Are they compensating for something? (Mission) Empty Are they compensating for something? (Mission)

Tue Sep 10, 2013 9:18 pm
Spoiler:

Haru sighed as yet another messenger bird appeared in his window. He stretched, sitting up in his bed, and taking the note from the messenger bird.
”Huh.” He would say, reading through the note. It seemed a tower has been taken over by some kind of missing ninja group, only identifiable as “M” ”What kinda group calls themselves “M”?” wondered Haru aloud, slowly getting out of the bed and pulling on his clothes. The leader of the group was known by the name of Turano Lazry, who is an S rank missing ninja. He had 10 A rank ninja under his command, the lot of them missing ninja as well. Their mission was to deal with them, and recover the tower they took over. Haru quickly pulled on his underclothes, grabbing his equipment as he prepared for yet another big mission. He was starting to enjoy these high-stakes missions. Stretching his arms as he pulled the rest of his gear on, grabbing a new trinket he’d picked up, it was called a soul amethyst, and it supposedly gave him an extra chance if he died. He slipped it into his pocket, before picking up and tossing his robes out the window. Haru jumped out after them, rolling in the air, and sliding his arms into the robes, pulling them on just as he landed. He was starting to get pretty cocky about things like this… Meh, he deserved a chance to show off every now and then, he had worked pretty hard to get this far along in his training.

He headed through the streets quickly, making his way straight for the building they were supposed to be liberating. He quickened his pace as he neared the tower, standing ominously in the distance. He hid behind the corner of the building, taking out one of his hand mirrors. Activating the byakugan, he could see the layout of the building, as well as the positioning of the ninja on it. They were pretty spread out for such a well planned operation, he wondered if they’d actually put that much thought into it. Maybe they thought they could make a pretty good first impression on the missing ninja community by taking the old school prison method: Find the biggest guy there, and beat the shit out of it. In this case, the biggest guy was that skyscraper. Or maybe, they were just compensating for an area of their body that they were… lacking in… Either way, their hours were numbered. He would not reveal himself yet, he would trust Rin to spot him with that sensory trick of his, and hope Takeo didn’t stroll in like he was walking up the back of a giant lizard. If Takeo showed up on another side of the street or something, he would signal him with the mirror, flashing it at him a few times, gesturing for him to get his ass over to them.

Once they were all there, Haru would give them the rundown of the building, mostly for Takeo’s benefit.
”The building has 24 floors. The first one has two men guarding the doors. Further up, on floor six, there’s two more, changing floors every so often. They’re probably checking to make sure there’s no one still in the building. Floors twelve and eighteen have the same thing. Up at the top floor, there’s the rest of them. I can’t tell if our man is at the top floor, but someone up there is giving orders. Rin, you probably shouldn’t use your trees, you’d end up destroying the building.” He would explain to them, pausing for a moment. ”We could scale the walls, but we have to take down all of them on the way up.” He would say, thinking for a moment. ”you two could take care of the bottom three, I’ll do the nearest to the top. While you guys take care of the rest, I can distract the big guy, and get him into position for you. I’ll walk into the room through the front door, crack a guy’s head open, and keep him talking, while you two position yourselves at the windows for the kill.” He would propose, nodding as he finished explaining the plan he had formulated. ”What do you guys think?” He would ask, waiting for one or both of them to respond.

Are they compensating for something? (Mission) Empty Re: Are they compensating for something? (Mission)

Thu Sep 12, 2013 4:21 am
He was awoken not by a bird flying into his head this time. Instead it was a bird flying into his window. You see for once Takeo had the sense to actually close his window before he went to sleep. This was quite a cunning tactic on his part. At least it was until the bird slid down the glass before falling to the ground. "Bugger." Was all the half asleep boy mumbled as he dragged himself out of bed. Now he found himself having to go all the way downstairs just to grab a stupid bird. "This better actually be important." He found himself mumbling to himself as he grabbed the stunned animal, pulling the small note off from it's leg. He decided he would not bother even trying to cook it this time, so simply put it out of the way of other people in order to let the thing recover. While he went back into his house to perform the usual routine of actually getting dressed he read through the note. "M..what an unoriginal name." He felt the need to point this out to himself as he chewed on some random thing he found in the fridge. "Turano Lazy? No wait, Lazry. Never heard of him." Takeo sighed as he just grabbed all of his equipment, he didn't feel like sorting through it all, and exited his home. He didn't see any indication of people being inside, only that it was some sort of cargo. Takeo wasn't quite sure why they would try to take over a tower in the middle of Tengakure, maybe they were a bit on the slow side? Whatever the reason he felt as if he needed to get there in quite a hurry.

Judging from how these things usually went, he expected that both Rin and Haru had arrived before him. He doubted though that they would try to start it all without him, they didn't seem to be the type. Still, Takeo couldn't shake the feeling that there wasn't only cargo in that tower. So for that reason he was doing something strange. At least strange for him anyway. He was running. He approached one of the streets that led to the tower, choosing to take an alleyway to approach instead of running down the road like a dumb ass. Sliding to a halt at the edge of the alley he did a quick look around. 'Seems like they haven't arr- OH GOD MY EYES.' Takeo thought to himself before being interrupted by a light blinding him from across the street. He doubled over for a second hands rubbing against his closed eyes. Taking a moment to recover from the blinding he glanced upwards and noticed Haru. Of course it was him, who else would try to blind him with a..piece of glass? 'Eh, whatever.'

