Kozogami woke up to the sound of the lady across the street singing something about counting her money while on a public transportation vehicle headed to some kind of party. Her voice was terrible. Even Kozogami, who was no warbler himself, could do better than that.

And everyone who knows us knows... we're fine with this, we didn't come for money...?

The song went something like that. Goodness knows he didn't want to hang around to hear here sing the rest, so he got dressed, wearing his beige jacket and the T-shirt depicting a frog riding gleefully on a unicycle. He jogged out the door and into the bright late-morning sunlight. A glorious day, to be sure, but hadn't he overslept a little? Well, whatever. He had plenty of daylight left.

Finding himself in a training ground with a single flagpole. Metal, and polished so that he could see his distorted reflection. Did it represent the rottenness and evil in him? If he climbed up the flagpole to see, what would he find? The boy resisted the temptation to do something stupid, and disregarding the absence of a flag at the top, began to go through his stretches. He'd gained access to the wood release recently, and was debating what to do with it. Well, best to start with the simple first. An offensive technique wouldn't be a bad thing, and could be a stepping stone to something bigger.

He'd done a little bit of research already and knew what he was going to start with, too. The cutting technique was easy enough, but he hadn't had much practice to work with so far, so he wanted to think this through instead of just hopping into it like a total idiot. Finishing his stretches, he looked around to see a raging magazine salesman and...

... a little girl? No, not a little girl. Well, yes a little girl, but not a young girl. Little woman? Little woman.

Shiroi was find it harder and harder to ignore the man following her. Ever since he found out she was not a little girl (about ten minutes ago as she was explaining to a shop owner), the man had been trying to sell a 'pamphlet' to her. He said it had "all the latest platform shoes".

Shiroi had decided to pretend he was not there and keep walking. That... had not worked. Somehow. He just kept following. Kept practically screaming in her ear.

Shiroi decided enough was enough. She reached under the back of her shirt and pulled out one half of her BoKali. Covertly, of course. Enough so that the random man would not notice it, at least, due to the way he was walking in relation to her. With one swift move (not insanely fast, only something just above "average person" speed), she whipped it at his ankles. The man was caught by surprise, and thrown off balance. He stumbled forwards a few steps before falling flat on his face. Well, not quite. He managed to catch himself, just barely preventing a rather nasty friction burn to the cheek.  While he was stumbling and falling, Shiroi hid the rod back under her shirt. It was large enough to not only hide it lengthwise, but also loose enough to hand off the back of her torso, and hide its width.

Shiroi would snicker before walking away from the man.

S-so cool! The boy took a step back in just a bit of shock and awe. It took him a good five seconds for him to stop gawking and process what had just happened. The thing was, although he'd clearly been harassing her, she'd just whipped out her weapon and clipped him with her best shot to the legs. Goddamn, that was kind of vicious... and was attacking a civilian in a village of skeptics a good idea in the first place? He knew that he certainly wouldn't have done it, but maybe she was of a high enough status to where she didn't need to care.

Either way, after doing a quick double-take, Kiichi stepped forward hesitantly.

"Uh... hi...?" He was scared of pretty girls, and starting conversations, but none of his friends were green. Odd, that. In a world of ninja magic and supernatural phenomena, most of the people he knew were on the boring normal side of things. Maybe it was a small sample size.

"How'd you do that? The moving-fast thingy." He also wanted to ask her how she was able to move around so well with that thing tucked under her clothing, but refrained from doing so.

"Me?" Shiroi questioned. "I mean, I can go fast because I worked hard to be able to. Not much more to it." It was a simple answer... and pretty fucking boring. "That... really wasn't all that fast either, to be perfectly blunt. I can go a lot faster, and I know people that are probably still faster than me."

Shiroi turned to see the man regaining his composure. He was looking behind him, likely to try and see what had caught his leg and caused him to trip.

"Best not speak of it 'til he's gone, though. Sound good?"
