EGF & Sharingan [spar with Takazashi, p, nk]

Vitus was out for a walk when he suddenly came across an old training ground in the center of the city. The place was decrepit and clearly showed the negligence of the raikage to clean things up. Vitus had gotten so angry and grumpy lately, that he had not really trained in quite a while. His last spar in the woods had been quite a debacle. So, he just went into the training ground and began stretching to get ready to work out. Hopfully, this would come to some good; he really needed the strength. He began to start his regular sequence of excersize.

Takazashi didn't know why he was named that. He had always thought that his parents (rest their souls) had always been a bit fishy.... no, sneaky. Well, no matter. He could always scare the heck out of someone for kicks just by looking at them with his sharingan. The imminent problem right now was his hair. How was he going to get it in order? He decided to raid the bathroom drawers for useful items. He found a comb (didn't work) and a hairdryer (useless). No gel? hmmmm.... that was a problem. Takazashi went out to get some. The cash register lady at the general store gave him a hard time over some pricing scam that they wanted to play on him. He went home to slick his hair down, when he was shocked by just exactly how weak of a ninja he was. He was so ridiculously scrawny. He should probably go down and do some intense training to boost his self-esteem. As he walked by the various houses, neighborhoods, and districts of his village, he was surprised at how decrepit his part of the village was. The kage would have to do something about the quality of life here, seeing as it was almost non-existent. He kept going, passing into the industrial sector. Here, at least, people were doing something of use. These production facilities would keep the village going long after other economies had failed. Kaenjin frowned. Wouldn't that mean that all the other villages would come to depend on Kumo? Or.... that the other village would possible attack Kumo? He wiped these disturbing premonitions from his mind and designated them as "non-optimistic". Everything would be fine; the hokage (also an Uchiha) would take care of things. What Takazashi thought interesting was the fact that he was finally moving into the center of town. He remembered not to look at the mission assignment building, he didn't want to go there today. Instead, he took a quick jog out to an empty training ground. The day was actually quite clear, and the ground itself was not in line of sight to the mission building. That meant that he would have a nice, relaxed training day. He went in to the old ground and saw some other dude there who looked like he had had several bad days in a row. He felt sorry for the guy, and went up to ask him, “Hey, are ya here to train?” He hoped that he could have a partner to train with. After all, as a great man once said, “It’s always more fun with two.” Disturbing thoughts began to enter Kaenjin’s mind. That could mean a lot of things….. he threw these perverted premonitions from his head and began to think about positive things, like working out, and taking showers, and….. oh never mind. As he asked the question of the other boy, he activated his sharingan. Immediately, he could see the boy’s chakra, which was something he was getting used to with this new eye power. Takazashi waited for the other guy’s response.

Just as Vitus was about to begin, some random kid (or so he thought) walked in to the training ground, with a jaunty step and smiling face. Vitus disliked the smiling face, but saw that this was indeed a ninja of Kumo, which meant that this boy was a potential ally. The kid came up and asked him, ““Hey, are ya here to train?” Vitus responded in a cautious voice. “Yes, I am here to train. By the way, I am Vitus, and I hate contractions. I only use them in the utmost expediency. Did you want to train with me? It would probably be to our benefit.” Vitus then saw that his guy had the sharingan! It was only in its first form, but it might present somewhat of a challenge. That was good, it was finally time to test his new jutsu. He waited impatiently for the other boy to say “yes” or “no”.

The other guy sounded rather apprehensive. He said, “Yes, I am here to train. By the way, I am Vitus, and I hate contractions. I only use them in the utmost expediency. Did you want to train with me? It would probably be to our benefit.” Vitus… what an odd name. Anyway, this guy looked strong. Kaenjin was hoping to get a real kick out of this one. “I’m Takazashi Uchiha, but everyone calls me Kaenjin for no apparent reason. It means “return”, so I guess I’m the “return of the Uchiha”. And why do you hate contractions? They’re pretty nice in terms of talking really fast like I am right now. Anyways, my answer is ‘yes’, I need the training rather badly. So, where should we start? Maybe with a short spar? That would definitely help us, I think.” Kaenjin was very excited that he finally had someone his own level to spar with. He waited apprehensively for his partner’s response.

The Uchiha kid responded to Vitus. He said, “I’m Takazashi Uchiha, but everyone calls me Kaenjin for no apparent reason. It means “return”, so I guess I’m the “return of the Uchiha”. And why do you hate contractions? They’re pretty nice in terms of talking really fast like I am right now. Anyways, my answer is ‘yes’, I need the training rather badly. So, where should we start? Maybe with a short spar? That would definitely help us, I think.” Such a flow of words from such a small child was quite surprising, but Vitus didn’t show it. He wanted to show this Uchiha clan member that he was not exactly the most superior person in the world. Vitus said, “Oh, alright. A spar sounds great. Lets begin…. Now. He launched himself as Takazashi. If the attack connected correctly, Vitus’s arm would collide with Takazashi’s forehead, unbalancing and surprising his opponent. However, he had to watch out for the sharingan as it could be difficult to counter.