A quick sprint across the street and he arrived by Haru's location. Not bothering to say anything about him almost being blinded for life by the other Genin. Assuming Rin did in fact arrive and didn't pull what he did during the lizard fight, that is arriving late then be useless, Takeo listened to the explanation given by Rin. He remained silent through most of it, processing the information that was being given. Then when Haru offered up his suggestion for a plan he would nod again. "Sure let's go with that." With his thoughts stated, or at least some of them, he pulled up his mask to cover the lower part of his face, if all of this went badly he didn't want his face to be remembered by a potentially dangerous group of Missing-Nin. Even if they did have a silly name.

"I assume we won't be needing to take them alive?" He asked the question anyway. Even though he assumed the answer would be no, after all that seemed to be the trend when it came to these missions. Though he was rather curious about why they would try and take over this tower in the first place. 'Most likely it's for the 'cargo' inside.' That seemed to be the most likely reason. Though the scroll neglected to actually mention what the damn cargo was. Takeo hated risking his own life trying to save something that he wasn't even aware of what it was. Maybe he could take a look at it when this was over, but then maybe the Tenkage might be angry at him. He'd think it over as he went about the mission.

Are they compensating for something? (Mission) Empty Re: Are they compensating for something? (Mission)

Fri Sep 13, 2013 12:58 pm
The morning was early, but so was life and work of an ANBU operative. Yozora did not hear or see a thing, nor did she use an alarm to wake her up. No, she simply knew it was time to rise from the bed. It was not that she had rested, no, it was just time to go. One could go on about time being an illusion of mind, but in this case there was no illusion, only discipline. Without much delay, the young Shinkou shattered the remainders of her dreams and opened her eyes. Looking through a window in her bedroom, she saw that it was still dark outside, but she knew that the sun should rise any minute now. Getting out of her bed and standing up on the floor, the girl would walk up to the window in her quite sexy underwear and pyjamas. As it should be, at this early hour there was not much movement outside, the village was still sleeping, in one sense - the people were sleeping, but there were people responsible for being very much awake even during this time. Sentries, they called them, among other things. Walking away from the window, the girl would not very girlishly grab some random clothes and head to the first floor, into the kitchen. She had never really thought how spacious this house was, that her parents - well, her dad, actually - had left her. It was built in traditional Japanese style, with all kinds of attributes, had two floors and a basement, three bedrooms, two studys, a huge living room on the ground floor, a kitchen and other necessary bits of a house, a goddamn garden in the same style and even a small pool, which could really use some work as there seemed to be something growing it in currently, but Yozora could not bother. So much space was for her alone and she simply could not use it all herself, mostly she was just taking up her bedroom, living room and sometimes one of the studys. She did enjoy the warm evening in the big living room, on the sofa in front of the fire, watching the sky through the big window-wall, but now she was thinking maybe call someone to live with her. Can't live alone forever, you know. The girl now found herself in the kitchen, making herself some tea. Once the progress was put in motion, she would take a moment to put her clothes on and then spend a few minutes chilling on the sofa, there was no need to light the fireplace, she would not be here that long. Once the tea was made, she would take the warm cup with the golden liquid and through a door enter he garden. It was starting to dawn and the garden has seen better days, but it was not an issue. Sipping from the cup, she would listen to how silent the village was, in a few hours it will be in a full swing, roaring, howling, fully awake. But not, slumber was its master. Walking back inside she closed the door and then poured herself some more tea. Well, morning was over for her more or less, now off to work! With the cup in one hand she would head back to her room, take her ANBU gear, cloak up, grab the blades and go back down. On the way out of the house, she would refill her cup and empty the teapot. Once outside, one had holding the cup, the other grasping two sheathed swords, she would spectre through the village into the ANBU HQ. The morning was early, but so was life and work of an ANBU operative.

After entering the offices, she would nod at a few known faces, who she knew were working here through the night. Once she got into her own office, she put the half empty cup on the table, the swords by the wall and then sit down. With a yawn Yozora would start going through reports, first the ones marked as urgent. About half of it complete crap that she did not even think was her job dealing with. Maybe it was Tenkage's, but for some reason they would be routed to her, she should do something about that soon. Anyway, now reading through the reports she found a big one. Not in size, but in meaning. A big problem that needed dealing with right away. Apparently some sort of shinobi faction named M... whatever, well they took over a tower storing several considerably important cargoes - for some reason the report did not explain what kind of cargo, which was a bit strange but maybe it was not deemed necessary. The group seemed to be quite a major risk to the village, it was surprising this did not receive a more urgent and forceful response, but somehow ended up on her desk. It must have been one of those coming from Tenkage's office. Somebody had already worked on it, as the report was half done into a mission, but it was incomplete. For a situation this dire, Yozora would not stall it any longer. She would take a scroll and write a mission request. She would pause on the field that specified what team is taking it. She did not know any Genin teams that she could send after this, not to mention that it might be a bit out of Genin league. Then she remember that ANBU trainee squad she had formed just recently. The names were Rin Taiki, Haru Hyuuga and Takeo Tadashii. And again, she remembered seeing a memo with Rin in it. The exact details eluded her at the time and not wanting to waste any or take any chances she just decided to fill in herself. It was a team under her command after all. The mission request now complete, she would write two short messages informing Haru and Takeo about the assignment. Then she would send the messages via messenger birds, give the mission request to be processed at the office (she did want to get the kids paid for getting up early, after all. Getting some herself would be nice as well) and then she would head out, after grabbing the swords again. This time without a cup.

