Meeting In The Mist. - Page 2 Empty Re: Meeting In The Mist.

Fri Nov 02, 2012 10:22 pm
Okichi continued to walk, he was almost about to yawn, he was tired. Having not slept too much last night. He held back the yawn, trying not to make it seem as if he were bored. He would smell the ramen cooking just down the street, he had nearly drooled from the smell. It had indeed smelt delicious, in Attuu's opinion.

He listened to Minorin, as she had mentioned she had never heard of anyone who's been interested in Fuinjutsu before. Which, didn't really surprise Attuu, as he didn't recall anyone within Kirigakure he had ever met have training in Fuinjutsu. Even his senseis at the academy have never used a single Fuinjutsu technique, low ranking or not. He had remembered them mentioning it in class, however they also mentioned Kirigakure having somewhat a lack in Fuinjutsu users. "Yea, Fuinjutsu doesn't seemed to be something that is used often here in Kirigakure, the reason I plan on it is due to my clan, the Uzumaki being specialists in Fuinjutsu, and I want to continue their skills in Fuinjutsu." He said, basically saying that he wanted to become one of the best Fuinjutsu users, as most Uuzmaki had lived up to. "And yeah, I guess I could be considered someone who gets determined. Really determined on mastering Fuinjutsu, anyways."

He looked, as they approached the ramen shop.

[OOC: You mean Attuu* and not "Okichi," correct? =O If not this makes for one odd convo.. =P]

Minorin entered the ramen shop and took her seat on one of the stools. It had been kind of difficult getting on the stool considering it was almost as tall as she was. She was thankful for the horizontal bars that gave the stool support; they worked as wonderful steps.

Minorin was still thinking of what Attuu had told her. It was true that the Uzumaki were specialists in Fuinjutsu and it impressed her that Attuu wanted to continue their skills. They were both still just kids so everything seemed shocking, she suppossed everything always seemed shocking around young shinobi. They had such big shoes to fill.

She sighed, it was almost depressing to hear but it also encouraged her to work harder. Hearing something like that, even if it wasn’t meant as an important subject, it definitely was one for heated conversation. She blew such thoughts away and looked at Attuu as she sat on her stool, “It’s good that you’re so determined!” She smiled, “Once you’re out of the academy you’ll probably do well, I doubt many people are prepared to have Fuinjutsu techniques used on them.” After saying this she turned to face the counter of the shop and got the cook’s attention, “I’d like to order one bowl of shiitake pork ramen, please.” Minorin then began fishing through her dress pockets, searching for some ryo to pay for her meal. She couldn’t wait. This dish consisted of a mushroom soup broth which was accompanied by, of course; soft ramen noodles, pork, and bamboo shoots. It was one of her favorite things to eat and a dish she ordered on a regular basis.

The sounds of cooking met her ears and she delighted at such a clamor. It was always nice to be among good food and people. She tottered on her stool and waited, today was a pleasant day.

Attuu would walk into the ramen shop with Mino, taking a seat near her. He would listen to her sigh, he would begin to think if something he had said had upset her in some way. 'It's good that you're so determined!' He had heard Mino say, Attuu began to think it had been fine, though he didn't forget the sigh. 'Once you're out of the academy you'll probably do well, I doubt many people are prepared to have Fuinjutsu techniques used on them.' He heard her continue "Yea, it's rather good I am determined, I suppose." he would reply to the first part, "And, thanks. Bet you're already doing good, considering you've passed the academy already." He would say, then he would listen as she ordered. After she spoke, he looked at the man. "I'll take anything.." He would say, hoping for something good. He normally took whatever he could get when he ordered food from here.

"So, you said you're good at ninjutsu, do you use more long ranged ninjutsu, or more close ranged?" He asked, trying to continue the conversation once more.

Minorin listened to Attuu’s responses as she rummaged through her pockets for the ryo she brought with her. She found it and placed the shiny coins on the table, they clinked as they hit the glossy surface of the wooden counter. Minorin noted that Attuu didn’t mind what he was served here, that was interesting too. He was just a very interesting person, being friends might be fun. He seemed to be determined, polite, and he seemed to appreciate whatever food he was served since he requested “anything,” perhaps that meant he was grateful as well.

