. Worst case, she’d make someone push her back here, or she’d improvise something. She’d be fine.

The designated meeting point was, conveniently, right across the street from where she lived, which made Aryll believe that this assignment was indeed intentional, though she had no proof. Shrugging, she pushed her chair out the front door, and down the makeshift ramp she’d built for herself, her chair thumping against the bricks of the street as the sidewalk ended. She dutifully wheeled herself across the street, spinning her chair so that she was in a comfortable spot, then looked down to study her book some more. Her headband was displayed prominently, so it would be easy to tell she was a part of this mission. She simply read from her book about the summoning technique, glancing up occasionally to look around.

Yar Har Fiddle Dee Dee (Mission) Empty Re: Yar Har Fiddle Dee Dee (Mission)

Mon May 01, 2017 12:09 am
Jayce's life had been overly simplistic and a bit boring since he had graduated from the ninja academy. He had expected something much more than just the training drills he had been doing since then. Wasn't it typical for Genin to be assigned to certain missions for the village? Rhetorical question, of course it was normal to be tasked with missions. Still, it had been nearly two weeks since then and he hadn't been assigned to a team or tasked with even the smallest of missions to accomplish. He found it unbearably frustrating. So, in order to keep his intellect honed and not go insane from the extreme amounts of nothingness that was required of him, Jayce spent most of the last two weeks with his nose in every book on fuinjutsu that he could find. Now that he was an official full-fledged Kirigakure shinobi he was allowed access to all kinds of information which he found completely fascinating.

This morning was no different. The young Uzumaki had woken up early and immediately returned to one such book containing information on varying fuinjutsu arrays and their properties. The book was still opened to the page on a specific paralysis seal from the night before. Jayce had spent most of the night immersed in his studies of fuinjutsu, becoming especially curious about this seal. He spent hours upon hours trying to understand the inner workings of the sealing array and recreate the seal so that he could use it later on, or break it if need be. Half-crumpled sheets of paper littered his bedroom floor, overflowing from the waste bin set next to his desk. The lamp was still on and there was a small puddle of drool on the pages from where he had fallen asleep in the middle of reading. If there was any one thing that Jayce loved, it was the intricacies of fuinjutsu. Now that he was awake, he rose from his chair and made his way into the bathroom to clean himself up and get dressed for the day. The hot water hitting his back helped him to think. He found the sensation extremely calming. It also helped to rouse him from his zombie-like state.

When the boy finally returned to his room after being fully clothed he heard a small tapping sound coming from the window. Upon closer inspection he found it to be from a carrier pigeon. In a matter of seconds the window had been opened, the letter removed from the feathered animal's leg, and the flapping of wings could be heard as it left having completed it's mission. Speaking of missions, that's exactly what was contained in this letter. Jayce had to read it over three or four times to be certain of the information in front of his eyes. No assignments at all since graduating from the academy and then suddenly he is put into a team of three Genin under the charge of a higher ranking ninja to complete an S rank mission. Kirigakure certainly was no joke. And it was something about stopping a pirate lord, too. Without wasting any time the boy gathered up what he needed and left his house, making his way toward the designated rendezvous point. When he got there he was shocked to see a young girl in a WHEELCHAIR wearing a ninja headband. It was obvious that she was to be part of this mission, but he just didn't understand how. At least not yet anyway.

"Uh, hi. I'm Jayce. I take it you're also part of the squad assigned with stopping this Jack Carrow guy?"

As the other boy arrived, another letter would be delivered to Aryll. Apparently, their mission assignment actually had been a mistake, and they were relieved of their duty. She would relay this information to him, shrug, and wheel herself back into the house.