The ANBU girl would arrive there first, it seemed. Her face would not be hidden behind a mask this time, well not under an ANBU mask but she still wore her multiweave one, covering half of her face. Her Meigan would scan the building, which was not as effective as she might have wanted it to be. But it might not be a problem after all, as one of the trainees on this mission was a Hyuuga, who wielded one of the best doujutsu on the land, able to pierce the walls and see inside. Maybe this boy would provide the intel she desired. As she waited, the Shinkou would circle the tower, making sure there was nobody outside, while staying out of sight so they would not notice her. Finally her teammates for this job arrived. First was Haru, taking up a hidden position, which she commented as smart in her mind. The girl would finish her circle and appear from around a corner behind Haru, out of sight of the tower. From there she could see the boy signalling something with a hand mirror. Without knowing what exactly he was doing, that sight made a few different ideas float around, but soon she would see Takeo, for whom the signalling was meant. She would approach the two and then Haru would start detailing the tower out of nowhere. It seemed that he had not noticed her being there and instead thought it was Rin with them. Once he finished, she would put her hand on Haru's shoulder, letting him know that Rin was not with them this time. Then she would comment on the plan. "That sound reasonable, but there are details. Like what if they try to escape? We cannot have A ranked missing ninja running around the village. So, I suggest one of you two infiltrate the upper half of the tower and proceed up. I will go through the main door and take down anyone below the middle, then go up as well. One of us has to stay outside, maybe on the very tip of the tower, and take care of any who attempt to leave. Which one of you does that role I will let you decide." After saying that, she hoped there would not be any more questions and they could commence the mission. Before it began, she would confirm Takeo's question. They were not obliged to capture the targets alive. Unless further questions were given, she would wish luck to the boys and dash at the main entrance. Her blood eyes would be stuck on the doors, as both blades would be unsheathed and held firmly in her hands, Shigure in her right and her family's katana gripped in her left hand. When there were but a couple meters left, she would raise the blade in her left hand above her head and briefly infuse it with wind chakra. The blade would then swing sideways down, sending a sharp wave of wind that would cut the doors in half also damaging the hinges, allowing Yozora to easily break through them. Once inside, hey death bringing eyes would immediately spot the two guards. The closer one was preparing some sort of technique, folding hands into a seal, hands he clearly did not need. Shigure would briefly chime, as the technique named Nightingale activated and before the man could react, he was relieved of his hands, the next swing taking his life. In what seemed to the two like a single moment, the girl would appear at the second one, her swords completely untraceable, cutting the man and causing multiple lethal injuries. She would not linger to finish them off, as she knew they would not last a minute. So instead, she would proceed to the next floor.

Are they compensating for something? (Mission) Empty Re: Are they compensating for something? (Mission)

Sat Sep 14, 2013 6:11 pm
Haru would watch as Yozora approached, circling around and doing what he could only assume was recon. Perhaps she didn’t know he could see anything and everything? As she circled back towards him, appearing behind him and putting a hand on his shoulder, Haru would nod intently.
”Rin’s not comin’ this time?” he would mutter, confused. He decided it was probably best he didn’t ask, it would just waste time. Haru would listen as Yozora made her comments on the plan, mentioning someone needed to keep a lookout. He would quickly put his finger to his nose.
”Not it.” He would say, looking to Takeo. He watched Yozora draw her blades, following behind her, before branching off, and beginning to scale the tower quietly. As he climbed, he watched Yozora with the byakugan. ”Holy shit. Could she always do that?” He would wonder, remembering that she was in his first chunin exams. He crawled through a window, quickly ducking behind a desk. He listened to them speak a moment, trying to listen for if they’d mention anything about why they wanted the building. Unfortunately, they seemed to just be exchanging casual banter.

Haru rolled forward from the desk he was hiding behind, taking cover behind a wall, as one of the ninja slowly walked in his direction, as per his patrol route. As soon as the ninja was in range, Haru came around the corner, punched him in the face, spun him around, and wrapped his arm around the man’s neck, pulling him back around the corner. He debated whether he should let the man live or not… Crap, they weren’t supposed to take them hostage. Sighing, he stopped choking the man, and twisted his neck quickly. ”Sorry, pal.” He would mutter, laying the body up against a wall. He would then quickly make a few hand signs, using the transformation jutsu to turn into the ninja he’d just killed. He approached the other guard, who was staring out a window. He quickly wrapped his hand around the man’s neck, slamming him into the ground with so much force he broke through the floor, and the next two after it. Standing up quickly, Haru dropped the transformation. He then noticed the man he’d just… liquefied… had dropped a radio before he’d been… liquefied… The radio beeped loudly, and the screen read “Call incoming” Haru, not wanting to compromise them just yet, answered the call.
”Everything’s under control, situation normal. We’re fine.” He said into the radio. The radio beeped, before a voice answered back.
”What happened? Came a voice from the radio.
”Uh… we had a slight equipment malfunction, but uh... everything's perfectly fine now. We're fine. We're all fine here now, thank you. How are you?” Said Haru, beginning to panic.
”Who is this? I don’t recognize your voice.” Came the voice again, sounding suspicious.
”Uh….” Muttered Haru. He quickly hurled the radio at a wall, smashing it. ”Boring conversation anyways.” Said Haru, continuing on his trek to the top floor.

Sliding open the window, and beginning to climb up the side of the building again, making his way to the next guarded floor.

