The Restaurant

Yohei now pounded what the next meal would be as he eyed himself the scene. Now it clearly made sense why he was doing that. The white haired samurai had other plans as he needed to make a statement. he wasn't going to lose his status to any other soldiers. he had to make sure he was on top of his games meaning nothing would be on top of him. yohei had unlocked new pair of eyes as he would be seen grateful for the option gifted by his lord seventh. he felt more powerful since his grimma days.
Seven minutes had passed as he was lost in thoughts while stirring the sauce, and the spaghetti had reached a boiling point. He kept a porcelain cup filled with pasta water, carefully holding the kettle over it with his mittens. The rest he dropped at the cooking strainer that was inside the faucet.
Another trick was keeping a cup of pasta water to drop into the sauce that had now molded into a thick pasta. He seasoned the drained pasta with salt, dropped them in the heating pan with the tomato sauce, and emptied the porcelain cup of pasta water. A mixture of different smells took flight that would make any man's stomach growl. They would have their fill with a plate or two. But Yohei was a more prominent man than most. And the one thing he liked more than cooking and fighting was eating food.
The heating pan had four portions, leading to Yohei's stomach within the next hour. But not before he sprinkled them with grated cheese. He felt the food rest for about three minutes before doing so and placing the large bowl on his cooking bench.
But now it was the time to eat. He took a black fork and dug in. The taste of tomato, onion, and pasta exploded inside his mouth. He had outdone himself today. Then again, that was something he always thought of every time he took a bite from his freshly cooked meals.
"One day I might open my restaurant." He thought with a mouth full of pasta. "When I'm old and tired and can't fight anymore. But what will happen if people won't show up. If nobody wants to eat the food prepared from the hands of an old samurai." The thought, the feeling of disappointment and self doubt scared him more than any battle he had took part in. Perhaps a pipe dream, to be let go - and only something practiced in his spare time. Then again, perhaps not.
