Maybe, in another life, that was a hobby she could have gotten into. Hell, maybe even made a career out of it. That would have been nice, but in this life, in the only one that mattered, she had no real options. Still, the kind of upbringing she had received had given her a unique proclivity for working with a limit set of tools, to the point where she thrived in high pressure situations that forced her to think and improvise. It made doing this kind of work very easy, while at the same time making normal life harder, but it was a trade-off she was willing to make a hundred times over.
She entered stealth and began staking out the palace. As far as she could tell, nobody was detecting her here, which was good. There were plenty of places to leave small objects, like paper bombs, but the layout of the buildings, the palace in particular, was complex. It took her a couple of passes through to get the place memorized, and still, she got the feeling that she was missing something. Buildings like these always held some handy secrets, places to protect the royals and councilmen from hostiles like her. Then again, she wasn't here to kill people, at least not yet. There were things to discover, and things to pour through. She needed information first. Her stealth technique would last for a while yet, so she took herself to the mailroom. Whatever room contained documents would be locked up tight, so she would start here instead.
