Task:

Some how, some way, Kurisu, the previous kage, managed to consume the whole liquor reserve of the village after just resigning, apparently he had too much time on his hands. your job as a loyal could ninja is to retrieve the new shipment of alcoholic beverages from the main gates and transfer them over to the Raikage Office, orders directly from the new kage herself

Komon woke up early today, It was going to be the day of his first official mission. Him and his brother Komori where going to be escorting a shipment of booze from the front gate to the Raikage’s office. Sure, it was busy work, but he was still very excited. After springing out of bed, he got dressed into his standard gear and equipment and headed over to his brothers room with a pillow in hand. Opening the door he chucked the pillow at his brother’s face. “Wake up, dork, it’s time to go!” he shouted, then turned around and waited for his brother at the front of the apartment.

Kōmori, however, was not near as much of a morning person as his twin brother Kōmon was. Half awake, Kōmori confusedly sat up with his eyes blinking rapidly in an attempt to register the light shining in through his , only to be immediately hit in the face by the pillow that had been launched at him by the uglier twin. As the pillow slowly fell onto his lap, the only thing that could be seen was an annoyed, yet tired, look on his face. “Alright, already, I’m up,” he said as he staggered out of his bed and began to get dressed in his normal clothing. After strapping his weapon pouch to his leg, Kōmori grabbed his signature blue hoodie and headed out the door.

Komon had been waiting outside the door for about two minutes before his brother showed up. “About time” he said “Let’s go” and they headed down the street into the center of the hidden cloud. Komon was visibly excited for the mission, he was glad to get out of the house, and spending time with his brother wasn't bad either. Seemed like they had not hung out since before the academy.

“Huh, I’m surprised you didn’t get that sword of yours stuck in the doorframe,” Komori paused before he added, “Again,” and playfully punched Komon in his arm. The dynamic duo walked out of their residence and started down the road to reach the main gate, where the delivery was scheduled to be dropped off for pick up. After traversing the streets, they rounded a corner before joining the main road. The gate could be seen from atop the hill they were walking down. “So, Komon, you hear about how the old Raikage almost stopped alcoholism by drinking everything in the Hidden Cloud?”

Komon laughed at the statement, thinking it was a joke at first, but seeing the serious expression on his brother’s face, his laughter was cut short. “Wait…. Really?” Komon said kind of amazed. He did not think it was humanly possible to consume that much alcohol. “Guess that's the power of a raikage for you..” he said aloud. He could not help but notice how nice of a day it was to be doing a mission. There did not seem to be a cloud in the sky, which was weird considering the name of their village. A couple minutes passed by and he realized they had reached the front of the village. He could not help but be surprised. He had no idea his apartment was this close to the front gate, he'd never left the village after all. “Guess this is the spot,” he said to his brother as he looked at him for confirmation.

The clearly smarter brother mocked his brother. “What do you mean, ‘guess this is the spot’, Komon,” he said chuckling. “It’s the only massive gate for the village.” The twin brothers looked around for the cart that would contain the crates of alcoholic beverages that they would be escorting throughout the village. They waited. And waited. And waited. Until finally the red wagon came around the corner, driven by a single old man, accompanied by two burly looking men flanking either side. Upon their arrival, one of the brutes asked in a slightly , “What are you brats doing here? Where are the real shinobi coming to escort this cart?” Komori put on a confident face and pointed his thumb at his chest before stating, “We ARE the shinobi.”

Confirming his brother’s actions, Komon pointed at his official hidden cloud headband before exclaiming, “This means we're shinobi of the hidden cloud. We are more than capable of taking it from here, and have been assigned to do so,” he said, matching his brother’s confidence. He was not about to let some random men insult him. The two men reluctantly apologized to the brothers, grumbling as they did so, and handed the cart over to them. Now having the package they had came for the brothers decided the next logical step was to take it to the raikage's office. “Let's go Komori” He told his brother.

Even though this was a rather simple task, Komori couldn’t help but be nervous. This was going to be their first mission, and out of all the deliveries they could have done, they were going to be delivering the cargo to the Raikage, who had taken over two years before. The living conditions have improved under him as of late, due to his marriage, but the past two years had been extremely difficult. The boys knew how harsh he could be, which is why they were going to be on high alert the entire mission. The various roads and bridges connecting the various mountain peaks that made up the Village Hidden in the Clouds were more difficult to steer a wagon through than the pair originally anticipated.

They had been walking for about ten minutes and were beginning to think they were in the clear when they noticed a kid on the ground with a hurt ankle. Komon ran over to help him, asking him, “Hey, kid, are you hurt?” But as he was asking that, he spotted another child stealing beer from the cart. This kid was merely a distraction to keep him from looking behind him. He had not however taken into account that Komon had the byakugan which grants the user 360 degree vision. Komon not wanting to suffer the wrath of the Raikage for letting some of the alcohol be stolen by a mere child, instantly chased after the kids. But they had had a head start and were very far in front of him. Realizing that Komori was closer to the thief in range he screamed, “Komori, chase after him, I’ll stay with the cart to make sure this faker doesn't get away,” he said lifting the kid who was supposed to distract him in the air by the collar of his shirt. Komori started sprinting after the child before rounding a corner, out of sight. Komon activated Kieren No Jutsu, to send a minor jolt of electricity into him, simply to keep him from running away. The kid yelped in pain before Komon stooped down and told him, “Don’t be such a baby, This doesn’t hurt half as badly as a broken ankle would.”