She smiled at him as he questioned her about the kinds of ninjutsu she used. She thought for a moment and she tapped the side of the counter with her small fingertips, “Well, at the moment I only know one technique that could be used for either long range or short range; it can also be used evasively. I hope to learn more soon but lately I’ve been focused on training and completing missions. And since I use earth release and live in Kirigakure, with all of our water users, it’s kind of hard to find other earth release users to teach me new techniques besides Denkiteki. He’s a Chuunin.”

The cook then set down two bowls of ramen in front of them, one for Attuu and one for Minorin. Minorin thanked him and grabbed her warm bowl of ramen, it looked delicious. She took her chopsticks and started eating, she couldn’t wait any longer. It tasted just right; she decided she would leave a tip for the cook later.

Attuu would listen to her, as she smiled and tapped her fingers, seemingly at Attuu's question. He had heard her answer, how she used techniques that could be both, and how she hasn't known any earth release users other than her friend, who's name had somewhat rung a bell. "so, you use Earth release then?" he had asked her, "Must be hell to use against water techniques." he said, somewhat remembering the teachings of his sensei from last year, when he mentioned that earth release was weak against water, and other against others.

He watched as the chef placed two bowls of ramen, he saw the steam rise up, as he picked the noodles up with some chop sticks, quickly, before it had the chance to cool off, he had shoved it into his mouth, and began chewing until it turned to small bits that he could safely swallow.

Minorin stopped eating and wiped her mouth with a napkin that had been lying near her bowl of ramen. She then grinned at Attuu, “I suppose it would be hard to go against someone who used water techniques, but thankfully I’ve never run into one I didn’t get along with.” She’d never fought a ninja who used Water release yet but had passed many on the streets of Kirigakure and shared warm words, Minorin was always dreading the day she would have to fight one, she had to hit Chuunin soon so that she could maybe learn water. To make things even in a fight against one.

“How do you plan on fighting a ninja who uses Water release?”

She wanted to know his thoughts, she could escape an attack by using the Hiding like a Mole Technique, maybe even pull her attacker under, but she didn’t know what Attuu would do and that made her inquisitive.

He heard her answer, as he ate his ramen, soon finishing. He would listen to her as she would ask how Attuu would deal with water release users. "Well, I suppose I'd simply counter with the use of other water techniques." He would answer her question "Most likely keeping a distance, due to me knowing some water techniques can be melee, yet they could be rather ranged as well." He would continue "Oh, and if I hadn't already told you, I am a water release user" He would finish off, now correcting when she said that she hadn't run into a water release user, though she could have meant in battle, which would mean he hadn't corrected her.

Meeting In The Mist. - Page 2 Empty Re: Meeting In The Mist.

Minorin listened to Attuu’s reply and noticed that he had already finished his ramen, she smiled a little. Well, that’s an Uzumaki for you I suppose. His answer made sense; she would do the same once she learned water release if ever pitted against what would be another water release user.

Then Attuu said something that surprised her, that he was a water user, he definitely hadn’t mentioned that before. Maybe it would be good to train with him some time to get a better idea of what water users were capable of first-hand. She’d never seen one in action before, actually manipulating water and such. She was pretty sheltered and didn’t usually pay much attention to those around her unless she felt threatened. In which case she would stay aware of the threat.

She looked at Attuu, eyebrows raised a bit, “Oh, well, you hadn’t mentioned that before, nice to meet yet another water user! We have so many here.” Minorin smiled; she should have figured he was one, Kirigakure was teeming with them.

Then Minorin noticed the wristwatch of a customer on her right, Attuu had been on her left. It was now nearing 5 o’clock, and if she didn’t hurry home soon her mother would be worried. She knew Minorin wasn’t doing anything today and wanted her home by five so that she could teach her how to prepare a couple of quick meals so that Minorin would be able to make a quick meal on the fly if she was on some sort of long overnight mission.

She sighed and looked from the watch to Attu, “It seems I have to be on my way, it was very nice meeting you though! Let’s meet up again sometime.” Minorin smiled and hopped off of her stool, leaving a tip on the counter for the cook. She then ran down the streets of Kirigakure towards her home without waiting for a reply. She didn’t see any reason for walking or to have a prolonged goodbye, she was the kind that thought when you had to leave you should just go. No point in being late over a goodbye or something trivial.
