You Rang?

Time’s were changing.

The world was growing colder. Though much of the reason as to why was unknown, the shift of it’s weight could be felt in such a deep amount of magnitude. Things had felt off to say the least. More off than most days. It was as if Hiroki Shimada had lost someone, but didn’t have knowledge confirming it. They often said, whenever someone you shared a close bond with; friend or family, and they died, that other person could feel it. And for some reason or another, that feeling was there. Nagging and gnawing away at the pit in the bottom of his stomach. With these internalized feelings, the world seemed to mimic it externally. Days were still long, even though Spring was upon them. Skies were more grey and overcast.

But, that was life. Whether he’d want to or not, life would keep moving on forward without Roki; so it was best to move with it’s currents instead of against the grain.

On this particular day, the current had taken him up the mountainside towards the Raikage’s Chambers. An audience had been requested by the Lord 12th, and a rather urgent one at that. Something about undertaking the gauntlet in Warmongers, but the context of it would also dictate that there would be more words spoken than just that. Though, the Chunin had just merely inferred this as the possibility of the Kage wanting some seals before going about this task. Due to the particular nature of this meeting, the Senju deemed it best to skip the wait downstairs. Upon arriving at the building, he’d jump up the side, using his Raiju’s Stride if needed, to land atop the balcony outside the Ichi’s office.

He who passes the sentence should swing the sword. It was a thought occupying Ichigo's mind, one that came to reality the day he took Saturn's hand. A new responsibility, his burden to bear. Such would be the fate of the Raikage, something he soon came to realize. Taking a moment to collect his thoughts the Drunken Storm turned around, walking towards the balcony and looking over the village he cherished so much. Windows open, a breath of fresh air making its way inside his chambers. Perhaps the gentle breeze would be exactly what he needed to rid himself of the same things that kept him busy. 

Standing there facing the outside, arms crossed over one another, Ichigo started to control his breathing, in and out. His heart would beat at a steady pace, almost to the point of becoming one with body and mind. The Raikage's senses were always activated, a habit he made his own after an attempt was made against his life, never allowing himself to drop his guard as he still remembered the day an assassin tried to get rid of the man who would eventually become Raikage. It was precisely said vigilance that enabled him to pick up on the presence of a visitor the moment they came within twenty meters of the Drunken Storm.

Anticipating the arrival of the one he had been expecting, Ichigo made room on the balcony while maintaining his comfortable and relaxing stance. "Join me" the Kage greeted and invited the Shimada as soon as the latter made his way up, curious about the young man's latest development.

Casting his baby blue eyes towards the sky, their cold and battle hardened gaze would catch a mere momentary glimpse of the man with whom he was meeting standing there up on the balcony. Upon landing up there to the Kage’s right hand side, the sound of the wooden tabi clacking against the wooden boards beneath them, Hiroki would nod. ”Lord 12th.” And the posture on the teen would remain firm upon saying so. Formal, but being done still with the inklings of familiarity etched into it. Not too relaxed, yet not too strict in its ways. The flowing black kimono which was being worn would ruffle and sway with the gentle breeze that moved past, the zephyrous motions spiraling around the black and white silk. Embroidered in the back was a design of a shimmering red dragon, alluding to the ‘dragon’ in which he slaid about a year ago.

And he’d walk with Ichigo to wherever he would take this meeting to.

”Let us begin immediately, shall we? I take it this is no ordinary house call by the way, but we can talk while I place the seals. I have a few in mind, one for communications, one to defend against friendly fire, and I can also place an absorption seal on you, if you’d wish, Lord Raikage.” And whatever he was about to respond with, the Dragon Slayer would listen intently while placing a Unity Seal and Telepathy Seal wherever he had directed them to be placed; a Spellbinding Seal would be added to if deemed necessary, at the request of Ichi of course.

Hiroki would also use this time to redo some of the seals upon himself, but not all of them. Nullifying the Seal of Protection, Seal of Absorption, and lastly Seal of Redirection, after the seals on Ichi had been placed and linked to the proper ones on the Chunin sealer, he would then go about placing some others on himself.  Primarily one; the Mark of Kayne. A technique based on through the generations of the Seventh Sages. It was one which could protect and defend against practically everything. More handseals would be formed then needed for it, also throwing in a technique to amplify that of the seal that was being placed. And if in the off chance, the Drunken Lord didn’t want a Spellbinding, then Roki would place that seal on himself as well. This was all being done while the black and red haired lad was in his Pure Sage Mode, while it wouldn’t have an effect for the seals placed on his superior, it was practically needed for the Mark of Kayne’s placement.

He allowed Hiroki to showcase his ability when it came to the art of Fuinjutsu while at the same time informing him of their upcoming trip. "Good, we might need them where we're going". Once the seals were applied on both Kumogakure shinobi, Ichigo prepared for the journey to come. "Meet me at the gates as soon as you're ready, we're leaving immediately". With no time to waste the Raikage put on his armor and grabbed both his Leviathan Axe as well as his trusty greatsword Dainsleif.

While Roki was left partially shocked with what was said by Lord Ichigo, he didn't let this emotion get conveyed visually. Simply saying "Very well then." Lightly smirking, for this was sure to mean; with the comings of spring, the sun would shine down on Kumo once again. Big things were about to happen, the Dragon Slayer was sure of that much.
