Navi vs. Akina Sparring Session (No Kill) - Page 3 Empty Re: Navi vs. Akina Sparring Session (No Kill)

Mon Jul 23, 2012 11:24 pm
His timing had to be flawless, when Navi didn't feel his attack connect with a powerful thud his eyes grew wide. Her reflexes were incredible to have dodged his attack. Navi couldn't let up, he knew her style, she wouldn't retreat, next would come a counterattack. I can't let her land this counterattack or I'm finished. She was so fast, and Navi was running out of options. His mind raced. Quickly he concentrated what chakra he had left in his right elbow, this way he could move the joints in his forearm with lightning speed.

When both of her hands lunged forward his right forearm slapped them away, then he jumped backwards too avoid any last finishing moves. Navi was out of chakra and out of breath. His body twitched involuntarily and sweat rolled down his cheeks. He looked up and saw Akina in roughly the same condition, panting heavily with a worn out body. If they continued to fight, one of them, if not both, would end up in the hospital.

Akina broke the sound of panting and heavy breathing that filled the air.
“It’s getting late, so we should probably be getting back to wherever it is we call home. If you would like somewhere nice to stay, I’m sure my aunt and uncle wouldn’t mind not seeing me in the hospital because of training.”
Her voice was cheerful and heartwarming, a completely different person compared to the girl she just fought.

Navi couldn't help but turn a little red at her offer. He bowed lowly to hide his sweaty blushing face. When his head resurfaced he smiled politely back at her. "I will humbly accept your offer, Akina. To tell you the truth, most of the time I just fall asleep on the grass watching the stars after a full day of training. An actual bed would be a welcome change of pace." Navi lowered his guard and walked towards her. This girl is my comrade now, and just as she would protect me, I will give my life to protect her.

Navi stumbled a little as he walked towards her. He had to hope the Hyuga clan's living area was close, because neither of them had the strength to walk very far. Akina herself was swaying heavily back and forth. Navi caught her quickly before she fell over. He swung her arm over his neck so they could support eachothers weight. The sun was almost setting and they needed to get home.

Navi smiled broadly through heavy breathing. "So which direction are we headed exactly"?

Navi vs. Akina Sparring Session (No Kill) - Page 3 Empty Re: Navi vs. Akina Sparring Session (No Kill)

Mon Jul 23, 2012 11:56 pm
There was a small stretching of her lips into a smile, and
Akina sighed wearily. “I’m glad you
accept, Navi-san.” She staggered a little on a part of the uneven field, but
Navi still had enough strength to catch her.
She was slightly startled, but she found the action reassuring. The girl knew she found an ideal teammate and
hoped that it would work out well enough.
At least, until I decide to go off
and see the world. Hopefully by then, he’ll
understand…I made a promise to someone…and I can’t let a nakama down. Though…

Her eyes flicked to Navi, and her smile grew a little, looks like I may have found another one. The Hyuga kept walking, and it seemed as
though it was all a dream. “It’s not too
much further. We are fairly close,” she
said with confidence. Her eyes looked at
Navi again. “What’s it like sleeping
under the stars? Don’t you get cold,
hungry, and lonely?” Her voice now held a semblance of concern, but her face
lit up as she began to see the street lights of Konoha light up the town. The girl wondered if there would be a
festival soon, or if that was just the general atmosphere the village had after
one had put in a good training session.

She stopped walking for a moment. Darkness was falling on the land quicker than
she had expected, and it was then that she realized that she and Navi had been
walking fairly slowly. She stifled a
sigh and hung her head slowly. “Wait
here, I’ll be right back,” Her voice held a grudging tone. She knew her aunt would be talking over the
fact that there was a boy entering their house at such short notice, and then
the picking would begin. She supposed
she should be happy that she had someone who treated her like a daughter, but
sometimes, her aunt was a little…unrestrained.
“Ba-san, I’m home!” Her aunt looked at her while turning away from the
slatted window. There was a smile on her
face and a rosy hue to her cheeks.

“Welcome back, training again, I see?” She laughed
warmly. “Who’s that boy? Is he joining
us tonight?” There was a hinting edge to her voice.

“Hai, Ba-san,” Akina said, bowing low, “if that’s alright.”

Her aunt nodded, and Akina walked stiffly back outside and
nodded at Navi. “Come in, it’s alright,
though Ba-san is quite the teaser at times.” Her voice was somewhat dry. “The good news is, though, it’s warm inside
and the food is hot.” There was another smile on her face.

