Air Row or Arrow? Empty Air Row or Arrow?

Sun Sep 27, 2015 10:02 pm
Nejonin, hyped from recently learning the wind style, was currently looking to learn a quick and simple wind release technique. After reading through a few local books at his ninja academy, he realized a good technique to learn would be the wind arrow. It was rather extremely simplistic in its nature. However, he could augment it in the future with possible custom variations and so forth. This time, he was already at the training grounds that he preferred to use. The small one with the large rocky clearing that was surprisingly flat. Armed with his backpack, notebook, and pens. Nejonin already had his notes prior from learning his original wind release. He began first by standing with his backpack on the ground beside while taking in the surrounding environment. He would need to be able to create an arrow out of wind and solidify it for shooting from bows or use as an object capable of being thrown by himself. Nejonin first began trying to mentally visualize an arrow in front of him then try to channel wind chakra into the image at its correlating position within reality. Opening his eyes, Nejonin was met with was looked like a spectral ghost like arrow floating in the air. As he pushed his right hand out to take grasp, upon attempting to plant grip, the arrow fading away like a disturbed collection of dust upon an old piece of furniture. “Well, the fact that I can at least form one is something. Let’s try that again.” Nejonin stepped in for a second attempt at this tedious work. This time, without closing his eyes, he visually created another arrow. He tried to mentally simulate the strength of the arrow with visions of it being hit by a light hammer and not breaking. He pushed out in the physical realm and grabbed once more. This time, it felt like digging one’s hands into a fishnet of some sort with some parts being empty with others being simply and lightly strung together. In the time of a few seconds, the arrow faded to floating oblivion once more. “Hmm… It held more of a solid texture this time around. I suppose I need to think about the density and weight of it now.” Nejonin thought. He paused once more going in the process that had normally used. First imagine the arrow, then imagine the structure of it and its strength. At the end now, he began to think of the weight of the arrow and density, exact surface area, pressure multiplicity at the arrow’s tip, and the highest speed it could travel when using his maximum throwing distance and speed. The nearly blue in tint and slightly transparent arrow materialized before him. He reached out for grasp once more to feel satisfied at the object being rather solid and textured resembling that of some shifting like liquid mix of wood and stone. That’s when the arrow became very heavy and sunk through Nejonin’s right hand… “Damn it. Seems I didn’t put enough focus in this to allow it to sustain itself.” He tried once more this forming in his left hand in contact range. “This needs to work this time.” He formulated the arrow feeling the wind chakra circulate through him. As it materialized once more, he felt the object falling through his hand once more. “Nope, not this time.” He focused in more chakra unto the arrow resumed its more suitable form of shape. “This seems perfect enough. Now to test it out.” Nejonin reeled his arm back and threw it directly at the ground around top speed. It dug into the ground. Finally, one of his arrows were successful. “Hmm got it.” Nejonin jotted all this down into his plentiful notes. “This should do the trick.” He said packing his notebook and pen into his backpack. “Time to head hope. I’m pretty sure dinner’s ready by now.” Nejonin left closing the gate on his way while looking back to see his arrow vanish into the air.