Using the byakugan, not wanting to take the risk of peeking up over the window, he saw the missing ninja talking with each other for a moment, before separating, heading in opposite directions. As one of them neared his window, Haru clenched his fist, breaking the glass with a kunai, reaching through, and thrusting it into the man’s neck, twisting it so that it stayed in, and pulling him out the window with it, tossing his body to the streets below. He then hopped in through the window, brushing off pieces of glass that were covering his arms. The man across the hall spotted him, and Haru saw a kunai fly his way. Ducking backwards, he watched it fly over his head, before he flung his upper body back forwards, running straight for him at top speed. As he dashed by, he pulled out his spine, holding his arm out so that the spine would hit the area just above the man’s waist as he passed. The man didn’t have time to react, he was cut clean in two. Turning as he ran, Haru threw the spine at his head, putting him out of his misery, before turning again and continuing his quest to the top floor. He would face no more guards, at least, not until he reached the top floor. In the meantime, he reached the stairs.
”Are you fucking kidding me?” He would mutter. He had to walk up six flights of stairs. That wasn’t a ridiculous amount, but it sure killed the mood of the mission…

When he finally reached the top floor, he headed out the stairwell, walking quietly through the halls, towards the room they were in. Finally reaching the doors that kept them from their , Haru did the polite thing: He knocked on the door.
”Excuse me sir, can you make the time in your day to talk about our lord and savior, Viper Uchiha?” He would ask sarcastically, waiting for a response, and trying to buy time for Yozora if she wasn’t already there.

Are they compensating for something? (Mission) Empty Re: Are they compensating for something? (Mission)

Sat Sep 14, 2013 8:39 pm
It seemed that Rin was as usual late. Or in fact not even coming on this mission at all. Though luckily it seemed they wouldn't be two manning this baron mission. Instead Yozora had graced them with her presence. Quite a good thing, seeing how Takeo was having a bit of a problem. Contrary to his own thoughts just a moment ago. It seemed he had not yet recovered from his blinding moments ago. He rubbed his eyes for a moment but it seemed that the blotches in his vision would not go away that easily. He silently cursed Haru for putting him in this predicament for he was rather sure that this would end up getting him killed. Though it was at that moment that Yozora said something about someone staying on guard duty outside the tower. This was a blessing for Takeo, so when Haru attempted to get himself out of it Takeo simply remained silent. This was the perfect opportunity for him to do nothing. For he would surely be cut down with these vision problems are the moment. Takeo kept his eyes closed and listened as he heard two sets of footsteps fading away. He briefly opened his eyes to catch Yozora cutting through the door and entering in the building, before also noticing Haru begin his ascent up the tower. He silently vowed to get his revenge on the boy for this.

Rubbing his eyes once more he continued with his cursing, now audible since no one was actually around. He leant around the corner for a moment before remembering Yozora mentioning something about being at the tip of the tower. That did actually make quite a bit of sense, for he would be easier to catch if one of them tries to escape..or something. So that was the reason why he stepped out from the protection of the alleyway or whatever he was in and proceeded to follow the route the other two had taken. Eyes still slightly stinging he kept them closed for a bit and instead kept one of his hands in front of him in order to stop walking straight into the tower itself. Stopping once he felt contact with his finger tips he opened his eyes for a brief moment before jumping onto the side of the tower and beginning his ascent. Remembering to pool the chakra into his feet as he doesn't end up falling like a dumb ass his ascent was a slow one. Though a couple of seconds in he decided perhaps it would be best not to stroll up the side of a tower filled with deadly missing-nin. So that was the reason he instead ran up the side, all the while humming to himself. His eyes opened briefly to note that Haru had disappeared from view, probably going inside of the building at this point. It was about thirty seconds or so into his run that Takeo got bored. A single hand seal was made and in the next moment he had Body Flickered. Now being within a couple of steps of the top of the tower.

He shivered as the wind blew which sent a chill down his spine. He had to admit though, it was quite a nice view. Well the bits he could actually see anyway. These blotches were there for a surprisingly long amount of time. Takeo wondered if permanent damage had been done. Seating himself upon the slight ledge that jutted from the top of the tower he yawned. "I'm glad I have the easy job this time. Having Yozora here to carry the team makes this a whole lot more relaxed than usual." He said out loud to the wind. Rubbing his eyes for what had to be the tenth time he finally began to see more clearly. The blotches in his vision slowly fading away granting him the full use of his eyes. Not that he needed them from up here, he doubted any of the missing-nin would be able to escape. And even if they did he doubted it would be a silent one. Takeo sat back and relaxed. The mission would be over soon and then he could go back to bed. Though he did wish those two would hurry up. It was incredibly cold up here.

Are they compensating for something? (Mission) Empty Re: Are they compensating for something? (Mission)