Navi vs. Akina Sparring Session (No Kill) - Page 3 Empty Re: Navi vs. Akina Sparring Session (No Kill)

Tue Jul 24, 2012 12:18 am
As they walked together she was looking at him and thinking deeply about something, but Navi decided not too ask.

“What’s it like sleeping under the stars? Don’t you get cold, hungry, and lonely?” Navi laughed politely and responded. "You get used to the cold, but its absolutely beautiful on a starry night. To answer your second part, yeah I'm usually hungry, I haven't had a hot meal in over a year. To answer your third part, yes I'm usually very lonely." Navi had a flash of his family being massacred and winced at the image. It's not fair of me to drag her into my emotional state. Navi looked up and smiled through the sorrow, "it's not so bad, I have entire village full of friends". That wasn't true, Navi couldn't even remember the last friend he had. Akina was the only one coming to mind, and they had just met today.

Akina walked ahead to greet her Aunt and Uncle while Navi stood a bit back. They talked for a bit, but Navi couldn't hear much over the sound of his own panting. Then Akina turned back to him “Come in, it’s alright, though Ba-san is quite the teaser at times.” Navi smiled again and bowed graciously. "I am very appreciative of your incredible generosity". She continued when he lifted his head. “The good news is, though, it’s warm inside and the food is hot.”

Navi was stunned when he walked inside, the warmth of the house was foreign to him. Maybe he could just sleep on the floor. When they offered him warm food he could barely even murmur a "thanks". He would need to thank Akina again later, their level of generosity is something that he had never experienced. Navi made polite conversation while they ate and attempted to maintain a calm demeanor. It seems like my family is the entire village of Konoha.

Navi vs. Akina Sparring Session (No Kill) - Page 3 Empty Re: Navi vs. Akina Sparring Session (No Kill)

Tue Jul 24, 2012 2:46 am
Everything if anyone wants to verify:

Navi took a break from his training on the field, he had invited a fellow student from the academy to come spar with him. Maybe they could be friends, who knows. He sat down in the middle of the field and took a deep breath, the wind was gentle and the grass was swaying back and forth. He ran over the grass with his hands and patiently waited. Akina had received a very strange invitation from an Academy Student from Konoha. The invitation asked if the girl would like to train, which the Hyuga girl could not easily turn down. Even though she had just become a Genin, she had very little time to relax.

Akina slowly walked out of her house, stifling a yawn. She began walking to the training grounds, renewed with energy and motivation. The girl was excited to be meeting someone new, and she wondered what exactly that person was interested in and what he or she hoped to do after becoming a Genin. Her hands carefully tied her headband around her neck loosely, as she could not find a position on her head that looked good on her.

As she came to the training ground, she saw someone pacing back and forth somewhat impatiently. Akina walked up to the person and bowed politely and smiled shyly, waiting for the person to speak. Navi had all but given up waiting for the girl from the Hyuga clan she invited. He was pacing back and forth and had used most of the leftover time training. Finally the girl had entered the clearing. He watched as she approached, taking special notice in the headband tied loosely around her neck. She had become a Genin before him? Navi was silently angry at himself for a moment. His sulk was broken by the girl when she politely bowed and smiled at him. There was an awkward moment of silence before he realized she was waiting for him to speak.

"Right... I'm glad your here" he stammered. Navi took a deep breath and regained his composition. "I'm pleased to meet you Akina" he said while taking a small bow. "My name is Navi and I invited you here because I need a talented partner to spar."

Navi shifted his weight and crossed his arms. "If we fight, we will be training partners. No using lethal force or any tools like shuriken or kunai." The wind blew across the field and rustled the grass around their feet. Navi sighed again, this time his eyes met Akina's and he smiled.

"I would be honored if you would accept my invitation". Akina smiled gently as the boy began stammering a little. She understood that her silence would be a little off-setting, and the thought of that made her blush slightly. The girl returned Navi's slight bow with one of her own, as she rose back to an upright position, she spoke. "My name is Hyuga Akina, and it's nice to meet you. I hope things will go well between us," her voice was somewhat quiet.

As the girl listened to the boy, she nodded her head gracefully. "I understand, Navi-san. This will probably sound like common knowledge, but it is not in my family's style to use weaponry." Her feet and arms slid gracefully into the standard fighting stance for a Hyuga. Silvery eyes met Navi's, filled with gentle determination. I will help you to the best of my ability, she thought as a small smile parted her lips.

