Kumogakure Team 1 Meeting {P}

It was a droll overcast day-nothing new in Kumogakure. Honestly, Ukita was getting bored of this seemingly unchanging weather and more so his monotonous daily routine. Day in and day out it was the same: train train train-never anything new. However, today was different. Today he was to meet his new team. Ukita had never been much of a leader, but there was always time for change. Who knows? He might even enjoy it.

Earlier in the week he had sent out a letter depicting where and when to meet to each of the three genin that were to be on his team: Sigan, Ashley, and Shinichi. Naturally the young chuunin had read through each of the genin's files and knew about what clan they were from and their records as shinobi. Nothing too remarkable stood out to Ukita at first glance, but then again he had merely glanced over the files. Thoughts of how to go about working with his team swirled around n bis head like a brewing tempest.

Currently Ukita sat cross legged on a wide stump in the middle of the training grounds. The training ground were nothing special: flat ground as far as the eye could see with a gravel and dirt mix covering the ground. It was rather desolate to say the least. There was a slight breeze that blew through Ukita's almost grayish hair as he sat waiting. His hair as per usual was in a clean braid that ran down his back and stopped in between his shoulder blades. On his left hip was a sword that clinked ever so slightly in it's sheathe. Ukita's pants were long baggy and brown-they looked almost peasant like. However, this peasant-like look was offset by the regal armor of a true samurai warrior that adorned the man's frame. Now all that remained was for his students to arrive. Wanting to get some practice Ukita decided he would test out his chakra senses as they would no doubt be key later on in his shinobi career.

Shinichi was very eager to finally have been assigned a team. Kumo team one, lead by Ukita Hideyasu. He'd received the letter a few days ago, and was exited to finally get to do some real ninja work. That morning, he hastily got out of bed, not bothering with fixing the covers, and quickly got dressed. His clothes were his usual green jacket and lose pants with basic sandals, with his katana scabbard on his back. He didn't really have all that much equipment yet, so that was pretty much the extent of his attire. He headed downstairs and ate a hastily prepared breakfast, and made his way to the training grounds. He wondered about what they'd be doing today, and what his teammates were like. The way he heard it, the one called Sigan was a genjutsu user as well, so that was someone he could relate to. His other teammate, Ashley, was a ninjutsu user, and that was about all he knew. He didn't know much about their teacher, only that he was a fairly new chunin.

As he reached the training grounds, he noticed a man sitting on a stump alone, and since he was the only one he could see, Shinichi assumed he was Ukita. He would approach the man, before waving at him.
"Shinichi Nara, reporting in for kumo team one!" He would say, bowing slightly at his sensei, and taking a seat by the stump. "Am I the first one here? No way." He would ask Ukita, looking around for one of his teammates. He didn't see anyone besides them. Well, he had been a little overexcited about this, he'd barely slept all night.

The sky held a nice shade of grey as Sigan arose that morning. He followed his usual routine of dressing in his bodysuit, followed by his coat and and shinobi boots. He then gave a simple smirk as he wrapped his scarf about his face forcing his mouth and nose to vanish from sight, before hanging his ninja headband about his neck. Standing to full height he looked about his simple apartment letting his gaze linger on several sheets of paper from his most recent research. He had received a letter from Ukita Hideyasu about the formation of a squad for Kumogakure. Though he was more interested in his own goals the assistance and witnesses of his squad mates would surely give him an advantage in advancing quicker. He noted the letter laid out atop several sheets of info that held information on each of his new team members, which was the standard records one could receive from the academy. He was a shinobi, and to add to this he was a strategist, he would not be held in too much surprise with what came from the new squad. He mentally recited the summary of the research he had done during the week. Ukita was a solitary type new to the rank of chunin. As he was leader he would receive the respect he deserved but to be held in personal respect he would need to earn it. As for Shinichi Nara...Another genjutsu user...Granted he had a clan and use of the Shadow Manipulation techniques but Sigan did have his doubts about the higher-ups placing two genjutsu specialized shinobi in a single unit. Alas it could not be helped. Ashley Hikari...She was a lightning specialized ninja. That would have to suffice. Sigan's left eyebrow twitched. He may feel disappointed from the records but he may yet be surprised. He was not one to judge before the contest even began. And with that he turned towards the door only sparing a moment to snag an apple off the table to eat later, and to strap on his ninja tool pouches. Inside of the first held a few scrolls of light reading he enjoyed, but for the second he held 3 kunai, 2 of which had special blank tags that had a symbol drawn upon them, 20 senbon, and 3 spare blank bomb tags.

The weather was nice, dark, and dull. Just the way Sigan liked it. He took note of the people passing him by before he began reaching out and keeping a Sense up. He turned his mind and body towards the training grounds before continuing onwards. The world was a nice shade of grey with figures filled with blue. This had a somewhat calming sensation on Sigan as he stepped onto the grassy training field. He noted 2 shinobi a ways off before he even caught sight of Shinichi and Ukita. He recognized them from the crude by effective photos placed in each copy of the files he had obtained. His cold blue eyes surveyed both from afar, analyzing them as he approached. Ukita seemed to be dressed in a samurai's battle armor, which was an oddity due to the unstable nature samurai and ninja have had in the past. Shinichi seemed extremely ordinary in physical appearance. Ukita sat upon a stump which Sigan assumed was a hidden reason to imply his rank to his new squad. It mattered not to Sigan as he stood firm in his thoughts that he would utilize the tools given to him by the Raikage. He would find uses for each member of squad one, even if it were just as a meager distraction to amplify his own abilities during missions. He shook his head, forcing his mind clear and his expression blank before coming into a visual range that would be noted. Putting all outward thinking aside he focused on his approach and impression as he stopped beside Shinichi and gave a curt nod. "Sigan Nyte. Here to respond to Squad One's summons. At your service." As he spoke he gave another nod to replace what may have been a bow to some. His pale blue eyes rising to meet Ukita's. He would await his response before acknowledging Shinichi as would be standard protocol.

It was just as Sigan arrived that it occurred to Ukita: he did not want to be a team leader. He was just a chuunin-nothing more. Shouldn't a strong jounin be teaching these punks? With this thought in his mind he stoof up on his stump and with a speed that the genin would be unable to track blurred off back home: rejection was always a good way to train. Who knows? Perhaps the two genin might make something of themselves. Though they would be doing it without Ukita as he had other ideas in mind.

Shinichi stared at the stump where Ukita was sitting. What had just happened? Did he just... leave? Just like that? He looked over at Sigan, dumbfounded. 
"Umm... did he just leave?" He asked, staring back at the stump. "But... Why? Did we do something wrong...? Well, I guess... I guess I'll see you later, then. " He muttered, disappointedly. He started walking slowly away, unable to comprehend what had just taken place. What was going on on his would-be sensei's head?

Sigan blinked twice mentally noting the darting Chunin not by sight but by chakra sense. He sighed and shook his head ignoring Shinichi's questions and his departure. This was not what he was looking for. He smirked a hidden smile beneath his scarf and turned towards the pond used for chakra control training and would resume his vigorous training once more.
