A chance at friendship? Must start with pain.

Taichi found himself wandering the shores of the gorgeous island of Fang when the flashbacks began forcing their way into his mind. Taichi tried to keep himself together, but the screams began ringing in his ears. He fell to his knees covering his ears, trying to yell to drown out the screaming, but it was futile. He checked to see if there was anyone around, quickly for his head was beginning to pound. He didn't see anyone, but he certainly could have missed those better at hiding themselves. He whipped his backpack around and set it on the ground. 

The screaming began getting louder and louder, becoming more vivid as they continued. Taichi struggled to open his backpack and grab his whip, but when he finally did, he threw off his shirt. His scars that covered almost the entirety of his back now exposed. He grabbed a small cut of leather and placed it in his mouth, he didn't want to attract any attention with any yelling that may slip through his mouth. He gripped the leather whip tight and began swinging it over his shoulders, cracking the whip across his back, opening up his old wounds, and creating new ones to match. Taichi bit down onto the leather, the pain was incredible, it was still not enough for the flashbacks to go away. He gripped onto the handle as tight as he could, and he whipped his back harder and harder, the blood beginning to run down his back and seeping into the soft sand below him.

When Taichi was finally done, he stood up and used his medical ninjutsu to stop the bleeding and heal up his body. He packed all of his things into his backpack and he began walking along the shores once again. Enjoying the fleeting peace that he was able to enjoy for a few moments. When he finally got tired of walking, he decided to sit on the shore and watched the sun as it began to set.
