"Hello, would you like to kill some evil today?"
Nightblood's voice spoke in his head as he held the sword in his quivering hands, sheathed as it was in its mysteriously fitting scabbard. Despite it being really just a twisted hunk of powerful metal, it was a blade of the highest quality. With the power of the requip dimension, it could make him go much faster and swing much stronger than he had before. The blade itself was well balanced as well, easy enough for him to wield with one hand. Hmm... it wasn't a katana either, being double edged in nature.
Well, in that case, it looked like he'd gained himself a blade of prowess.
He walked forward, putting the scabbard on his side to hang there as it should. It didn't really put him off balance, as he was used to wearing a blade there by now, the same way that a librarian adapts to the weight of a pencil behind his or her ear. Neurotic people, librarians. Kozan had had some difficulties with them in the past, especially when it came to reasearching jutsu that he apparently wasn't supposed to know about. How disappointing for someone like him, who would give almost anything for power.
The whole world was his to reach into and take power for his own. Being able to reach, though... that was the difficult part. This spatial armory, the requip, was the first step to that.
As he reached the training grounds, he gazed upon the training dummies there. Well, time to do things. He found a flat part of the training grounds and put an automated timer there. It would measure his swing speed. He knew that with Nightblood out, he'd be much faster and stronger than before, enabling him to move the blade at speeds many other genin could only dream of. He shifted slightly, his stance changing, and his right foot extending a little forward as he bent his knees, his right hand clenching Nightblood's cold hilt by his side.
"Huh."
He would draw it from it's scabbard, and with one quick motion, he would perform an arc'ing slash that would sever the dummy in half. Even the straw that was contained within didn't flutter around too much, as it too was severed by the sheer cutting power of the blade. Not bad... that would certainly kill a man. But was it enough?

"These dummies aren't evil, Kozan."
The sword seemed to pout as it sliced through the dummy, giving off some kind of air of disappointment. So, whatever the sword was cursed with had some kind of emotion as well. Whatever, it was just a tool, so Kozan didn't care much. Well... maybe he did. A little. It was another being, after all, and as such, a source of one-sided conversation... or at least, mostly one-sided. The only thoughts of his that made it through to the other entity in the blade were things like "shut up, you're a sword" or "silence, I'm thinking".
Those did qualify as responses, however, which bothered him somewhat. What was he supposed to do now? Was Nightblood capable of reading his mind? He gripped the sword tighter, as if willing it to choke the truth out of it. Was it just some kind of twistedly playful thing? Or was it even possibly a non entity entirely, merely a curse speaking to him and reaching out to kill others? Well, only time would tell, he thought, as he stepped back a little and eyes his handiwork with the dummy. Not bad... but he could definitely do better.

How sexual that sounded. He'd have to keep his mind off of such things, or Nightblood would surely make fun of him as it often did. Ooh, you're being such a naughty boy, and things like that. It was honestly pretty annoying. Most of the time, he'd just try to ignore it, but it was so annoying! At any rate, he didn't have time for jokes. He held Nightblood in front of him in a two handed stance, looking down at a convenient boulder in front of him. Hot, he'd be able to use this for training. If he could slice a boulder, then maybe he'd gain a moment of silence from Nightblood.

He brought the sword slightly to the side and pivoted it a bit, then swept it across, slicing off the top of the boulder.
Aww, said Nightblood with a whining tone, that wasn't good enough. Why are you such a scrub?
What was a "scrub", anyways? He didn't like the sword's tone either. Fuck you, he thought, and began to lay about in his mind for ways to silence the sword for some amount of time.
