Praise the Sun! [Hato, NK] Empty Praise the Sun! [Hato, NK]

Thu Aug 09, 2018 1:04 pm
The day was still young when Kumogakure no Sato's newest genin yawned hugely. She startled awake, falling off the park bench as she did so. She brought her hand to the side of her head, rubbing a sore spot that had hit the ground. Did she fall asleep outside again? Tsukuyomi looked up, seeing a cloudless sky and a foggy environment. ...Yeah, she definitely did. She groaned to herself, standing up slowly as she did so. Judging by the brightness of the sky, it was probably around ten or eleven- an hour or two before noon, anyways. She had nothing better to do than wander around, so she supposed she might as well try and learn something. She plopped back down on the bench, this time sitting upright, before opening a large gray backpack filled with scrolls that she had, ahem, borrowed from her parents. She rummaged around in her bag, pushing aside the jutsu for Ephemeral, Temple of Nirvana, and a few others that she didn't manage to glimpse. No, her target was something much simpler- genjutsu release. After a few minutes of searching, she pulled out the scroll from the bottom of the backpack. She held her prize in the air, unfurling the item as she did so. It wasn't particularly wide, but it was a few inches long. It wasn't that complicated for a genjutsu, but compared to other specialties which weren't directly manipulating the brain, it could arguably be more arduous in labor. Placing the item in her lap, she began to read.

Genjutsu is the art of manipulating chakra found in the victim's brain. Through weaving your chakra cleverly, it is possible to craft complex illusions. Hard to learn and even more difficult to master, practitioners of such an art are capable of providing the split second advantage necessary to win on the battlefield. In order to dispel genjutsu, however, the process is relatively simple- interrupt the flow of chakra in your body. This can be done through a sudden surge of chakra or by halting your flow entirely. The most effective, however, is to combine the two methods. Slow your chakra flow before sending a sudden surge through your Tenketsu, and you'll find that the only thing keeping you locked inside of a genjutsu will be your own lack of chakra or your own lack of ability to detect illusions. You can tell if you use the technique correctly, as your chakra coils will sting slightly as the chakra rushes back through your system. Don't worry, as this isn't harmful at all. Novice users of this technique will have an easier time focusing their chakra to do such a thing by forming the ram hand seal- but this is just a handicap if you're facing someone who can paralyze you with their illusions. It is imperative to master this technique as quickly as possible, especially if you're a practitioner of genjutsu, in order to ensure that you don't fall victim to illusions of the enemy.

She furled up the scroll and placed it back in her bag, deciding that she had a pretty good idea of what to do next. She was supposed to use the Ram seal to slow her chakra, and then start it up again. That didn't sound so hard. She stretched her arms and back before meditating in on herself, twisting her fingers awkwardly into the necessary hand seal in order to test her ability to use the genjutsu release technique. She tried to focus her chakra into pulsing with the rhythm of her heart. Next, she started taking deep, meditative breaths. She could practically feel the lethargy as she began to breathe slower... and slower... and slower... Eventually, her chakra was moving at the speed of molasses. That was good, right? She just needed to surge it. She decided to hold the slow pace for a few moments to get familiar with the strange feeling before attempting to speed up once again. Tsukuyomi breathed in, breathed out, and forced her chakra forwards. A sharp sting seemed to penetrate every inch of her body- similar to what was described in the scroll, she was willing to assume, but something told her it was too sharp. Was she pressing too hard on this? She figured she was. Back to the drawing board, she supposed. She tried slowing her chakra, surging it again, only to come back to the same results. Where did she go wrong? She sighed to herself, packing up her scrolls and deciding to take a walk to clear her mind.

