Art Thief [P]

They ain't stealing any more pieces of art while I'm here! Haruki would exclaim, patrolling the scene at a speed of 25, real simple on his rollerblades, but enough to look around and get things in full detail all while actually making progress. Nothing seems to be off so far, but that was only an illusion, and he was going to soon reveal the illusion for what it really was when he beat the art thief. It was not Genjutsu, but the thief probably wanted him to think that they were not there. Either that or they did not even know of his existence and were only trying to avoid the adults. However, it was the former explanation that made the Akari feel a bit more proud of himself, and so he would keep that answer. In doing so, he would travel around everywhere in the village, every corner, and he might take a bit to talk to some people if they called out to him. If not, he would just wave at them as he went on, some people sighing in relief that he was not out to prank anyone today. He was popular in that sense, being able to catch the villagers when they least expected it. There was a partner on the scene he heard, since they were both assigned the task, but he felt he could do it on his own, and so he would try.

Rae strutted down the streets of Sunagakure with the usual confident smirk plastered upon her rosy lips.  What made the red-head's outfit different today was the fact that she now wore her black Suna headband around the left sleeve of her long white coat. The change clearly seemed to be noticeable because several of her neighbors and fans had congratulated her on graduating when they saw it. Needless to say, Rae was beaming at the fact that she was now a genin and the best part about it was that she was already on her first mission. 

The orphan's crimson hues scanned around the village as she walked down the different alleyways and neighborhoods. It was obviously not an extremely difficult mission as it was her first one but the girl was clearly excited enough to help in just about anyway. She was supposed to find and capture a thief who apparently stole paintings from different stores and houses. Running a hand through her red locks she remembered that she was assigned a partner as well without being given his/her name. Rae was a bit annoyed as she was hoping that she could have the opportunity to prove herself by doing her first mission alone. Let's just get this over with. The girl though to herself as her eyes continued to scan through the perimeter for suspicious activity.

A sudden crash could be heard by the side as a rollerblader would turn his head to the side to see a running man from the inside of a small house. A portrait in his or her hands, only to disappear all of a sudden. A technique, none that he was able to identify either. He's on the move! Shoot! He would exclaim, clicking his rollerblades, looking around as he shifted his eyes to the golden color that many can sign him off as Akari, looking around to see a sudden Chakra flow moving. As fast as he could, he would press his wheels against the ground at 75 speed. His green hoodie flapping due to the violent amount of force, hair pressed against his face, and a light blue trail left behind him as he was searching for the target. They could have not gone too far... Except it seems they have, Haruki lost his target. However they got away, they most likely will try to use again. But now he was much more aware. Still however, the taste of defeat was far too bitter on his tongue.

Fortunately, as he would slow his speed down to a calming rate of 10 as he moved around, he would see the familiar face of the beautiful redhead that he had met the other day at the Academy. She seemed to just to be walking around, it was very likely that nothing had been seen in her eyes. Oh well, it gave him an excuse to put up a friendly chat. While she did have very elegant looks, Haruki never really understood the concepts of love or lust, no one really told him about it, nor was he able to think of such a way. While he was slowly maturing, he did not see the obvious appeal that was the redhead. Heyo Rae! Have you seen someone running by! I need to get him! ...Or her... Didn't get a good look at their face.

The crimson-eyed beauty's eyes narrowed at the fact that there had not been any sightings of the Art thief yet. Was she so far off the mark? Rae had never been one to let something she wanted slip from her grasp and right now all she wanted was to successfully capture the robber that was causing trouble around her village. Just as she was about to turn down towards another random alley her fiery eyes landed on a familiar face. A small smirk immediately painted itself over her face as he greeted her seemingly recognizing her as well. This was no other than the rollerblading prankster Haruki Akira. He was around her age but had graduated before her. He was cute, a bit immature for his age but that didn't seem like much of a problem as his boyish grin and golden eyes tended to make up for it. When the brown-haired male however brought up that he was chasing someone in order to "get him" she raised an amused eyebrow. No way. Could he be the person that she was partnering with? Her day was already getting more interesting. 

"Hello Haruki-kun, still as energetic as ever I see?" She greeted the fellow genin with a chuckle before focusing on her suspicions. " I haven't really seen anyone running off in any direction but say-" just as Rae was about to reply she felt her eyes snap to a direction of sudden movement. Someone had just very speedily entered a bar. Almost as if to hide from something...or someone. The Fire-user immediately retracted the question that she was going to ask Haruki and pointed at the bar in question mouthing the words "Quiet" and "Come". If her suspicious were right and he was her partner he shouldn't really have had all that much problems understanding the message. They might both be after the same person anyways. Rae took her Suna headband off and hid it in one of her white coat's pockets before motioning to Haruki to do the same. If the Art Thief was indeed inside this building then they'd have a better chance of catching them if he didn't know that those were indeed the people after him. As she entered the bar she quietly looked around it attempting to spot the man in question. Her eyes landed on a man in his mid-thirties with black hair tied up into  a short ponytail, in his hands he held a painting.