"I accept your invitation humbly." Navi couldn't stop his mind from racing. Being raised by a Uchiha family meant thinking quickly with an observant mind. He may not have been born into the clan, but he had learned their tricks and skills.

"Akina Hyuga" he thought to himself. As with most shinobi in the Hyuga clan she most certainly would be using the gentle fist style. She may not have mastered or learned the style itself, but her taijutsu would certainly reflect the stance and movement. There was more to this girl though, she carried a subtle hint of pain. Navi had spent a couple years in an orphanage and instantly recognized that look of anguish. From the look in her silvery white eyes Navi could tell Akina had lost her parents as he did. He was certain that Akina shared in his agony. That experience shaped who they were as ninja. She would surely share his ambition and determination.

As expected Akina slipped into the famous Hyuga fighting stance. Navi walked backwards casually until he was a couple feet away from a nearby bush. He smiled when he heard her say she accepted his invitation. In that case... *

*Spoiler: In the blink of an eye Navi replaced his body with a clone and hid behind the bushes. The clone is a perfect illusionary copy, not a solid replicate.

"They say the Hyuga clan produce powerful shinobi that are the pride of the Leaf village. I want to see if those rumors are true." Navi struck a combat stance, his palm outstretched and a fist held close to his chest. If she uses her Byakugan she will see through my trap he thought to himself. I need to lure her into attacking me before she uses it. His next move would be to surprise her and draw her close with an outburst. "Prove that you are worthy of your parent's sacrifice!"

Navi crouched low behind the bushes ready to pounce, hopefully he had successfully baited her into attacking. This would give him the opening he needed to land the first move.  Akina smiled slightly as she watched Navi back away from
her. Her stance lowered quickly, and her
eyes never left the man in question. She
saw him disappear from her view and groaned quietly. There was a moment where the wind shifted
again, but the girl did not allow it to bother her. She was already very carefully preparing her
chakra. It began to flow through her
calmly, and she shifted her stance slightly.
Her chakra continued to flow through her steadily as she began to
whittle it down and compound its energy.
Of course, she would not really know where to land her strikes on the
boy, but it was high time she began practicing her family’s traits more
seriously. Akina’s thoughts shifted to
her mother and father and to her aunt and uncle. They were counting on her to become the light
for the future of Konoha, and she could not let them down.

“If you want to discover the truth behind the rumors of my
clan, that is fine, but I don’t intend to go easy on you,” her voice echoed
calmly in the air. Akina saw the boy
ready his stance, but there was something about him that seemed off about
him. Though his intentions seemed
sincere, he was a very arrogant young boy from the way he talked of her parent’s
sacrifice, as though he knew what he was talking about. Akina found her teeth gritting and her jaw
setting in a firm line, but she also felt the need to control her
emotions. Sure, this guy might be a
little annoying, but the girl could not afford to be hasty. She slowed her breathing a little, allowing
herself to get lost in the flow of the world around her, and the flow of her
own chakra. The girl thought about
activating Byakugan, even though hers was not complete, so it would not exactly
help her determine if there was a clone present or not, but she decided that
such a notion at this time may be careless.
However, Akina was in quite a dilemma, as she did not want to blatantly
rush her opponent head on.

Instead, her stance shifted yet again as she completed the
hand signs for the clone jutsu. A clone
appeared beside her in a puff of smoke.
She nodded to the clone, and they both advanced forward, but Akina was
hiding in the trees and biding her time, though she was also rushing forward and said "What would you know of my parents?" She threw an open palm in front of her as though she was going to strike out at the air.
The clone also rushed forward recklessly as it prepared to strike
out at the boy, saying, “What would you know of my parents?” Its eyes glowed fiercely.

As it was attacking, the real Akina had found her way
through the trees, sticking to the shady sides of them as much as possible, to
where the boy seemed to be hiding. Akina held a fighting stance on the branch, waiting for the time to strike. The clone mirrored her movements. Her movements were risky, but she hoped they worked. Navi smiled to himself. She was fast and calculated. His plan might work if he baited her a little more.

Navi watched as Akina created a clone and dashed away to hide. Her clone attacked his copy and Navi's clone disappeared in a puff of smoke. He wouldn't waste chakra fighting a clone vs. clone battle. He needed to get her angrier to bait her into a head-on attack. She's hiding somewhere, behind a bush or in some trees. I need to make her think the real me is sitting close to her and unaware. Navi created another clone that pretended to hide behind a tree in the clearing. If Akina had a sharp eye, she would see the clone and maybe even be baited to sneak up and attack it.

