D-Rank: Guarding the Parade with Ashie :3 Empty D-Rank: Guarding the Parade with Ashie :3

Spoiler:

Ashie was home, like usual, it was night and she just couldn't bare the silence of her home. She was laying on her bed, her hair hanging over the side of the bed as she thinks to herself. Something didn't feel right to her, it was just so quite and her body felt tired and lazy. She huffed out as she sat up waking up her sleeping tigress that slept next to her. As she lifted herself up she walked out of her room looking left and then right, not hearing or seeing any of her family. She would sigh stretching out her arms over her head while walking slowing down the stairs. Once she reached the bottom she made her way slowly into the kitchen turning on the lights before looking at the table seeing a bunch of papers. Getting excited she'd run to the chair climbing onto it, kneeling on the chair she'd look through the papers. Her excitement came to a screeching hault. They were just more missions. Well, since no one was here, she'd might as well do her job and do a mission. Looking through them one by one she sighed softly, they were dull, boring, missions. Until one caught her eye, tonight there was going to be a Parade, and a lot of people were going to be there to watch a Lord lead the parade. They need extra bodies to make sure  to weed out any suspicious figures. Nodding to herself she folded up the paper and reached forward to her pouch on the table stuffing it inside, once she closed her pouch she strapped it around her right upper thigh before hopping off the chair landing with a soft pat as her feet hit the cool tile. She'd make her way out of the kitchen and up the stairs jumping up the last three top steps she head into her room closing the door behind her for privacy. Her tigress rolling around on her bed as she de-robed herself of her clothing.

She'd put on her white haori and pulling on some black leggings and slipping her feet into her sandals before she grabbed her headband tying it around neck and using her hair tie to pull back her black hair letting her bangs frame her face. She grabbed her sleipnir off of her vanity and put the chain around her neck looking at her onyx heart and see a slight discoloration. There was something wrong....or maybe it was her imagination. Looking in the vanity mirror she activated her eyes. Staring at herself in the mirror of her vanity she winced. She looked scary, maybe it would be best to tackle this mission without her Masutaii activated. She sighed before turning to her bed smiling at her cute little tigress showing its belly to her. "Be good Auracle okay? Don't chew up any of Samuru's books while I'm gone 'kay kitty?" to which the tiger chirruped cutely, showing its belly to her as it purred. This allowed Ashie to turn and make her way back down stair opening the front door to step outside. Before she closed the door she took on good long look inside looking down before whispering inside their home hoping that her message reached her family concentrating into her sleipnir to send a message to everyone, "See you soon, I love you Samuru-nii, Uncle Echo, Daddy." She finally closed the door entroute to her mission.

She followed the lanterns that lit up the village. Coming across a couple vendors and Ladies dressed in brightly colored kimonos. She watched them as they pass. She sighed wondering if she would look pretty in a kimono just like them. She gasped at her own thoughts shaking her head to disperse them. She shouldn't be thinking like this, only adults think like that. She slowly started to struggled getting a good look at her surroundings since she was so short. She looked around for something for her to stand on, one thing that came into view was the dango shop. It had a lot of lanterns adorning the roof so she can see the people on the streets below. She jumped up her sandals making soft taps on the tiled roof. Walking along the edge she let her eyes peer out, all the girls in kimonos all the boys in yakutas. Her eyes also caught a fish game stand across from the dango shop. This game had little kids use paper nets and try to scoop a fish into your bag, if you can scoop it without breaking the net, the fish was yours. She sighed out, here she was, 6 years old and watching people have fun instead of having fun. She shook her head, clearing such weird thoughts. Maybe she could ask Daddy if he could invite uncle Koroshi, Echo and even her brother, and they could all dress up and catch little gold fish in bags and eat lots of yummy food! But for now she'd have to work on her missions.

She squinted looking at the small dango stand next to the fish game vendor. There was a kid curled up and crying, from the light of the lantern above him he had on a red and yellow checkered yakuta. "Red...?" It was a dye that was very expensive, a bold color. She leaped off the roof and landed on the ground below making her way across the road to kneel down to the kid, "Hey there, what's wrong? Why are you crying alone?" She'd ask making sure her eyes were de-activated so she didn't look scary. The boy looking up had tears and snot streaming down his face before sniffing loudly to clearly speak, "I lost my daddy!" He whined helplessly before letting out a sob or two. She reached into her pouch retrieving a tissue for the boy to blow his nose or wipe his face, "Here, wipe your face, I will help you find your daddy." She smiles the boy taking a moment to wipe his face and blow his nose before noticing her headband around her neck. "A-Are you a Shinobi?" I nodded and smiled a bit, "Mhm! I'm the best there is! C'mon lets go find your daddy okay?" She reached out her left hand to him, reluctantly he reached out his right hand before grabbing her own. She held on tightly as she stood up with him and leading him through the crowd to the announcer's stand. She told the announcer where she found the boy and then he asked for his name, well....shit....she didn't ask his name, which is really important when dealing with lost children. She turned to the boy and asked, "What is your name? I didn't get to ask." The boy shrugged before  he announced himself, "Yusuke." The announcer nodded at his name and went into the back to make the lost child announcement.

