A Letter of Thanks

It wasn’t long after his title had been official that young Max would find himself penning letters to the various other kages. Kumogakure had a new leader yet again, and while some might not feel it was needed to announce to the other villages the news Max wanted to ensure their information was current and up to date. He wanted no confusion as to whom the various village leaders needed to address their concerns to in regards to Kumogakure.
“Hogokage Valen,
I appreciate the hospitality you had shown me in my brief stay in your village. It would have been longer, but my mother’s passing only revealed to me more clearly what I needed to do. There is no more confusion as to what person holds the title of Raikage, for it is I, Maximillian Yamaguchi.
I know that we are not allies, but know that I do not seek to label you as enemies either. I hope to mend whatever cracks might have formed in our two village’s relationship, so as to honor my mother’s memory and sacrifices.
Attached are some flower seeds native to Kumogakure. Could you be so kind as to plant them in the garden where my mother’s grave is? She was and always will be the Flower of Kumo, despite her deep love for Hoshigakure. Know that I will be erecting a statue to honor Lady Akihana here in Kumo. I wish for her to be a beacon of hope in both of our lands, even in her passing.
The messenger bird would take the letter, seeds untainted my Mortarion’s plague attached in a small pouch on its leg along with the letter. In no time the bird would be off and making its way for Hoshigakure.