Sun Sep 15, 2013 11:08 am
Second floor, third floor, fourth... This was quite an exercise, but it was getting boring. The girl remembered her next dose of kills was on the next floor and the rest above should be getting handled by Haru, all up to the very top where the last three should be. Emerging from the shadows of the stairs Yozora would spot the two guarding the sixth floor and they in return would spot her. They were ninja alright, one appeared to be stuffed with scrolls the other wielding a giant blade. The scroller had a fairly confused expression, but his colleague did not waste any time and was already gripping the hilt of his weapon. That man would immediately become Yozora's target. Dashing at him, her blades still singing the choir of death, girl would perform a technique labeled as body flicker. Over a number of situations like this, when she was fighting with both hands wielding swords and unable to weave hand seals, she had learned how to perform minor techniques like that without requiring those. In a blur she would momentarily disappear and appear a couple meters in front of the blader, who already had the butcher sword above his head, grasped with both hands. Something that massive coming down, a blade three time bigger and many times heavier than her own swords, would surely break through her defense if she tried to take it head on. Instead she would parry it, redirecting and letting it slide harmlessly to the ground on her right, the katana wielded in her left hand being the guide. As the heavy metal struck the ground like a thunder, her right hand would toss Shigure into the air, the sword chiming the song of night that was the legacy of the technique she used before. Catching it backwards like a dagger, the blade would now shadow a menace on the man's heart. The hum turning into an anthem of hunt as the bloodletter female infused the blade with chakra meant to empower the illusion. Any other man's will would be extinguished at this point, them facing a mortal fate. But the one in front of her had a hidden power of his own, a right eye like a sun glows as a sinister smile curves his face. A doujutsu? Yozora's Meigan giving insight into the danger when it spots the giant sword drinking chakra of its master. Reflexes taking over at this point, she would escape with her epidermis intact, dodging to the side when the sword suddenly exploded. Landing a couple meters away she would then slide a bit more until she stopped. Her cloak would not have been able to protect her from something like this and without it she was pretty exposed, her best defense being her strong offense. The girl would stand straight once again, both opponents smiling and being sure they could best her, something she was going to prove wrong in a moment. Dashing once again at her enemy, this time she would take him blow head on. The giant sword would rise once more, preparing for a straight vertical descent in an attempt to crush her. Both her blades would move symmetrically, both performing the dance of lotus, her arms holding the weapons would blur out and then the hit and dust would follow. In a moment the scene would become visible again - the girl with her blades crossed holding back the giant sword. Her opponents eyes would widen for a moment, even the glowing one. It might be that he was never blocked head on like this before, or maybe the eye of sun could see the fate that this spelled for him? Activating the flash blade again, with ever increasing might Yozora would push back the crusher, sending it above the man's head and providing herself with an opening. The man now had both his hands above his head with the sword and was fighting the incredible inertia that came with all that mass. Shigure and her sister would flash once, striking at the base of his neck, diving deep into his chest and stopping only at his center. With that the whole structure was broken and the man was dead before his body even began to collapse to pieces. After looking at the scared face of her next on the list, Yozora drew her blades out, but not straight, rather through the sides like tearing the body, splitting the stomach in half and allowing the falling massive blade to crush the rest.

The two bloody blades would stop for a moment as Yozora was unsure if the remaining guy there had it in him to face her. He may have been confused at the time, but soon he would be completely convinced when with a boom something crashed through the floor above them, breaking the roof and landing on the ground. From the looks of it the thing that Yozora would call a 'pancake' used to be a person launched with enough force to break through a couple floors and leave it in that shape. Must be Haru's... doing. Anyway, the sight of that was enough for the scroller and he decided to turn tail and run for it, heading for the window. Yozora would lunge after him, but see that she would not make it as he was closer to it. So instead she would do something else. Noticing a small cobble on the ground - a part of debris from the crash, she would essentially kick it. But, she would make her foot pass just a bit above it, not hitting it directly. As it did so, she would focus chakra at the spot, making a combat use of Waterwalking technique and making the stone follow her leg. Then at the certain angle a moment later she would release it and send it flying at her target by the window. The cobble would hit the guy with enough force to cripple him temporarily, making him trip and fall through the gap that he hoped to be his exit. When in fact it turned to be his exit from life. Maybe not completely, it was only the sixth floor and who knows how durable that guy was, but Yozora decided to leave him to Takeo, let the boy earn his bread.

Finally she would leave the floor, but not by the stair. No, she had enough of it. This time she would go up by running up the tower using chakra at her feet to keep attached to the stone. A few floors above her she could see Haru doing the same. After a moment he would stop by a window and then trust his hand inside. Suddenly Yozora realized a body was falling directly onto her, a body of someone Haru had dragged through the window and threw outside. She would swiftly step aside, deciding not to disturb the guy who might be enjoying his free fall. "Hey, watch it!" would be directed at Haru, who at this point would have disappeared into the tower again. Probably already killing someone. Yozora would not bother stopping by the broken window to check up on him, instead she would pass by and go for the top floor where Haru said the leader was. After a bit she would be there, by the window leading to that section of the tower. Silently gaining an entry, she would check the chamber. There were a lot of crates and everything here. The door on the other side of the room suddenly opened and a guy walking in backwards, not noticing her. "...It's not there. Wait, let me check out this room." Then he would close the door and turn around, spotting her and stopping in his track from surprise. Yozora, still sitting on the sill would most calmly raise one of the blades "These are not the cargoes you're looking for" After the words came a chime indicating activation of the illusion as her blade sang a song of kings and queens. A lullaby of death for this man. In a moment he would be disabled, but he would not meet the floor with his head. Yozora would land behind his broken body, both of her blades silently humming. She would then wait to see what would happen in the other room from which the man just came.

Are they compensating for something? (Mission) Empty Re: Are they compensating for something? (Mission)

Sun Sep 15, 2013 4:58 pm
Haru sniggered a little when he saw the body crash through to Yozora’s level. Then he stopped and wondered just how low he’d sunk, to actually be laughing at something like that. Eh, now wasn’t the time to worry about matters of morality.

saw Yozora take down the guy who branched off from the other two, apparently looking for something or other. She… well, he didn’t really understand what she did… he couldn’t hear her blades making any noise from where he was, so he assumed it was just normal weaponry techniques. Well, it was time to stop watching and deal with his own fight.