"What would you know of my parents" Akina said fiercely and bitterly. All he needed to do now was to stop her from thinking calmly. "I know that you are a weak and pampered Hyuga that thinks she's special for losing her parents". It felt horrible saying this to Akina, it was a lie and he knew it. Baiting and deception are just like any other ninja tool, Navi reassured himself I need to learn to utilize them.

Navi crouched entirely concealed from view. "I'm sorry" he whispered to himself.  Akina remained in her tree, crouching down close to the
branch after dismissing her clone. She
kept a close eye on her surroundings and noticed Navi appear in a nearby tree,
but she remained fairly calm. Both
people, after all, seemed to be biding their time and testing the water, so to
speak. The girl closed her eyes and
allowed the chakra to flow through her serenely and calmly before she began to
make the chakra thinner and more condensed.
The final step would be to allow the chakra to flow out through her
hands. She contemplated activating her
Byakugan.

She paused for a moment to think, because she had a feeling
that the boy was not in the tree, like he seemed to want Akina to think that he
was. If she used her Kekkei Genkai, as
incomplete as it was, would show her what was really going on. The only problem was Akina did not think it
would be very fair toward Navi. There
was another problem though, because Navi was also taunting her fairly
harshly. Her eyebrow twitched in irritation,
but what good would it do if she blatantly attacked the boy outright and
because of her anger? The girl bit her
lip. If he was going to play unfairly,
maybe she could as well, but it didn’t feel right to do that to him.

Still, what else is it
that I can do? She had just started
doing the hand seals for Byakugan, when she heard what Navi had said about her
and her clan. Her hands began to shake
and the irritation flowed through her violently, causing her chakra to torrent
through its network. She began to inhale
and exhale slowly, trying to bring calm to her body. Her chakra flow slowed enough for her to
correctly divert a portion of her chakra to her eyes. The veins on her temples enlarged as blood
and chakra pumped through them powerfully.
The world around her became grayer and living objects looked misty and
their chakra networks were revealed to the Hyuga girl faintly, though a little
more focused than it was the other times she had tried the jutsu before. Her eyes revealed to her that there was
indeed something living in the tree near her, but she did not jump out and
attack it right away. As she looked
around, Akina saw another life form in the bushes. She released Byakugan, feeling the pain
settle into her head as she diverted her chakra flow from her head to her hands
as she jumped down from the tree branch and headed for the bushes.

She spotted the boy and rushed at him, releasing the strict
chakra flow in her hands, causing them to glow with a very bright blue
hue. Her rage had returned to the surface
of her mind, and she began striking out at the boy as though he was a punching
bag. “I am not just a pampered Hyuga who
thinks she’s special just because she lost her parents! I’ve worked hard to get where I’m at
now! I don’t try to deceive people
either!” her voice was harsh, and her eyes glowed with an intense flame. Navi was easily discouraged, he had insulted Akina to bait her into a trap that might not even work. He watched as she leapt out of the tree. He clenched his fist and watched intently. Why isn't she attacking? Navi stopped cold. She had used her byakugan. It would only be a matter of time before she saw where he was hiding.

His heart sank. He hadn't meant to hurt her feelings, but now he had an angry Hyuga girl determined to beat him down. Her byakugan meant that he couldn't use any more simple tricks, he would need to fight her head on. She had a significant advantage in speed, but he had a slight edge in chakra and strength.
As expected she was rushing his position head-on. He stepped out of the bush into the clearing.

"I am not just a pampered Hyuga who thinks she’s special just because she lost her parents! I’ve worked hard to get where I’m at now! I don’t try to deceive people either!"

Navi sighed to himself. "Please don't be offended, deception is a tool of a ninja, as a Genin I'm sure you realize that". Navi looked closer as she sped towards him. Her hands were... glowing blue. There was no way she could hold that much chakra power in her hands and be using the Byakugan. I cant let her hit me while she has this much power, but if I keep trying to dodge her speed will catch up to me. He hadn't any more time to think, in an instant she was upon him. Akina released her Byakugan and struck out with such force that he felt she would destroy him.

Navi leapt backwards, narrowly dodging her fierce blow. Her eyes were intense and he really hoped she didn't harbor too much hatred for him. He related to her in many ways. "I didn't just lose my parents Akina, I lost my whole family. You had an entire clan to raise and teach you. You were even blessed with kekkei genkai."

