Arriving in Kumo

Ayumu stumbled and breathed, endless roads and mountains were all he had seen throughout his journey. His hoodie was dirty and had been torn in several places. As he dragged his feet across the gravel road he saw something in the distance, his breathing stopped, was that Kumogakure? As he was now, Ayumu did not care whether it was were he had headed or not, he just wanted to rest. He followed the road until he came to a stop next to some huge gates. Relief flooded through him, he had arrived. All he needed was a drink and some food, his lips were parched and his stomach had been threatening to eat itself if it did not gain any sustenance.

As he tried to move towards the gates his vision began to fill with black spots. He felt light headed, he tried to shake it off, but to no avail. He fainted from exhaustion in a crumpled heap on the ground.

Inside a small guard tower, Komori absentmindedly tapped his fingers to the tune of an unspecified song that was stuck in his head. Guard duty was typically boring as all hell, as nothing usually happened aside from the moans and wails of the living corpses impaled on the pikes. They were not amusing to watch in the slightest, so whenever he was assigned this duty, he’d try his best to drown out the cries. However today, they seemed to fall silent. It took a moment for Komori to register this as they then seemed to cry out louder than he had ever heard before. Komori leaned over the railing as he noticed a young boy making his way to the gates. The living corpses were trying to get his attention for help but he did not seem to notice. Something was wrong. The now 17 year old chuunin used body flicker to move quickly to the ground as the approaching party fell to the ground in a heap. Komori ran over and picked the boy up as he carried him inside the gates to the hospital. Upon his waking up, the boy would find himself lying in a bed being monitored by Komori himself.