Well, to their credit, the two guys in the room weren’t the dumbest people he’d faced. Still, what they did was not all that smart. Though, the probably didn’t know he could see through the walls. One of the men slowly approached the door with a sword in hand, his intentions clear.
”Please sir, just a moment of your time!” He continued, in the most annoying voice he could muster. He then quickly spun to the side, taking cover behind the wall, as the sword was thrust through the door. Acting quickly, he moved towards the door, and thrust his hand through it, the wood bending away like cardboard. Once his arm was through, he wrapped his hand around the man’s throat, pulling him clean through the door, and hurling him at the wall behind him. The man slowly pulled himself out of the wall.

”Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrgh!” Screamed the man in anger, as the leader just watched, like a deer in the headlights.
”It was a fair move y’know. Screaming about it won’t help you.” Scolded Haru in mock seriousness, sticking to his original plan of distracting them. He started to walk into the room where their target resided, casually leaning against a wall. The man began to run at him, drawing a sword. Haru ducked around it, moving at his top speed, and ending up behind him. ”Now just give up. It’s not wise to upset me.” He would tell the man knowingly, as he tried, yet again, to strike him with the sword. This time, Haru whipped a bone out of his arm to deflect it, knocking the blade away.
”And you’re not worried about upsetting me?” Said the man angrily, stabbing at him again.
”Well, you’re not known for pulling people’s arms out of their sockets when you’re mad. I’ve been known to do that.” Explained Haru attentively, as the man swung at him again, before changing momentum and suddenly swinging around the other way, slashing at his other side, which he left unguarded. He’d been cocky, and he wasn’t prepared for that. He awkwardly dodged the attack, getting out of the way messily, turning to face the man just in time to see him aim a kick at his center of mass. As Haru began to fly backwards, he hooked his foot on the man’s belt, pulling him out along with him. They both crashed through the window, Haru flying out first, basically getting the worst of the glass, although it didn’t really bother him that much. He had a plan.

He swung his foot over his head, using the man’s own mass to bring him around so that he was on top, with the other man below him, falling towards the ground. He slipped his hand onto the ledge, using the wall walking tech and applying chakra to his hand, stopping their motion. The other guy came around full circle, crashing through the window of the building. Haru hesitated, unsure of whether or not he should go after him. He was without a doubt still alive, but… Their primary target was the leader. Said leader was now attempting to make his way up to the top floor, where takeo was supposed to be keeping watch. Haru quickly got to his feet, chasing after him. As he reached the top of the building, The man simply stared off the edge.
” This is some Heist! You came in here, but didn't you have a plan for getting out? Asked Haru sarcastically, watching to make sure he didn’t jump for it. He waited to see what the man would do.

Are they compensating for something? (Mission) Empty Re: Are they compensating for something? (Mission)

Sun Sep 15, 2013 8:22 pm
Takeo sat silently on the edge of the tower. His right knee was brought up to his chest, his chin resting onto it as he stared downwards. He noticed every now and again the two other members of the squad running up the tower before entering into it once more. It seemed that it was going rather swimmingly this mission. Though there were a few bodies that seemed to be piling up at the bottom of the tower. So naturally it seemed that it was Takeo who would have to get investigate this. It was for that very reason he was now located back on the ground. Having descended down back the way he came he touched down on the ground with a light thud. Stepping over towards the closest downed missing-nin to him he examined it for a moment. It wasn't exactly a nice sight to behold. Even if the guy was alive before he had been evicted from the tower he certainly was not in the realm of the living any more. Takeo wordlessly looked away and moved on, despite the fact that these were real humans he felt no emotion while looking at the bodies. To him these people were no one. Perhaps if he had at least slightly known who they were it would have affected him. But he did not know these people, so it did not matter at all. He did a check of the other bodies before he caught something out of the corner of his vision. The last body, the one he had yet to check. The one that he had first seen being thrown from the tower. The thing he noticed was movement. This man was still alive.

Takeo strode over towards the downed man, crouching next to him. He was at a loss for what to do right now. The blank mask that was his face shattered at the pitiful sight before him. The impact from the fall he had suffered from had not been enough to kill the man instantly, so instead he was left here to die a slow painful death. The man was still breathing, it was faint but it was there. Takeo was beginning to regret having his mask on right now, he had the feeling he was going to throw up. He remained in the same spot for a few moments frozen, not sure what to do. It was then that he realised. It was his job to end this man. This man was a missing-nin, a traitor who had attempted to do harm to the village. At least, that was what Takeo told himself as he reached into his pouch. Pulling out a kunai he took in a breath before plunging it into the man's chest. It seemed that pure luck would bring the kunai into the man's heart. As Takeo had not bothered to aim for it, so by a mere fluke the man was killed almost instantly. A sharp breath was all that was heard from the man, before he became still. Takeo pulled the kunai from the corpse and numbly wiped the blood off. He couldn't really process what he had just done. He simply placed his kunai back into his pouch and stood up. This had been his first time killing someone. Takeo turned around to stare up at the tower. Those two in there, they had done it before. To them it must seem like a routine thing to do right now. He felt kind of sick. And he indeed was sick not a few seconds later. His mask was tugged down and he doubled over as he vomited.