Maybe she would listen, or maybe she still boiled with anger. Navi slipped into a fighting stance with an outstretched palm and a fist held close to his chest.
Then he rested his eyes on her and watched carefully.  Akina realized her hand had almost struck at the boy. Even with her nintaijutsu still in training,
the girl realized that it would have been a harsh punishment for someone who
was being fairly apologetic. Her eyes
calmed slightly, but she turned her body gracefully to face the boy. Her hands began attacking the boy’s pressure
points with a slightly less intense motive.
“I don’t care what you’ve been told!” her voice held an edge of
harshness. Her eyes took in the boy’s
figure quietly. “I’m sorry that you lost
your clan, Navi, but the truth is, mine only taught me the beginning of what I
need to know, and I’ve been sheltered all my life.”

As her attack finished, she held a strong stance and waited
for the boy to move with a counter, she smirked a little. “It’s not what’s been done to you in this
life…it’s what you do with the life you’ve been given. Tell yourself that deception is just a tool
all you want, but I’m not going to use it.
If I fight with someone, my intentions are true.” Her voice was serious
and cold. Her stance shifted just
slightly, but she would be ready to guard herself against any attacks the boy
might try and throw at her. The glow
from her hands diminished a little, as the Hyuga girl was not really looking to
injure the boy too badly if he chose to attack her. I’m
sorry that I am being so harsh…everyone has their own Nindo, and yours makes
more sense in this crazy world…but still…if you keep deceiving everyone, you
may just end up deceiving yourself, and I don’t want to watch you do that.

Akina managed to smile while her body tensed. “I think you are a good child, with a good
heart, so it doesn’t make sense for you to be using such lame measures on
yourself and others. Come at me with
intent and show me what you are really capable of. If you are serious about becoming a Genin,
you will have to find your own way in the world of Shinobi. The path won’t be easy. This is what I was told in life.” Her voice
sounded slightly remorseful as she took a breath after releasing a sigh from
her lips. I think you have the fighting spirit down inside you, and I want to see
if I’m right.

Navi sighed heavily to himself. "Every time you use a transformation, you lie about your appearance. Each time you use a clone jutsu you deceive your opponent on how many of you there are. Even when you use substitution, you are deceiving your opponent to think he's attacking you when you've really tricked him into attacking a log." Navi took a deep breath before continuing.

"Don't you see? All of these jutsu were taught to us at the academy. Even the academy taught us to deceive our foes. To ambush and outthink your opponent is the way of the ninja. Please understand I am no less honorable then you."

A smile parted his lips as he contemplated his next move. "Alright then, Akina".
Navi tensed his body and focused his chakra in preparation to attack. "I will show you I don't need a clan to be strong, defend yourself!" Navi leapt into the air at her and focused his chakra and power in his right hand. Let me prove to you that I have the fighting spirit of a true shinobi. Flying through the air at Akina, Navi came down with all the power he could muster in his chakra-infused right hand. He aimed for the top of her head with enough force to knock her senseless. If she was able to dodge he would lunge forward as soon as his feet touched the ground and aim a second blow at her stomach. Akina thought about what Navi was saying. How was she to convince him that she really
wasn’t as bad as he thought? “It may be
that I’ve been taught the ways of deception by many, but that doesn’t mean I
like doing the things I do. I would much
rather fight with people face to face, if you understand.” Her voice was
quiet. All she could do was hope that he
understood what she was saying. Grant
it, she did find some challenge in fighting with some integrity, but it was
something she would be willing to try doing for the time being.

The girl was surprised that Navi actually took what she said
to heart and began to attack her seriously.
She watched the boy’s movements carefully before she jumped back a
little and barely missed his attack. As
he hit the ground gracefully, Akina was prepared for the blow to her stomach,
catching his wrist with hers. She
twisted her body just enough to slow his movement. As his hand touched her stomach, she
sidestepped quickly to the right and powered her hand with chakra before she
directed a similar blow to his stomach before switching her stance to one that
would allow her to move around more fluidly as she directed her attacks to his
pressure points on his shoulders. If she
was quick enough, Navi would be in something of a bind, but since she was being
a little more rigid than normal, the second attack should have been slightly
easier to avoid.

