is timmy stuck in a well? Empty is timmy stuck in a well?

Mission Specs.:

Kotonaru walked through the village. It had been ages since he had done a mission. In fact, he had not done one at all since that disastrous one many months ago. He HAD received a reward, of sorts, but only through the deaths of many of his friends and fellow ninjas.Given the choice he would prefer to have none of his newly acquired powers, with his friends and comrades returned, safely. Power was not worth the pain and agony that it took to acquire it, he really wished others felt the same way. Otherwise the Uchiha would not be viewed as the power hungry backstabbing evil vermin many privately though behind their backs. He only knew because nobody knew he was an Uchiha himself, he seemed too mild, harmless and well wishing for that to happen. Besides, it was not like he ever used his newfound ocular abilities unless there was an emergency, and even then only when he knew nobody would see them. It was not just the grudge against those in power, the ones who mismanaged stuff, or those who just hated the Uchiha clan. He also had to watch out for the eye hunters, those people who wished to acquire ocular powers, famous dojutsu, themselves. He had seen a powerful shinobi in the baths once, who had extra eye sockets on his arms, torso, and the calves of his legs. It was weird and a little disconcerting being around that guy, not least because he was using his Byakugan for illicit purposes. He had told Kotonaru that he liked to use the Byakugan to watch television without paying for the service himself. It was nice really, since he got to practice extending his range far and wide, sometimes watching multiple shows at once. He was virtually at the point not of being able to both watch the Kage office to know if he was needed, AND watch Smarmy Barney or any multitude of other shows at once, from the residences in the other side of town. Quite interesting really, Kotonaru wondered if he would ever be able to develop such exalted powers himself.

He walked into the mission room. This was the first time since the disastrous mission, the officials were surprised to see him. They still felt a bit bad for him it seemed, as they gave him a fairly easy looking mission. There was a dog who was rather loud. It was annoying the kage because it seemed to know him personally. It tugged on the sleeves of anyone who walked by with its mouth. It seemed rather intelligent, it had gotten the attention of the officials by whining and doing big, literally big puppy eyes on the women. Some held firm but an increasing number had their hearts melted. Eventually it was determined that the dog was trying to get other people to follow it somewhere. Now, the part that Kotonaru had trouble with, was not the details of the mission or the work detailed. What Kotonaru was unclear on was why none of the people the dog had been attempting to get to help him, why none of them had simply followed it, instead putting the mission through the normal process that took several days, before deciding to put a mere genin on the case. Honestly… Kotonaru shook his head. There were times when he truly did not understand the ways of the mission office, they seemed to be so silly at times. Thank goodness the mission was listed as urgent, one tier under “The Kage’s Orders”, or the mission might have taken a week to be listed and then assigned…. Urgent was not always truly urgent apparently.

Kotonaru accepted the details and scanned through them. Frankly, he had heard pretty much everything from the word on the street. He already knew where the dog would be found, this was going to be boring, frankly. Unless the dog had something interesting it wanted others to see. Regardless, the only thing Kotonaru did not know, or accurately guess before accepting the mission, was whether he would be paid and if so how much. It seemed the mission would not be worth much, at most buying him a couple of kunai. Well, money was money, and it was better than not having the money he supposed.

He walked over to the place where the dog was normally found and sure enough there it was. It was tugging on the sleeves of passerby or occasionally giving a pitiful whine. Kotonaru walked up to the dog and gave it a friendly pat on the head. The dog seemed to perk up quickly and barked more cheerfully, without any of the keening or whining sounds it was making earlier.

The dog started to trot off in one direction so Kotonaru started following it. It was easy as the dog was fairly large, even for a ninja dog, it seemed to be growing faster than normal. It also helped that it was wagging its tail a mile a minute, it was making Kotonaru feel tired just watching it. He followed the oversized pooch through the streets, and eventually outside the village gates, sometimes having to jog to keep up.
Eventually the dynamic duo made it to a small well about 10 feet deep, in the forest. The dog started looking over the edge and Kotonaru joined it. There was a small boy probably about 3 years old in the bottom of the well, still crying, one of his legs at an unnatural angle. It was a simple job to pull the little kid up and bring him back to Konoha, or more specifically, its hospital.

Kotonaru reported back to the mission assigning office. His job complete, he stopped by the library to check up on a jutsu he had been trying to learn, which was called “Water Needles” or something like that. The jutsu seemed simple enough, you just put your chakra into some water, forming it into a series of needles capable to stabbing and potentially cutting things. Cutting would only work though if you made a series of stabs using the needles one next to the other. Kotonaru got a sheet of paper from one of the stands in the library and walked into the bathroom, which was so far his favorite place to train. In the bathroom he turned on the tap and attempted to form needles from the water.
