Aquantinces? {P, IO}

Yes, it was another picturesque day in Kumogakure: heavy grey clouds hung overhead and the smell in the air indicated rain. It didn't get much better than this in the village hidden in the clouds, well at least for Ukita. The chuunin oddly enjoyed these days that others would call glum and depressing-there was something calming about it for the Uchiha. Currently Ukita sat under a tree watching the vast training grounds of Kumogakure. He did not wish to train, because as of late he had been able to overpower most of his opponents without much trouble. As a result the chuunin had mostly taken to watching others sparring and such to gain a better understanding of all important technique, which he was lacking too an extent.

Ukita was currently watching a pair of what appeared to be jounin practicing a bit of taijutsu. Oddly the two jounin were not very adept in its use, but Ukita did not mind as there was always something to be learned. Were one to see Ukita they would see a man wearing a long sleeved white shirt with the emblem of Kumogakure emblazoned on the back. The Uchiha also wore long brown pants that were just the right length and size so as not to impede him in battle. Furthermore, running down his back, one would see a simple braid of almost greyish hair reaching halfway down the shinobi's back. On the ground next to Ukita sat a ninjato, he had intended to practice a bit, but had become sidetracked just a bit. So, for now were no one to interrupt him, the chuunin sat watching the two jounin attempt to overpower the other one.

"Another grey and dull day in the village...seems almost nolstalgic in a sense, well...let's see what today has in store for me," Yaju stated this simply as he looked from the shadows of his cavern, peering into the distance of the village. On this occassion he looked a bit ragged and worn out like he hadn't slept in days or maybe a couple of them, but his eyes were bagged with black and his hair itself was matted and thrown everywhere. He had no attempt in trying to fix it, but as he would make his way out of his home and down the mountain path to head towards the village, the heavy mist that covered the path slowly fixed his hair, but only enough to where it wasn't completely a mess. Walking into the village one would be able to see his full attire, a simple sleeveless red shirt with black outlining, black pants and simple red foot wraps. A scythe shrouded in tattered bandages sat lingering on his back as he slowly walked through the market of the village yawning, making slow turns and waving absentmindedly at those who waved at him.

Slowly he made his way through the village before coming to the training grounds, not knowing where he was exactly until he had seen the training posts, numerous people, and a group sparring. It wasn't until this point that he had been ten meters from Ukita simply staring at the two jounin fighting, a small smirk appearing on his face. Even if he didn't practice taijutsu like he used to, he could see that the both of them were not only inexperience...they were just terrible. Looking over to the boy who would be not far from him, Yaju would look back to the Jounin fighting and speak," Haven't seen anyone this....bad in taijutsu in a while. You aren't going to join in and spar?," figured it was odd to just sit here and not participate, but then again he was the one who walked here without much thinking.

Slightly irked that someone was disturbing him, Ukita glanced up at the man who had arrived and responded in a cool detached way, "You said it yourself, they are poor practitioners of taijutsu, why would I wish to join in sparring them? If I watch them I can mentally correct their myriad of mistakes without having to punish them and end a spar too quickly. After all taijutsu is only partially physical, more so it is mental, like most things." With that Ukita returned his gaze to the two jounin. The jounin on the right seemed to have just claimed victory as he delivered a gut shot to the other one knocking the wind out of him. It was a rather anti-climactic fight to say the least and warranted a slight shake of the head. Well, perhaps he could find some solace in training by himself, yes, that would be a good idea. Naturally, Ukita had forgotten, well not so much forgotten as dismissed, the idea that the man that had spoken to him before was still there-the chuunin did not much enjoy being bothered by strangers.

Being one that has seen ninjas in this village once or twice, he couldn't put a name to this particular face...and it kind of made him a bit stressed on the situation but all in good time would he learn about this ninja. Seeing that his answer was more..generic or rather plain, Yaju would shrug and place his eyes on the two still fighting as he spoke," Losing is only another way of losing, so is getting hurt...so even if you did beat the living crap out of em' they'd still learn a thing or two...unless you're aiming for a concussion or two," he did believe that a little force in the right ways could help someone learn, simply being on the opposite end of a veteran opponent would allow them to garner from their mistakes and use their loss as a stepping stone to get better.

Of course as the spar ended with a simple gut punch, Yaju would smile and look back to the male beside him," So you would say you are better at Taijutsu at them? Mind showing a bit of what you can do?," of course this would be a weird question coming from someone you didn't even know, but then again Yaju was all for testing one of the other ninja of the village. Yaju would simply stand there with an off smile on his face, not one of malice or rage, but simply a smile that was hard to place. It would be a simple yes or no question as far as he saw it, even if Ukita said no he would remain in his position as his yellow eyes simply observed and watched.

Were Ukita any less respectful he very well may have scowled at the man. Were the master of something to be truly be a master they would be able to beat the amateur without giving them time to even realize what had happened to them. Naturally, the chuunin did not claim to be a master of taijutsu, far from it. However, he did believe himself to be reasonably adept in its use and it seemed that this man, whoever he was, wanted to see it put to use. Unfortunately for the man, Ukita did not just fight people to prove his prowess, he had nothing to prove to anyone. Had Ukita been a few years younger he very well may have been baited into a reckless attack, but the years had lent Ukita patience to cool his once fiery temper. Thus, in the same cool unattached tone, the chuunin responded to the stranger as he stood up and faced him, the tree to his left and his arms by his sides slightly tensed along with his legs, "I would say I am better at taijutsu than those two, yes. Also, I can assure you that I don't much like showcasing my abilities without reason."