She switched her stance back to one meant for defense, but
it would also allow her to have a more fluid movement. Her hands were still glowing blue, but her
chakra flow was beginning to slow a little.
It didn’t really matter, though, since the girl knew giving up wasn’t an
option. Her eyes flickered with an
intense feeling. “I feel like I can
acknowledge you. Would you like to build
off of each other’s strengths and weaknesses?” It was a simple question, but
for the girl, it carried a lot of weight.
She was essentially asking the boy if after this they could be friends
and possibly sparring partners later.
Her body tensed slightly as she tried to anticipate the boy’s next move
as she tried to come up with a diagram of his weak areas and strong points as
she studied him carefully. Navi should have known a ninja of the Hyuga clan would be able to deflect such a predictable move. When she caught his wrist he lost all of his momentum and his attack was rendered useless. Fortunately he was prepared for her counter attack. He caught her wrist when she lunged back at him, stopping it just short of connecting with his stomach. Navi prepared to launch his next attack, but it was too late.

Akina had already switched stances way faster then Navi could react and had unleashed a flurry of attacks at his shoulders. He turned his body so should could only land attacks on his left side. As a result, his left arm went limp and he staggered backwards. She's fast, but at least she didn't block my chakra points. When Navi looked up she had gracefully slid into a defensive position.

“I feel like I can acknowledge you. Would you like to build off of each other’s strengths and weaknesses?” Navi still clutched his left arm and tried to regain feeling in it. "I would be honored to" giving Akina a slight bow, "but I'm still working on figuring out your weaknesses" Navi said half-jokingly.

She was studying him carefully from a defensive position. His left arm still throbbed and he clutched it with his right hand. I won't give up, I don't need arms to keep fighting. Navi jumped forward with a flying kick. If it landed she would be knocked backward with a small force, if she dodged it he prepared to land next to her and slide into a crouch for a low sweeping kick, followed by a flurry of weak but fast kicks with his other leg. Akina watched in horror as her attacks hit Navi’s
shoulders. She grimaced a little bit as
she realized that she had successfully hit his pressure points and thankfully
not his chakra points. She gritted her
teeth tightly as she realized that Navi was not quite ready to give up just yet. She realized that he was very good at kicking
with his feet and was caught off guard.
She moved and avoided being hit in the jaw, but the impact to her side
still sent her reeling backwards by a little bit. She grimaced as a fiery pain entered her side,
and she realized that her side would be fairly well bruised.

There was a smile on her face as she switched her stance to
a more substantial one for not being knocked back so easily. Her body was closer to the ground, and she
was now more prepared to deal with attacks that would come from her opponent’s
feet. “I’m glad you accept.” Her voice
was still confident, but her eyes lingered uneasily on Navi’s legs. It would take her a few hits and misses to
see just how well his foot work could withstand her attacks. She began striking
at Navi’s thighs and was prepared to block with her feet if necessary, though
that was one of her areas that needed a lot of work. She moved back as she finished her attack and
waited, bouncing back and forth on her legs slightly.

Akina was not really ready to unleash any of her secrets to
the boy, not when she was unaware of how well he may be able to attack her in
this new stance. It was a good thing
that she had found someone who might be able to help her learn some new
movements to add to her training regimen, but she needed to find a way through
this new trial first. If he comes at me again, I will try to flow
like the grass in the wind, and if that doesn’t work, then I will try, and
probably fail, to use force against him.
This is going to be a very interesting day. Very interesting indeed.

There was an easy smile on her face as she nodded her head
carefully. There was no reason to give
Navi the impression that she was going to give in either. There was a breeze that blew through the
grass and the trees.

The dynamic of the entire fight had changed. Akina wouldn't underestimate him again, she was fully invested in the fight. He handed landed his first hit and had bruised her side. As she reeled back Navi watched carefully. Akina had switched stances again, this time it was even more focused on defense and footwork. She would not be knocked down easily. Navi formulated a new strategy, to counter her new style he would need to focus on dealing damage to her upper body.

"I'm glad you accept" she said, her gaze never leaving his legs. She was serious and didn't bother returning his bow. It was good she was focused but if Navi was to be a good training partner he would need to fight her hard enough to force her to unearth new techniques. He needed to beat her into a last resort position to discover her true strength. Navi smiled broadly as the wind blew through his hair. Of course, that would be her goal for him too.

Akina began striking quickly at his thighs, Navi was poor at Taijutsu but had no trouble performing the footwork necessary to dodge her attacks. One of her final jabs had glanced his thigh and he winced, but fortunately she had missed his pressure point. She jumped back immediately, bounding between legs and remaining vigilant. Navi noticed that although her stance was solid, her footwork was poor. If he could get her to change stances, he could exploit that weakness.