(Exit, gonna treat this as a training since this mission will never be finished due to people dying IC)

Yar Har Fiddle Dee Dee (Mission) Empty Re: Yar Har Fiddle Dee Dee (Mission)

Sinai woke up early this day. He nothing really to do apart from his training, yet he would need some good warming up before starting his routine. It was too early for the hot springs to open and no one would be undressing at this hour, so he thought it would be best if get his blood running with some old-fashioned training. With the Kirigakure system not following the traditional practice of squads that was univerial in the other weak villages, Independent initiative to further one’s prowess was the only way forward unless one got a sensei, something with Sinai was hopefully close to meeting. He got dressed quickly in a blue floral shirt and black slacks, cooked up a few Takoyaki and a bowl of rice for breakfast and downed them down a few glasses of milk; preparing himself for to face yet another day as a Shinobi

It wasn’t a short trip from his house to the Academy Training grounds but Sinai saw fit to take advantage of the empty streets and do some roadwork training at an accelerated pace. He didn’t really know what type of training he was going to be focusing on but getting his blood pumping whilst keeping in shape was always welcome in the line of work. Having been injured and put out of commission to the point where he even missed the le blood games so his body was straining at first against the sudden boost of activity and minute bolts of pain even shot up his ankle as it had not been fully healed but Sinai’s eagerness took the best of him and he got annoyed waiting around in bed. Once or twice his feet buckled under him and nearly sent him sprawling to the ground but luckily, he didn’t get too hurt.

It was as he was on his way to the training grounds that he saw a hunched figure in the distance; slowly shambling its way towards his general direction. He slowed his pace, slightly taken aback by what he saw. The clouded sun hit the huddled figure and shone off, as if its body was made from steel. At this, Sinai stopped completely, unsure what to do. He could clearly see the gleam of a headband, signaling that it was a fellow shinobi yet he could not recognize or explain who or what the thing was. He tried to tap into the back of his conscious to call forth his Ghastly Ally yet alas, he did not answer. Soon enough the huddled figure made itself clear to him. It was a girl, which after spending nearly the best of two weeks in bed meant this was the first woman he saw that wasn’t on a page. This would have released all the pent up lust, be it for one complication. The woman was riding what seemed to be a chair on wheels, which countered Sinai’s ultimate dojutsu, his ability to somewhat accurately gauge a woman’s BHW. At Least, She seemed to be pretty well endowed in the areas that Sinai could see at least.  The fact she wore a Chūnin vest did not go unnoticed but as always, Sinai brushed it to her earning her title just because she was a woman.

She seemed to be moving swiftly, probably using some kind of jutsu to enhance her mobility and his eyes reflexively glowed faintly as his curiosity on how she was moving so fast grew; He was taken aback by the sheer intensity of the woman’s chakra, so much so that he didn’t even take notice of her strange chakra pathway.  What was up with women in these village? Somehow, every Kunoichi he meets seems to be somewhat stronger than him. A strange thought followed, as a treacherous voice in his mind suggested that maybe he could learn something from her. In the past month, he had fainted, micturated himself, proceeded to hurt his leg  and to top it all off, injured himself while making his way back home. His honour was something which needed rebuilding anyways, so he couldn't really shame himself more if he asked the help of a woman. And so, he stood in the middle of the road whilst he fought the inner turmoil. To the outsider, he was a dude in the middle of the road, his face staring at Aryll with a mix of disgust, fear and contempt.

It was at about this point that Aryll would notice a guy in the middle of the road, staring at her with… He looked almost constipated, from the expression on his face. She was used to the sideways looks she often got from outsiders, but never something so blatant as this. Clearing her throat, the chunin stared down the boy, stopping about five meters from him in the chair as she spoke.

”What the hell are you staring at?” She challenged. ”Get out of my sight or I’ll toss you in the water.” Came the cocky, determined voice of Aryll Hyuuga. She had all of her mission equipment still, and while she did not have Thane, she had the means to summon him, should she require him. Still, the girl pondered if she even really needed her armor for this one.

Yar Har Fiddle Dee Dee (Mission) Empty Re: Yar Har Fiddle Dee Dee (Mission)

Sinai was taken aback by the commanding tone and found himself stepping aside, his gaze torn away from the contraption. He just stepped aside for a crippled woman. No, not a woman. A girl. Which made it even worse. He just knew that the day was going to be a shit day if this was its start.

Not wanting to show more weakness, he decided to try a barb. "I guess I haven't gotten used to all the academy students yet." he retorted as she past by him. The fact she was wearing a headband pretty much disproved that but that was not really a matter that made its way into Sinai's chauvinistic priorities.

As she moved out of his sight, a slight grin split his face. Not a perfect encounter but in his mind, he won. What he won, that is beyond the scope of the subject in Sinai's mind.
