Sand Removal

The sun was high in the sky, creating long shadows and scorching down on Shinji, it would be unbearable if it was not for the cool sea breeze that accompanied the island air. Shinji sat on top of the shop his family operated, he was due to head into the village and collect his next mission, he was going to be doing solo missions for a while, due to his jonin leader off on a different mission. Shinji was wearing his usual buttoned-up checkered shirt, it was buttoned only three-quarters of the way up, the sleeves rolled up to just below his elbows. Shinji wore long shorts that covered to just below his knees until they met the wrappings that covered his legs and feet, over the top of his wrappings were the standard-issue shinobi sandals. Shinji wore his Kirigakure village headband strapped tightly around his forehead, his hair flowing over the back of it.

Shinji took the short trip to reach the village gates, entering through them he headed towards the admin building and collect his mission, it was an E-rank mission where he had to help the local business's clear the beach sand out of their entranceways. Ironically he had just completed that very chore this morning in his own family's business. Shinji went into the local supply warehouse and collected a brush and a shovel and then headed off to the local shop to start his task. Shinji made his way down to the seafront of this particular island and started to clear up the road along his assigned route, after about an hour he had completed one sweep of the road. As he returned up the road to start on the business entrances, he noticed that where he had cleared was already started to fill up with sand again, but of course, it would, it was a never-ending task. 

Shinji started to sweep in the entrances of the four business along the strip he was assigned to, he realized after he had finished the third one that he had done this in the wrong order since he was sweeping the sand out onto the path he had already swept "Damn it", he cursed himself for his inability to think more than the step ahead. Shinji finished the fourth shop and then started again at the end of the street, competing for the second time the entire street. As he finished the sweeping the owner of one of the stores came out and handed Shinji an ice lolly, he thanked them energetically and went to sit on the edge of the walkway looking out over the beach and the surrounding ocean. After a few minutes of looking out onto the ocean Shinji jumped up and returned his tools to the mission supply warehouse he had collected them from and then made his way back to the family farm, he was going to do some more training, he was trying to increase his earth ninjutsu knowledge, as well as the number of jutsu he held.