Navi charged forward, aiming his kicks high for her head and neck, but without Akina even trying she had dodged them. Each kick he shot missed as Akina would effortlessly move to avoid them like grass flowing in the wind. Her stance had prepared her well for each of his attacks. Navi aimed at her neck with a last powerful high kick out of desperation. He could only hope his attack connected because he was thrown off balance and completely vulnerable.

Don't underestimate me Akina, use whatever advantage you have. This way I can train to be ready for it against our real foes. Akina was surprised at how well she was able to move out of
the way of Navi’s attacks. She noticed
that he had begun to attack at her feet.
So, it didn’t take you very
long. I guess I should be happy, since
that means you aren’t entirely dull. She smiled gently, even in the heat of
battle, and she debated on how to make a good attack, since the boy was now off
balance. Her stance shifted once again
and she dug her foot down into the grass and forced most of her momentum and
body into one motion. She drove forward,
forcing the dwindling glow of her chakra back to life as she struck a major
blow at the boy’s thigh that was coming in for her neck. She had shifted her body, putting her within
a hair’s breadth of his leg, and she noted that he was now off balance because
of his desperate movement.

She diverted the chakra from her whole hand into her fore
and middle fingers on both hands. She
began to move around the boy and attack his other leg, hoping to cause him to
continue his motion down toward the ground.
She had poked there twice and moved rapidly to the boy’s kidneys, which
she had poked at ruthlessly. From there,
she quickly moved up to his chest, being careful to not turn off his chakra
points. Finally, the girl moved to his
other side and repeated the process. The
only difference that was present was the fact that she had also aimed for the
pressure point in his back on that side.
As she stopped, she bowed to him respectfully, before taking yet another
stance. Her eyes glowed with a cool
determination, and she was ready for the outcome of her actions.

She noticed her own sweat for a moment, as it beaded over
her brow, and she found a sigh escape from her lips suddenly. The sigh mimicked the gentle breeze in the
trees, who seemed to be sighing over the thought of two children fighting so
young. Akina was not sure what she was
going to do if Navi had the time to use a substitution jutsu. Her muscles were beginning to ache a little,
and she was finally starting to feel some fatigue, but she also refused to quit
unless Navi was the one who backed down first.

Navi cried out in pain as Akina's powerful blow struck his thigh. He staggered back and helplessly attempted to lift his arms in defense, but there was still no feeling in his left arm. She poked at his other leg, until his legs crumbled underneath him. As he fell towards the ground, Navi grabbed a hand full of dirt with his right hand and flung it at Akina's eyes in an attempt to blind her temporarily*. He had to hope his attack was at least effective enough that she had to close her eyes for a second.

It wouldn't stop her attack though, Akina ruthlessly attacked points on his kidneys, chest, and other key points of his body. Although she wasn't targeting chakra points, her attack would be deadly and accurate. All of this happened while Navi was in mid air, falling towards the ground. Akina backed away and slipped into another stance as Navi hit the ground hard. He couldn't move his body and lay helpless on the ground. A glazed look filled his eyes as he desperately tried to stand up and fell over on his stomach, coughing up blood. She may have struck harder then intended, but the speed of her attack was too much for his body to handle.
Akina had been merciless.

When Akina looked up from her bow she would see him lying there. "Akina..." Navi said through a spurt of blood that erupted from his mouth. She was a better partner then Navi could have ever dreamed. Every bit as powerful and graceful as the Hyuga clan claimed. He needed to show her he was special too. Navi took a deep breath and groaned through gritted teeth. "Remember what I told you?"

Akina rose from her bow and noticed that Navi was lying flat
on the ground. He looked like he was in
pain, and when he spoke, blood sputtered out of his mouth. Her silvery eyes widened, and her hands
covered her mouth. “I didn’t mean to
hurt you too bad, Navi.” She walked over to him quickly, hoping that she could
do something to be able to help him. As
she knelt down next to him, she quickly took his pulse as she listened to him
speak. She looked at him in the eyes and
nodded. “I remember what you said, but I’m
sure that you need help right now. You
may be bleeding internally, and if you are, I would like to see that you get
all the aid you need.” Her voice was calm, but her emotions were internally
unstable. I need to get him to a hospital, probably fast…I wonder if he’s really
well enough to stand… Her teeth sank into her lip softly, but if she
pressed much harder, her lip would start to bleed. Her hand started to shake a little as she
thought about what to do. “Are you well
enough to stand, Navi?” Her voice was quiet.