In hopes of intimidating the man across from him, Ukita's eyes glinted red with the crimson red of the sharingan as he said the word 'yes' and remained that way. Normally the chuunin avoided using his sharingan, but as of late he found that it was often enough to unnerve people, hopefully it worked here. Then again, if it did not this would be most awkward as it left the two shinobi facing each other simply standing there. Perhaps, if all else failed, the stranger would walk away out of awkwardness, yes, surely that would work. One thing was for certain, Ukita was not going to simply turn tail and run like some two bit coward.

So he simply gave him a no...a rather straightforward no at that, but it was an answer that he expect at least minorly. Looking at the boy himself he would respond in kind without a sense of malice or sadness in his tone," Fair enough for me, although what if you were in the face of a superior and it would be more of a demand than a question. Then again, i commend you for your restraint," putting it simply he was pretty impressed that the younger male didn't take his challenege and instead gave him a satisfactory answer. With that being said he could only look over the boy for a moment more before catching the sight of his eyes changing," A doujutsu?," his original thoughts floating around to remember the sight of it until it clicked into his mind...the sharingan. He had only seen the doujutsu himself a couple of times, once from the Clan head himself, and another when he had fought Kurisu. Of course at one point he had found some in the lab, but seeing them pointed at him only made him smile.

Returning the favor in kind, he would look into the boys eyes, activating the Byakugan and smiling as he spoke," Sharingan huh? Quite a cool thing you got going on," his body would turn to fully face the boy as his yellow eyes stared into his while under influence of his clan's prized doujutsu. Now things were going to be interesting as the two stared at each other, one of the Uchiha and one of the Hyuuga simply locking eyes until one of them had said something...this was going to be a bit awkward but fun at the same time.

Ukita's temper was slowly creeping up on him like a pot coming to boil, this guy was persistent-too persistent. The question about superiors, ah, that changed things that changed things. Ukita was loyal to Kumogakure and would doing almost anything asked by his superiors, though he would not follow blindly. And then the comment on the sharingan, perhaps, were Ukita to care for the Uchiha clan at all, it might have forced him to attack, calling a sacred doujutsu 'cool'. However, Ukita did not care for the legacy of the Uchiha or for the clan all that much and, as a result, did not really care what people said about his doujutsu, it was nothing but a tool to him like a kunai or shuriken.

Calming himself before he spoke Ukita beat back his temper once again and retained his former stature, " Were it an unreasonable demand from a superior I would disregard them as a fool, one should not follow an order blindly no matter who it comes from. As for my sharingan, I guess it is a curiosity, but it is just that and nothing more. Much like how speaking with you has become a curiosity, a boring one, but one nonetheless." Was Ukita trying to get a rise out of the other man? Of course he was, the chuunin resolved not to break before the man if he could help it. The one thing Ukita knew was that attacking out of provoked anger was a fool's errand and led to mistakes and mistakes were fatal.

In an instant Ukita's eyes turned to slits as he narrowed them at the man's laughter, was he mocking him? Was this some sort of elaborate ploy? However, his eyes went from silts to almost wide eyed as the man seemingly did a three sixty and introduced himself, an odd turn of events to say the least. Though the chuunin was not without manners. He gazed at the man for a second or so after he finished speaking and then, in a literal blink, the blood red sharingan were gone from his eyes replaced by a coal black. Not hesitating any longer he covered the distance between them in a matter of moments and reached out to firmly shake the hand of the man named Yaju, the name rung a faint bell, but nothing major-Ukita did not keep up with current events all that well.

If the two did indeed end up shaking hands then, after breaking the brief handshake, Ukita would return the courtesy given to him by Yaju in a more genial tone than that which he had spoken with before, " It is pleasant to meet you Yaju, my name is Ukita, Ukita Hideyasu." At this point Ukita shifted to a more lighthearted joking tone, "So, do you make it a habit to stare people down you only just met?" Granted Ukita had returned Yaju's stare, but that was of little consequence, Ukita could respect a man who was willing to meet the gaze of sharingan. Many people before had averted their eyes in fear of some magic spell or something, Ukita was not entirely sure why. He  had not been well versed in the nature of the sharingan beyond its immediate helpful effects due to his upbringing away from any clansmen.

"A pleasure to meet you Ukita, and to answer your question," smiling as his eyes returned to their normal yellow color," I only do it to the one's i think will stand for themselves and not cower over in fear. Although i didn't expect you to return the stare so intently...didn't see it coming but it was a nice twist on things," shrugging slightly he would release the man's hand and return his own to his pockets before looking to the side and scratching his head. The two that were sparring had caught sight of him and nodded before walking off, the gesture only being enough to get a simple nod from him," So Ukita what rank are you amongst your ninja? I haven't...well to be honest i don't think we have met or heard of each other outside of this simple exchange so i'm curious as to what rank you are," a simple question to start off a simple conversation between the two ninja as they stood there.
