Atsui In The Academy. {Solo Training}

Atsui was waiting, for class to start. He was in the hallway right outside of his first class. He was reading a scroll of notes he had taken the other day, about the clone technique. His sensei had taught him a bit about the technique, how it was intangible, and how it was useless when it came to terms of attack, though often it could be made a good distraction. He had drawn the necessary hand seals on the scroll, this way he didn’t have to search throughout other scrolls for the way to perform proper hand seals. Another thing mentioned in the scroll was the transformation technique. The transformation technique allowed for the user to transform their physical appearance into someone, or something else. This was rather useful, though only when people cannot sense your chakra signature, if they have that ability the jutsu is as good as useless. The final technique was the substitution technique. It allowed the user to switch out with another object, though it’s impossible to switch with a living being. The thing that shinobi mainly substituted with were logs, which were plentiful in the forests, though the substitution was not exactly limited to logs along. One thing that could be used along with this jutsu were clones, an effective decoy which may allow for the user to be presumed as ‘dead’, or hit. These three techniques were quite useful among Shinobi, though Atsui preferred other techniques. He himself quite enjoyed Fuinjutsu, something common to see among the Uzumaki clan. Fuinjutsu, according to his sensei and most books, had the capabilities of sealing things. From normal, everyday items to large amounts of chakra.


Soon enough, five minutes before class, his teacher had arrived. “Hello Sensei-San.” Atsui spoke, as his sensei would begin to unlock the door.

“Morning, Atsui-Kun.” Sensei had replied, as he began to unlock the door. There were a few other students, Atsui noted, as he began to put away his notes. The students began to flood into the room, twenty at most. Atsui sighed, as he continued to sit there. Despite being the first to arrive often, he was usually the last to arrive inside the class room. He put his goggles back down to where they belonged. They were covering his forehead, but after getting up he felt slightly uncomfortable with them, so he moved it to where they were dangling around his neck. He sighed, and moved into the class a few seconds before the bell had rang.


“Morning, everyone.” He said, somewhat quietly, though loud enough to where the silent class could hear him. The sensei didn’t like talking during the morning, especially on this day of the week. The bell rang.


“Good morning class,” the sensei said. Atsui could tell he wasn’t finished, he never was. “today we will be practicing in the three techniques I’ve taught you recently.” The sensei finished. “Line up.” He said once more, Atsui began to stand up and approach the front of the class. He was second, due to the alphabetical order the sensei had them line up in.




“First we will start with the Clone technique, after that head to the back of the line and read the notes over the Substitution technique.” Sensei said. “And after that, we will be performing the transformation.” He continued, letting the students know they should also study that.


Atsui watched as the boy ahead of him began to perform the necessary hand signs for the clone technique. There weren’t that many, really. There were three hand seals in all. He watched as the female in front of him produced two, nearly perfect clones. The sensei marked it as a ninety five. Atsui was next. He sighed and walked forward, and began to produce the following hand seals; Ram, snake, and tiger, in that order. Two clones appeared in a cloud of smoke. They were perfect, though sensei marked the grade as a ninety nine. There wasn’t three strokes, so he could tell there were only two numbers. With a sigh, he took out a scroll, slid the paper open, and began reading over the substitution. He could be capable of switching out with an object of his choosing, living ones could be prepared, but hell, who had that time? A simple substitution was commonly a log, though seeing as he was in class, he had a semi-different idea. The line got shorter and shorter, soon enough, he would witness the female in front of him performing the substitution. Typically, she switched with a log. When the sensei called Atsui up, he began to perform the hand signs, and he traded out with a chair. When the smoke cleared, he was falling from the ceiling. The sensei graded him, a ninety. Atsui sighed, creativity apparently meant nothing for shinobi. He was in the back of the line, he knew how to cast the Transformation technique, at least. He sighed, not having to study over his notes for another five minutes, he wanted to take a nap. A nice, five minute nap. But nope, instead the line moved faster and faster. Soon enough it was his turn. He began by performing the necessary hand seals. A cloud of smoke surrounded him, and when it faded he was, in appearance, similar to his sensei, except for a single flaw he didn’t notice. Three strokes. It was a hundred. He sighed, as he canceled the technique. He went and took his seat, now finished with the first lesson of the day.