"Disgusting." Was all he managed to say as he wiped his mouth with the back of his sleeve. He tugged his mask back upwards to cover over his mouth before heading back over to the tower. He needed to get back to his post and soonish. Trying to get the image of the bodies below him out of his mind he began the long walk back up the side of the tower. As he ran up the side of the tower his hand found itself once more rummaging through his pouch. What it grabbed was the kunai he had been using earlier. Retrieving it from the pouch he kept a firm grip on the handle. He felt as if he would need it in the next few moments. Quite the precognition on Takeo's part as he saw Yozora making her way up the side of the tower. It seemed that her job was already done and she was moving in for the kill. He decided to silent follow behind her, after all making a lot of noise to simply say hi to her would probably just piss her off. She seemed like the type to take missions super seriously. Though as he watched her he couldn't help but wonder how old she even was. She looked rather on the young side, definitely younger than Takeo himself was. What was with Tengakure and having a bunch of little kids running around with high ranks. The first thing he thought of when he said that was the ex-Kirigakure-nin Xyxer. It had been quite awhile since the two of them had last met but Takeo remembered the previous meetings well. After all it had shown him just how powerful people could actually be. Then came Den, the leader of Takeo's genin team. The guy didn't seem that much older than Takeo was. This made the Genin wonder if there actually were any old ninja within this village. From what he had heard even the Tenkage wasn't exactly what you would call old.

His thought process ended however when he noticed Yozora disappear back into the tower. It seemed that she was beginning the final phases of the mission. Takeo thought upon whether or not to go aid her in the 'final battle'. But he doubted she would actually need help, after all she was an Anbu operative. But then again, even if she was these guys were still dangerous. And it was Takeo's duty as an elder ninja and as a man to aid a woman in her time of need. Or something like that. So that was why Takeo changed his course and found himself running towards the window in which Yozora had entered. He arrived in time to see the body of another man hitting the ground. There Yozora stood, wielding two blades in her hands. He too entered in through the window, hoping that she wouldn't cut him into ribbons thinking he was a missing-nin. "Doesn't seem like there are that many left to go." He spoke out to the girl. Though he did not receive an actual answer. Takeo wasn't really surprised by this, after all she didn't seem the sociable type. Though she did seem to speak a lot when in the planning stage. Maybe she was one of those workaholics types. He made a mental note to try and find out more about this girl in the coming weeks. However his train of thought was cut off when he heard another thud. He turned, assuming that there had been another missing-nin hidden away within the room. His mouth opened and he began to speak a thanks before his eyes rested on a disturbing sight. It was not a male's body that had hit the floor. It was Yozora's.

Takeo's eyes darted left to right as he examined the room. His kunai was at the ready in case the assailant would try and attack him. As the seconds ticked by Takeo slowly relaxed. It seemed that there was not another person within the room. Takeo relaxed himself and let out a deep sigh of relief. Though he then remembered why he was on edge in the first place. Two powerful strides and he was next to her. He crouched down and did a quick examination. He failed to notice any sign of blood, so it seemed that she had not been wounded. Perhaps the girl had simply collapsed from exhaustion? That didn't seem that likely though, so he tried to wake her. A few seconds of shaking and saying her name did nothing. He even slapped her across the face to try and wake the girl up from the shock. Throughout this all Takeo remained passive and calm. He once more placed the kunai into his ninja pouch and scooped up the girl in his arms. The fact that she had yet to respond to any of this worried Takeo slightly. So with his arms full he performed a hand seal. A single clone would appear, a clone of the lightning element to be precise. Said clone's task was to relay what had happened to Haru whenever he arrived here. For now Takeo decided it would be best to get out of here for now. He was sure that Haru would be able to handle the clean up on his own. There was no time however to think on how he would react in having to deal with the mess himself, as Takeo was in a rush. He took several steps back from the window before running towards it. Planting his feet on the windowsill for a brief moment he used it as a platform for him to jump off of. Exiting out of the tower he sailed through the air for a moment. Travelling a good few feet before touching down on the rooftop of the tower opposite the one under 'siege'.

It was through this roof jumping method that Takeo rapidly approached the nearest hospital. Or rather the only hospital that Takeo was aware of in Tengakure. He took his mind off the current situation in order to make a reminder to himself to fully check out the locations of several key points within the village for future use. He continued on his journey to the hospital. And upon arrival would immediately hand her off to the nearest medical shinobi available. He felt quite shattered after this mission, with first the killing of a man and then the collapsing of Yozora. Takeo felt exhausted himself from all of this. And so he collapsed into the chair in one of the waiting rooms and awaited for when the medical shinobi would inform him of Yozora collapsing from lack of sleep or something along those lines. Right?

While this had all happened the lightning clone of Takeo had once more taken up the same position that Takeo himself had once sat at. There was nothing for it to do but follow its primary 'mission' as it were to the letter. So it waited for Haru to finish up so it could inform him of what had just happened. It seemed like eons before he heard movement behind him. The clone turned it's head to see a man bursting out onto the rooftop. From the flustered and frightened look on his face the clone assumed it to be the leader of the group. Turano Lazy or something like that. Though the guy didn't seem to be that lazy at the moment. Was was quite interesting was that in his haste to try and escape, he had failed to notice the boy seated next to where he was standing. He seemed to be more focused on Haru, who followed out after him yelling something about escape routes. It was true that the man should have thought it through before hand. The clone however decided it would be best to simply ignore the man for now. As there was more important news to convey. "Haru, Yozora fell asleep during the mission. So Takeo took her to the hospital to get her checked up. He was confident in your abilities to finish the mission alone." The clone said this in a monotone. It was kind of weird having the clone speaking in such a robotic and lifeless way. But that just made it easier for it to show it was not the real Takeo. With that in mind the clone decided to give Haru some aid in this matter. And as the man finally took notice of the clone and wildly tried to attack it it would take the hit. The clone dispersing and lightning coursing through the man shocking him for a brief moment. A moment that Haru should probably take advantage of.