The mistake with the plan was telling Haruki to be quiet, and he could only do that for so much time before he ended up screwing up the plan. Hopefully, he would be able to shut his big mouth up long enough for him to get to the thief. So with the nod of the head, he would quietly follow her into the bar, where they did not seem to get caught yet, which was good for now. But there was more than what met the eye, the Akari was sure of that. So he would continue to see and scan the area with his light brown eyes. Still, nothing... Until one thing came to his eyes. A man and he had a ponytail. The fashion! It hurts! It burns! All the cringe! It was practically screaming at him. The ponytail was like some paper with a line on it, and Haruki was tempted to grab a Kunai and cut it off. But when he saw the painting, he was going to be quick to act. FOUND HIM! GET HIM! Haruki would exclaim, summoning two shadow clones by his sides. Rae might probably be pissed off with him, but at least she won't be able to punish him for now... Or maybe if she has a way to sense Chakra, she can sense which one is the real him, and then begin her barrage. But the Akari would quickly jump over one table, the clones splitting off to the sides as they all attempted to corner the man. Temporary Paralysis! One Haruki clone would exclaim, forcing him to stay in place as his power was not high enough to escape. The real one would tackle him from behind before pinning him to the ground, sitting on his back in victory. Got him!

Rae's eyes widened at the sudden movement of Haruki, but then again, it wasn't like she didn't predict that the energetic boy wont be able to keep quiet. Maybe this was exactly why he was such a good partner to work with he was predictable in the fact that he was unpredictable. His sudden movements and reactions would test Rae's own ability to work with any circumstance. As the golden-eyed male used clones and other types of Jutsu to capture the Art thief she noted that the ponytail-wearing man was just as surprised as she was. That's exactly what she meant when she though that he was good because of his unpredictability. A small smirk played upon her lips as Haruki pinned the enemy down successfully. "Nice job." The crimson-eyed female complemented before taking a rope out from one of her boots and tying the criminals' arms behind his back. She let her hand ruffle Haruki's hair affectionately as she complimented him on his work. "Always the speedy one aren't ya?"

 The beauty sat on the ground in front of the robber and shot him one of her hot smiles. "So, where is all of the other pieces of work you've stolen" She asked, making her voice go down dangerously low. If the people at the bar were disturbed by the fact that there were two teenagers in the place capturing a criminal, they didn't dare say anything after the looks that Rae shot him. The female took a kunai out from one of the pockets inside her long white coat and dug it right into the wooden floor of the building, straight in front of the pinned-down male's face.  "In a cellar two streets away to the west!" the thief immediately shouted causing another satisfied smirk to escape her lips. They should probably turn him in before going to get the Art and distributing it back out to its owners.

The redhead would compliment him on a job well done, placing her palm on his head as she gave it a gentle ruffle, causing him to close his eyes and smile as she did so. It felt great to be praised, even if it was in a way that let his spiky brown hair flail for a bit. Returning to a normal state, he would place his hands onto his head to fix his hair a bit, then would answer to her back with his smile turning into a white toothy grin. You got it! That was just about was much as he could tell her before a question would be directed to the main with the ponytail. It was to identify where the bits of art are located. If he did not answer, Haruki was going to get his Kunai knife and slice that adorable ponytail off. Heck, maybe even if the man didn't answer would the Akari do that. However, his smile would suddenly be shifted as he flinched back, still sitting on the back of their culprit, but his light brown eyes hollowed with panic as she got the metal tip to slice through the wooden board of the bar. Damn! That was a lot of strength behind muscles that don't seem too big, Haruki best takes a note on not getting her pissed. However, the task seems to have been done as the man would tell them the location without a fight.

Thank you, sir! Now can we do something about the ponytail? The man flailed at the half-joke that the brunette had made. however, he would look over to the Shadow Clones, full-well knowing what to do. Now it was time to get serious. Extending his finger to the first one, he would then begin to speak. Go over there to get the paintings! Every single one of them, make Lightning clones! And the first clone would zip off at 125 speed. Meanwhile, Haruki would take the time to put the mark on the back of their culprit before speaking to the second one. Use the summoning technique near the Anbu's! They will handle him from there. And the second one would disappear. Finally, it was Rae's turn for a word from him. You certainly are a fiery one, eh? Back to a genuine smile from him.

Rae smiled as she saw Haruki quickly take command and finish up the mission for the two of them through his clones. To her utmost surprise however he returned her compliment with one of his own. "You certainly are a fiery one, eh?" The comment, if said by anyone else in that way, would definitely be regarded as a way of flirting but with the innocent smile that Haruki was giving her, the red-haired beauty definitely knew not to read too much into it. Instead she simply chuckled it off. "It is what my original name stands for after all." The comment had slipped out of her lips before she could stop it. Rae almost panicked when she mentioned it and immediately changed the topic while heading for the door. "I'm going to train some ninjutsu tomorrow at noon on the training grounds. Feel free to come." She told him as she waved a hand for goodbye without glancing at him. It was her roundabout way to invite him to train with her. As she stepped out on the Suna streets she headed for the mission office in order to receive her cash reward. She was starving and could really go for some barbecue right around now.

It was in her name, and it clearly was evident in her work. Though she did not have to do much, he could see her having a lot of potential with fire. Reading her Chakra the other day, he noticed that hers was still a little bit hotter than any of the other energy flows he has seen in others. His was about the same since he learned fire as well, so it made sense. After that, she would then invite him to come with her to go training for some fire techniques. And to that, he would simply reply without a care in the world. Sure! I would love to! The Akari would exclaim, and would then wave off his job partner. Sounds like an event to look forward to. However, as soon as she left, he would get back up, and quickly dash out of the bar, all the way back home. Of course, his clone got the reward for him. Oh how great it felt to have them around.