She sat down on the grass waiting for Navi to make his
decision. Her silvery eyes began to take
in the surroundings slowly as she noticed the dull ache in her head returning
from the time she had tried to use Byakugan.
Some more tiredness seemed to appear out of nowhere, as she realized
that the adrenaline that had been pulsing quickly through her body was slowing
down and things were returning to normal somewhat. Normal until she made the decision to run him
to the hospital and make sure he was properly cared for. There was something about this situation that
reminded her about her training session with Seth. She sighed at the thought that her second training
session might be ending in a similar way.
It was rather ironic, but she had hope that Navi would at least have a
little fight left in him.

The wind ruffled the girl’s hair playfully, and she was able
to watch the clouds move across the sky slowly.
Sighing, she stood to her feet and bowed to the fallen boy deeply. “I’m very sorry, fellow brother of
Konoha. I did not mean to harm you that
badly in my pursuit of the inheritance that is given to all who are born in
this village—the Will of Fire.” Her voice was formal and very respectful and
apologetic.

Navi refused to be taken to a hospital. "I won't be counted out just yet" he said through heavy panting.

"I remember what you said, but I’m sure that you need help right now. You may be bleeding internally, and if you are, I would like to see that you get all the aid you need.” Her voice sounded calm but her mind was racing.

Navi gritted his teeth as he spoke "No Akina... I told you to ambush and outthink you opponent...", then all of the pain vanished from his voice. "Is the way of the ninja". Navi burst into a cloud of smoke and was replaced with a log, as she may have suspected earlier, it was a substitution jutsu.

A ninja must be able to see through deception, for even if you refuse to use it, it will most certainly be used against you by our enemies. Akina must have been contemplating something because she seemed distracted. Now was the time to strike. Navi appeared behind Akina and whirled around, aiming a spinning backfist at the back of her head. If he missed he would press his attack with two powerful kicks to the center of her body.

"I threw dirt in your eyes earlier to distract you so you wouldn't see me performing the substitution. All of the attacks you landed after that was just wasted chakra." Navi still wasn't in good shape, his left arm was still out of commission and the strikes he took to the thigh before performing the substitution made him wince in pain. Still, Akina wouldn't be much better off either. She had to be worn out and low on chakra after that display. Both of them were getting exhausted and he wasn't sure how much longer this fight could last.

The wind blew over the field and chilled his body. His eyes studied Akina with a determination he hadn't felt before. You're skillful and talented Akina, I hope I have proven that I have the skill to fight at your side. Akina’s silvery eyes widened as she realized she had been
duped. Ah, so he can play by my own game, at least, when I feel like playing
the game… A slight smirk was on her lips as she turned and watched him
coming at her with a spinning fist. Her
muscles were worn, and there was no point in wasting what little chakra she had
on another attack. The girl ducked under
the spinning motion, but she was a little slow.
Suffering from the pain from bring grazed on the head, her body twisted
to the right. Right now. If I strike right
now, there may be a chance I can win this… Her left hand jabbed into Navi’s
kidney, while her right hand jabbed quickly into his right shoulder and the
pressure point on his back. She finished
this combo with a flick of her wrist to the back of his head.

Akina’s body turned to face Navi. Her movements had slowed by now, and her
breaths came in and out laboriously. Her
legs were shaking, and her head was pounding mercilessly. Her body started to sway back and forth
heavily. There would not be much more to
this fight, and if she failed with her attacks, then she may very well be the
one losing this spar. Her silvery eyes
steeled, and she gritted her teeth. She
still was not giving up on this fight until it was over for sure, even if it
meant she was the one who would be losing. It
isn’t about winning or losing though, it is about getting stronger through each
other… There was still a smirk on her face as she watched the orange orb
that was the sun slip under the tree lines, causing the light to be split up
into different sections that shone out in gold rays. The sight was very beautiful, but it was also
a reminder that she would eventually have to go back to the Hyuga clan’s
section of the village. Such a thought
made her shudder and grimace. Her aunt
worried about her when she got sent to the hospital the last time and almost
forbade her from training with ninja who weren’t Hyuga. She turned to face Navi again before she
smiled and bowed politely. “It’s getting
late, so we should probably be getting back to wherever it is we call home. If you would like somewhere nice to stay, I’m
sure my aunt and uncle wouldn’t mind not seeing me in the hospital because of
training.” Her voice was cheerful and polite.

In the rules about sparring I thought it said to combine your words and then divide by 400, instead of the regular 200.