Are they compensating for something? (Mission) Empty Re: Are they compensating for something? (Mission)

Sun Sep 15, 2013 10:54 pm
Haru would listen to Takeo speak… So their captain fell asleep? He didn’t believe that for a second, that sounded like a sarcastic joke on Takeo’s part. Shit, He hoped she was ok… The clone then dispersed back into lightning as the man tried to hit him, stunning the man momentarily. Haru took full advantage of it, kicking the man away, slamming him into a wall. The man slowly recovered from the blow, as Haru casually air boxed, waiting for him to get back up. Now that he had the man to himself, he was gonna take advantage of the opportunity to fight an S ranked missing ninja. An S ranked missing ninja. Seriously. As the man charged him down again, drawing a sword, Haru didn’t even pause his taunt to ready his attack. Once the man got near, he feinted an attack, and ended up tackling Haru to the ground, putting the sword to his neck. Haru reflexively thrust his hidden blade into the man’s shoulder.

He fell back in pain and surprise, as Haru jumped to his feet. He had nowhere left to run, and was already wounded… this was the end for him. There were a lot of them to begin with, all pawns of this man, but now Haru would see just how well he could handle himself alone..
“A Hyuuga, eh? I think we’ll keep those eyes of yours, you little brat.” Said one of the missing ninja, taking a step forward. Haru tensed up at the mention of taking his eyes… he only had the one left, and were there any odds of him giving it up? Not a chance. He grabbed the man’s arm as the ninja tried to strike him, kicking him in the stomach, and prying his weapon from his hands. He threw the sword at the man’s chest at a speed that should have killed him, if not for the lucky dodge he managed to pull off at the last second.
“I won’t mess around. You’ve got one chance to surrender. And if you don’t, I’ll kill you. Slowly, painfully, and without mercy.” Said Haru threateningly. The men held their ground, however.

The missing-nin advanced on him slowly, wielding his katana. They had superior reach on Haru this way, but Haru refused to arm himself,  He could take him unarmed. The man dashed at him, swinging the sword at his midsection. Haru sidestepped the blow, his hands beginning to glow blue as he started his gentle fist barrage.
”Eight Trigrams: Sixty Four Palms!” He called, striking at the man as fast as he could. The first ten or so hit, before the man eventually sidestepped a strike, and managed to run Haru’s arm through with the sword. Haru screamed in pain, punching the dull end of the sword, and breaking the blade in two, before he managed to make the wound any worse. He yanked out the shard of the katana, tackling him, and trying to jab it into his side. He jerked to the side suddenly, and the blade just grazed his skin, leaving a small cut. Haru cursed, his attack had missed… The man stepped back, making a few shadow clones to attack while he rested.

The man concentrated, summoning a mob of clones to charge him down. Haru grinned, running at the mob, and jumping at the last second, tucking in his legs, left arm back, right arm ahead of his body, thrusting his hidden blade into one of them. He landed on the first clone, piercing its head and dissipating it. He hooked his tomahawk around the clone to his right's ankle, tripping him, before striking at him with the hidden blade as well. He activated his Byakugan, and time seemed to slow, as he checked his surroundings. They'd already surrounded him, and more were on the way, grabbing weapons from the racks as they came, or picking them up from their fallen brothers. He charged the nearest clone, jumping at the last second, tucking his legs in, before kicking at her and knocking her to the ground, dissipating her. He struck at the clone behind him with the hidden blade, spinning around her as she fell to the floor, dissipating. As he came around, a with a sword in hand, swinging it wildly at him. Haru caught the sword by the blade, headbutting him and freeing the sword from his grip, swinging it around, and back at him. Not even waiting for her to dissipate, he dropped the weapon and lunged at a clone to his left with his hidden blade. He jumped back, out of his reach, before swinging a sword down at him. He caught the sword, headbutting her, before noticing with his Byakugan that another clone was trying to hit him from behind. Laughing maniacally, Haru twisted the sword in his hands to deflect the blow, before turning it back on him, inflicting a death blow. He turned back on the clone behind him, tripping him, and striking down with the blade. Then he found himself blindsided. The man appeared behind him, too fast for him to react to. He ran the broken off sword into his leg, laughing as he fell to the ground, tossing him away like a broken toy. Haru rolled away, out of stabbing range of the man, but it felt poinless.

Haru, holding his bleeding leg, tried in vain to get to his feet. He had one shot. The man slowly walked towards him, his blade shining as he prepared it for the final blow. He held the blade over Haru’s head, looking him in the eyes for a moment.
”A good try, boy. You almost had me, but your allies abandoned you too soon.” He said, before bringing the blade down at Haru’s head. Just before it impacted, Haru rolled to the side, dodging the blade, and holding up his good arm.
”Eight Trigrams: Vacuum Palm!” He called out, blasting the man at point blank range with a huge amount of force, sending him flying through the air, and to the streets below. No matter how strong you were, you could NOT survive that fall. Haru grimaced, his attention going back to his leg. Dammit, he’d given Haruna his surgical needle… Why had he done that? Fuck! He held his leg, trying to stop the blood. He quickly pulled off his robes, taking some of his bandages, and wrapping them around the wounds tightly, deeming them good enough for the moment.
”Ugh, there’s blood everywhere…” Hw would mutter, as he slowly got to his feet. What a mess he was. His robes were covered in blood, he was bruised, scarred, and had a serious limp. He slowly limped down the stairs, realizing he had 24 flights of stairs to limp down, then a good ten blocks to the hospital.
”GOD DAMMIT!!!” He yelled to the air, as he began his long, painful path.