She wandered alley after street after alley, passing by many Virulent Civilians as she did so, a few regular citizens, and a handful of ninja who she supposed were either finished with their missions or were on a patrol of some sort. She yawned to herself, approaching a handful of market stalls as she did so. What to buy... What to buy... Eventually, she ended up walking away with a stick of dango and a lighter pocket, but it was worth it. The sweet treat stuck between her teeth and made her salivate as she proceeded to chow down, before she was left with naught but an empty stick. She scratched her head. What was she supposed to do now? Maybe heading to the training grounds would help. Without another word, she began to pace around the streets again, taking more than one wrong turns in an attempt to find her destination. After asking an older shinobi for directions, who promptly rolled his eyes at her, she found herself en route. It took around ten minutes at the pace she was going, but she eventually arrived. It was empty save for herself, which should be good for concentration, supposedly, but just made her feel a little lonely. She sighed to herself, plopping the bag on the ground next to a fence before going through some stretches. Genjutsu sucked. And yet, she wouldn't choose to have any other specialty.

Praise the Sun! [Hato, NK] Empty Re: Praise the Sun! [Hato, NK]

Thu Aug 09, 2018 11:13 pm
The day started like any other, Hato had woken up early or some training. She had woken up super early too, like 5:00 am training. Today she was wearing her combat pants, white crop top and her infamous combat heels. After putting her hair into a pony tail, she headed out. The morning was foggy, but still nice out to be training. Although this new training retinue was useful, it was also not agreeing with her party life. It was a large price to pay for Hato not being in a social setting, but she needed the training for the future of her an her ambitions.

Upon heading to the training ground, Hato spotted a girl laying her body in a very uncomfortable manner across a park bench. She looked to be younger than Hato, but looks could be deceiving. Hato knew that all too well. Her height didn't show much of her age though, being almost a half foot shorter than Hato herself. She also noticed the kumo amour that was common for shinobi of her village. But over all that, the thing Hato noticed right away was her hair, it was a nice bleach white, which even Hato couldn't pull off. Homeless shinobi? that isn't that common. Maybe she's just a fool who wanted to catch the cold. After analyzing the child, she continued to walk towards the training grounds.

Hato's speed and strength continued to grow with her constant training. But she wasn't planning on focusing on that the whole training period. What she really wanted to work on was her chakra after all, it was one of the most developed practice over these past few months. It was needed after all for being a medical ninja. Today it was about chakra sensory. So after hitting and kicking stone in the fields, she fell into a criss-cross position. She relaxed her muscles and her chakra do all the work. It took awhile for her charka waves that she cased to actually pick up some signatures. This was either due to the fact that shinobi were just starting to walk around or it was the fact that she had finally gotten it down. It was a relief either way because she had been working way to damn hard to have to spend all day on it. It wasn't complete, and it was only able to sense stronger signatures in the area but it was progress. It had been almost 6 hours since she had started, and how she was starting to get hungry. So that concluded her morning training.

The market was booming. The village was actually awake at this time. Hato found herself buying curry in a to-go box. After exchanging ryo for the box, She saw a man talking to the same girl as she saw on the park bench. Though she didn't get time to see or say anything because the two had split their ways. As Hato walked passed the man, she gave him a wink and blown kiss, a common thing she would do for fun. He blushed and quickly walked past. Hato smirked and continued on her way.

Hato took a less busy route home so she could eat at home. The noise of the market became a lot more distant, allowing for more clear thoughts. Men are so easy to play with. I should head down to the bar again today. It's supposed to be extra drunk today. Hato smirked at the thought. She loved to the game of cat and mouse with men like that. She'd play mouse and the "cats" would do anything to catch their prize, even to the risk of their own free wills. Suddenly, her thoughts were interrupted with the site of someone that she didn't think she would see again. It was that same girl on the park bench, she was sitting alone. Hato's curiosity got the better of her and she approached the young girl. "Aren't you the one who was sleeping on the park bench." Hato asked ignorantly. She knew that it was her, she just needed a conservation starter.

Praise the Sun! [Hato, NK] Empty Re: Praise the Sun! [Hato, NK]

No response to Hato. Wow, very disrespectful. Hato sighed and left their site. "Wow, how incredibly rude." Hato said in a huff and left the girl in the dust to continue her training. Little did she know that she was going to wind up dead in a few days. It was a sad thought for sure but everyone dies, some people deserve to die more than others. Hato's early life had just been death so the death of the girl she barley knew was nothing to her. She was stone cold heartless. Maybe that's what would make her such a threat in the future. Death was the undeniable fuel of life for everything and everyone, it just takes some people a hard slap in the face to realize it.
