Who gave him those color sprays?!

mission:

Rin was coming from the training grounds, it was a lively morning and he just spent good three hours training. Just as he entered the village another chuunin, who was apparently assigned guard duty, stopped him and handed him a mission assignment. He explained they received it a few minutes ago as they changed shifts with the previous group. The mission was D ranked. Objective - to capture some kid that is painting on village walls without permissions. Rin smiled, it sounded easy enough. Probably they wanted him to start easy after the incident... Rin shook that thought away and after nodding to the other Chuunin he jumped up on the nearest building and continued on the rooftops to the village center. Where he hoped to find the kid.

When he made it there, he noticed how noisy it is and that finding the little brat might be more difficult than he expected. Rin leaned against a wall and observed the rabble for a few minutes. After deciding his target is not here, he began walking through the crowd. It was quite obvious he needed some info and the best place to get some is market district, there would certainly be people who knew the kid and were not happy with what he was doing. Rin was making his way there as he noticed some kind of strange painting on a wall, haven't seen anything like that before. And he was not sure if it was a painting or a writing. Soon when he got to the market he learned that that painting was work of the kid he was looking for. Apparently he missed him doing that, but he better find him before he makes any more of them, as people around here seamed very unhappy with such paintings on their houses and shops. After asking around a bit Rin got enough info about the boy. He was 9 years old, had red hairs and black eyes, a bit taller than others of his age and usually wears in green and gray.

When Rin was done here he got onto the rooftops and began actively looking for the boy, now that he knew how he looks. Soon he noticed the kid, who was now walking from a fresh painted graffiti, carrying all sorts of things with him. Rin jumped on the ground not too far away from the kid "Hey you!" he used boy's name to get his attention "Shiro, stop!" The boy looked at him and immediately noticed the Hidden Mist's headband, fear appeared in his face, he dropped some of his stuff and began running away. Rin frowned. He wanted this to go peacefully, but it seams the boy had to be captured by force. The Chuunin jumped on the rooftops again and followed the kid who was running at an impressive speed for someone who isn't even a Genin. He knew that because somebody in the market mentioned Shiro being in the Shinobi Academy. Apparently he was a problematic one and also Rin should expect some tricks. The Chuunin caught up to him without breaking a sweat, he was thinking of a way to capture the kid and not injure him. Apparently attacking him was too dangerous. There must have been another way.

Suddenly Rin lost sight of the kid. He stopped, got onto another building and hid. Apparently the brat tried to lose his trail as he emerged from a shadow a few moments later and continued running, unfortunately for him Rin would not be fooled so easily. Chuunin raised his hands and formed a single hand seal. The next moment he appeared right before the boy. Shiro was surprised and almost fell down. "You can't run away from me, kid..." But the boy did not listen to him. He turned to the side and left the street while entering another one. "Yea... whatever!" Rin smirked. No other choice. He went after the boy, while putting his hand into his pouch. At the next corner he threw a wired kunai around the boy, catching him and binding him to the nearest post. Rin would get the kunai, leaving the boy bound. Then he would send a message reporting his success.

It was after noon. Good few hours until dusk. Rin had a patrol assignment. He was heading to the spot where he had to meet his group right now. He was a bit late. When he arrived to the clearing, which was the spot, everyone was already there. They were not very angry about being made to wait and there were a few reasons for it. First they knew Rin had suffered a mental trauma not too long ago and second who would prefer being left alone over having someone to chat with? Well, truth be told, Rin preferred it. He quickly apologized to the others for being late and they went to change the previous patrol group. The area they would patrol was mostly grassland with some occasional small forests. After relieving the previous team they checked around the whole area together, as always, and then split into their individual posts. Rin's post was near one of the small forests. He made a few rounds and then walked into the forest, found a tree from which he could see almost everything around him in a good three kilometers radius and climbed up to its top. There he sat on a branch. It was getting dark, two more hours and he goes to sleep. Rin knew that being relaxed while on such a duty was against protocol, but from his experience it was very unlikely somebody would attack the village. Although he did know there were a few times they barely prevented such an attack. Well, as long as they don't see him and he sees them it's alright. He spent his patrol time like that, sitting on a tree branch and daydreaming. That's low ranked mission for you. No need for tension. When their time was done, Rin and his group were relieved by the next group who had night watch duty.