However, the crowd started to gather around the roped off areas where the parade was suppose to go through. and Yusuke was yelling something she couldn't hear while trying to push passed all the tall adults. Unfortunately he was kicked back, he was trying to get through maybe he wanted to see the parade, if it were Ashie her daddy would lift her onto his shoulders, but his dad wasn't with him. So she did her good deed for the day. She grabbed Yusuke's hand and used all her strength to push through the crowd making sure the boy was directly behind her so he didn't get hurt. A few moments passed before the crowd ended and she skidded on her knees to stop them from going further. She gritted her teeth in pain before she heard the scared neigh of a horse and she looked up just in time to see a horse with its hooves high in the air ready to land on her and the boy who she caught so he didn't slide on the ground. She lifted her weight onto her feet and pulled the kid with her further away from the horse so when it set its hooves on the ground it wasn't going to be on top of them. Five hundred pounds of animal is not one of the best ways to go. Once everything had stopped, the crowd fell silent, Ashie's knees burned with pain she winced but didn't falter in standing tall. She looked up at the man riding the horse as her stepped down and off of the horse, His yakuta was the same red and yellow checkered pattern, with a red haori strewn about his shoulders a single red thread keeping it from falling off of him. Taking a few steps towards the two Ashie carefully inched her fingers down to her pouch ready to draw out a shuriken or two if the man were dangerous. You can't trust humans now these days. "D-Daddy!" Yusuke yelled out as ran out from behind her towards the tall man as the man kneeled opening both his arms wide for Yusuke to run into. The two of them tight in embracing each other, Ashie's muscles would untense cringing as she could feel little drops of blood leaking from her knees the dirt stinging them, something she'd have to clean once her mission finished. She backed up about to turn clearly she'd done her job, no thanks needed. "Wait!" She heard the man call out, she turned back looking up at them both as he held Yusuke in his arm. "Young Shinobi, what is your name?" She gulped as the entire crowd was watching, listening. She breathed in collecting herself so the pain in her knees wouldn't show. "Ashie my Lord, Ashie Uchiha, daughter of Viper Uchiha and Akina Hyuuga."

The crowd would gasp and burst into gossip, some about fear, some about amazement, but the Lord raised his hand to silent them all and they did. "Young Ashie, what is your role in Konoha?" Another question, was he spying on her life? "I am a fresh Chuunin, I am the one guarding your parade this evening." She spoke the truth, but only what he needed to know. She didn't need everyone in her personal life, humans were such cruel creatures. "Then, Young Ashie Uchiha, it would honor me greatly if you lead our parade." He said this and the crowd went wild stepping to the side as one of the parade men brought out a pure white horse.
Ashie faultered blushing softly before uttering, "Thank you my Lord but..." The audience fell silence hearing her subtle denile. "I am honored for you asking such a noble task! Alas, I-I do not know how to ride such a wonderful horse!" The crowd giggled helplessly, she even heard some villagers mutter about not being able to ride horses either. Looking up at the Lord he chuckled before walking over and lifting her up by her under arms. This action caused a panic inside of her as she wiggled helplessly, not wanting to hurt the man, but not wanting to be kidnapped or hurt either. Soon she was being seated upon the white horse the man handing her the reigns showing her had to show the horse how to stop, go, and turn before ruffling her hair. She nodded turn to see when they were ready, watching the man climb onto the horse behind her sitting his son in front of him. "Konoha are you ready?" He shouted before the crowd shouted, "Go!" Ashie nervously tilted her reigns forward telling the horse to move forward. The entired village was cheering as she walked by. She kept her attention on watching people who looked suspicious. Anyone frowning, anyone sticking out like a sore thumb. Fortunately no one caught her attention. Soon the parade came to the end and the Lord helped her dismount the horse. Once she reached the ground she turn to him and bowed, "Thank you, it was an honor to guard you and your son tonight." She lifted herself once their bow was finished and turned to leave, she heard Yusuke in the distance, "Ashie! Thanks for helping me!" She smiled softly to herself as she made her way back home. The lanterns turning off two by two as she passes by them, one on the left and one on the right. Watching as the people who once flooded the streets all retreated to their homes or inns if they were visiting. She noticed her house at the end of the Uchiha district, a little light blue lantern dangling outside the door. Smiling she ran over and lifted the small butterfly card at the end of the rope, it read, 'Happy Birthday!' She smiled and lifted the lantern off the flag holder on the side of their home and opened the door disappointed to find that no one was home.

For now I suppose she could rest before tackling another mission tomorrow trying to dull out her feelings. Her father was a busy man, her uncle a busy traveler, and her brother...last time she saw him they were in Asgard. Hopefully he didn't deside to get too comfortable there, her father wanted them to live normally here, not in Asgard. She thought all this as she went inside and go up the stairs and into her room where she placed the lantern on her vanity before shutting her door as she curled herself into her blankets letting her eyes close to let sleep take her.
