The alarm in Kira’s new apartment began to ring, filling up the silent room with the irritating sounds of a new day. While Sunagakure had grown on the young Uzumaki, there were plenty of new things that she hated. Waking up to the sounds of the freaking alarm was one of them. She missed waking up at the normal hours of the day when the sun was over the horizon and the birds were singing their lovely tunes. Now that she had actual responsibilities, she was forced to wake up at the butt crack of dawn. Not even the sun was awake, for the sky was darker than the color black. Without getting up from her bed, Kira slid her arm across the nightstand, knocking the clock towards the wall and silencing it once and for all. Letting out the sounds of an angry ogre, she crawled herself into her tiny bathroom and turned the shower one. And just like that, she jumped out, perkier than ever! All dressed and ready to go! There was nothing better than a nice hot shower while she sang her favourite songs as her neighboured “politely” told her to shut the hell up. 
 
Grabbing all her ninja gear, she hopped out the window and proceeded to the village gate where she would meet with her temporary team for this so called mission. I mean, she hadn’t been a ninja of Sunagakure for long. What had it been, like two days and they had already assigned her to something? Jeez, the people worked fast. Kira didn’t live too far from the gates, so she got there rather quick as she hoped form building to building. Somehow, her teammates had gotten there before her. She called total life hack but whatever.
 
“You must be Kira?” Before the Uzumaki could respond, the kid continued talking. “Well then, I’m captain of this mission got it! so make sure you do whatever I say an no questions asked.” The boy turned around to face who Kira assumed were the contractors. Kira’s hair began to lift up in rage as one of her eyes twitched ever so slightly before someone put a hand on her shoulder. “Don’t mind him. Our partner got severely injured on our last mission and he just wants to avoid another incident.” This calming soul of a girl smiled ever so gently at Kira, stopping her from bopping the kid on the head with his own fist. Usually, Kira was threatened by other females, but this girl needed her roots  done real bad, and don’t even get her started about those things she called bangs. She had potential to be pretty, but she didn’t even compare to the red headed princess.  “I suppose I’ll let it slide, but he really needs a chill pill.” Kira put her hands behind her head and observed the kid as he talked to the contractors before walking over to her and the other girl.
 
“Alright, our mission objective is to get these three to the border of the Volcano country. There will be a team there waiting to escort them back to Funkagakure. I’ll lead from the front, Kira you guard the back, and Shuin, you’re in charge of our sides. Let’s move.”
 
“aye aye cap’n” Kira said sarcastically. He seemed to have picked up on it because he seemed rather annoyed by her comment but didn’t bother to say anything more. And with that, they headed off towards the sunrise. Just kidding, it still wasn’t up yet.
 
Just like the first time Kira had walked through this desert to reach Suna, It sucked jut as bad the second time. A half hour into their travels, and it has mostly been quite. No one had yet to say a single word. If Kira put enough effort, she was sure she’d be able to hear the gossiping mothers back at the village. “Sandstorm, everyone get towards those rocks!” Kira looked further down ahead and spotted a the sandstorm he was talking about. Towards the south east were some large boulders they could use to take cover behind. Quickly, they all headed towards the giant rocks. “gah! my hair! I just had it done!” Kira said quite agitated. She didn’t have to look at her male companion to know he was rolling his eyes. Flustered, the young Uzumaki tied it up into a high ponytail. “We’ve got company.” Without even hesitating, Kira reached into her holster and pulled out a Kunai. “Shuin! Take position on top of the rock and scout for the enemy!” The male directed. Without asking questions, the female ninja headed up while the other two stood guard near the contractors. Few minutes passed without any movements before a sound of pain came from above. The young ninja was knocked off the high rock, her teammate breaking her fall. Kira looked up towards where she had fallen from and spotted a single man with a foreign headband on. He had one of those vest that higher up ninja usually wear, so he was at least of chunin rank. 
 
Putting down his teammate gently, The leader of this mission then charged straight ahead for the opponent. The two battled it out for quite a bit as Kira just stood watching. The way she saw it, she was protecting the clients from any other potential threats that showed up. In actuality, she didn’t want to get her butt handed too. Kira was pretty talented for her age, but she didn’t realize it. “aren’t you going to help him?” Kira stood at her teammate dumbfounded. “umm. well someone has to watch over the-“ Kira was cut off by the girl. “ I got it! just go!” 
 
Hesitantly, Kira charged towards the top of the large boulder. Just as she got to the top, the boy was sent launching off just like the girl had been. “looks like your my last opponent.” The raspy manned voice said, his voice sending shivers down her spine. The man charged her, almost catching Kira off guard. His fist came straight for betty. That was his first mistake, no one goes for her babies! Kira shifted her body to the left, using her hand to push his fist away simultaneously. She then hit the ground real low and stuck out her leg in order to trip him but he evaded the attack by jumping.  The giant of a man brought his fist together and planned to smash them on the girls head. The kunoichi jumped back before he had the chance.  Kira’s eyes widen as the man’s fist left a pretty decent sized crater in the rock. This man was strong! But he was definitely slow, and that’s where Kira would hopefully triumph. She sprinted back at her enemy, and did a small leap into the air before throwing a kick for the mans upper body. She had hoped to proceed by doing Leaf whirlwind, but the man grabbed her foot and tossed her violently towards the ground. 
 
Augh! 
 
Kira shrieked in pain as her shoulder made contact with the ground.  The man’s foot came crashing down on her. With a split second, she rolled away, the debris of the leftover crater blowing towards her direction. “I’ve had enough of you’re shit!” Kira announced as she quickly got up, facing the man. Her shoulder hurt liked hell, but no man was gonna abuse her like that and get away with it. Kira rushed towards the man again, but this time she would succeed. “This again?” The man laughed. That was, until ten chakra chains appeared through different parts of the girl’s body at an intense speed, wrapping the man until he couldn’t possibly moved and tipped over. The bladed tip of the chains digging deep into the man’s skin. He screamed in agony before Kira pounced on the man and swiftly cut the man’s throat, rendering him to finally face his sins. Even though he hadn’t realize it, Kira’s hair had been raising up as if denying gravity. 
 
“whoa…” Kira turned with her bloodied blade at the ready, but it had just been her female teammate. “How’d you do it?” Kira decided not to respond honestly. Besides, she mostly wanted to keep her abilities a secret. She didn’t need other reasons for people to hate her. “umm, he just left himself open that’s all! he was very careless!” Shuin didn’t seem to be quite pleased with the answer, but she accepted it. Before long, the group had continued off with their mission and successfully left the contractors with the other team at the border.