Kaenjin could see that Vitus had finally got in the game. Vitus said, “Oh, alright. A spar sounds great. Lets begin…. Now.” Then he leapt at Takazashi. This guy was fast, but Kaenjin was just a little bit faster. He just managed to duck out of the way as Vitus’ fist passed just over where his forehead used to be. Then, he jabbed upwards into Vitus’ abdomen in order to knock the breath out of his opponent. That would allow him to claim victory and knock out Vitus.

Vitus missed as his fist went sailing over Takazashi’s head. The Uchiha then proceeded to counter his attack with a counterattack. By using his fist, he aimed for Vitus’ abdomen. This meant that he was probably trying to incapacitate Vitus. Quickly, Vitus made the hand seals for Earth Spear and hardened his torso. He knew that Earth Spear only lasted for a certain amount of time, so he had to make the most of this. He slammed his elbow down on Takazashi’s back, pinning him to the floor. He would then proceed to ask his defeated opponent to yield. By doing so, he would have claimed victory in this spar. He hoped he hadn’t made the Uchiha angry or sad, it was said that negative emotions made uchihas stronger.

The moment Kaenjin’s fist collided with Vitus stomach, he realized he had made a drastic mistake. He remembered those handseals that Vitus had just woven mid-combat and realized that it must have been some sort of defensive jutsu, as he saw the chakra in Vitus’ body shift outwards slightly. Indeed, Vitus’ abs were rock-hard… literally! Like diamond. The next the he knew, he was being crushed to the dirt by Vitus’ downward elbow. The pain removed the stopper to his negative thoughts. In the next moment, he realized that his most dreaded thoughts were flooding into his brain! He didn’t want to be pessimistic…. He wanted to be optimistic! “Happy thoughts” he told himself, but it didn’t work. He could only think “failure” and “incompetence”. Would Vitus kill him? Would he die in a most shameful manner, not on the battlefield, but in a training session? By a mere gennin? NO! Kaenjin tried to struggle up, but Vitus was very, very strong, apparently strong enough to keep him pinned to the cold ground. Despair filled him, and he said, “Urg. I guess I have to yield.” This was said in a much less optimistic tone than before. His confidence was now broken and despair was welling up within his heart.

Suddenly, Vitus’ sadistic instincts took over. He kept the Uchiha child pinned down on the ground for no particular reason at all. Perhaps it was because he had no regard for what happened next. After all, it was just too bad that the Uchiha was sad. Vitus was finally beating someone! His victory was perfect! This was a great moment in his lifetime; his first opponent defeated in ignominy! Vitus heard Takazashi groan slightly, then whine, “Urg. I guess I have to yield.” Vitus responded sadistically. “Of course you yield. None can match the Earth Spear, especially weak Uchihas like you. Only sad little boys would be stuck here, moaning and groaning and pleading for a yield. Very well, you can yield…” Vitus pressed down a little harder. “But I WON’T LET YOU GO! I AM ENJOYING THIS LIKE HELL! I CAN’T BELIEVE HOW EASY FIGHTING AN UCHIHA WAS! AND, I’M USING CONTRACTIONS! THIS IS A UNIQUE DAY! SOMEHTING AMAZING!” He yelled, and laughed. He wouldn’t kill the boy, that would be going to far, but he would humiliate him by keeping him here. He was sure that this boy would come back to take vengeance on him later, but for now, he was quite safe in just beating him up.

Takazashi was hoping the Vitus would be nice and let him up, but no such luck. Apparently, Vitus was not the agreeable kid he thought him in the first place. As a matter of fact, he probably had some sort of psychological problem. Takazashi’s last hope was crushed as Vitus screamed to the skies, “Of course you yield. None can match the Earth Spear, especially weak Uchihas like you. Only sad little boys would be stuck here, moaning and groaning and pleading for a yield. Very well, you can yield…” Vitus pressed down a little harder. “But I WON’T LET YOU GO! I AM ENJOYING THIS LIKE HELL! I CAN’T BELIEVE HOW EASY FIGHTING AN UCHIHA WAS! AND, I’M USING CONTRACTIONS! THIS IS A UNIQUE DAY! SOMEHTING AMAZING!” He yelled, and laughed. Well, that was disappointing. Kaenjin could never defeat his opponent. Hopelessness overcame him. All of a sudden, he felt a new power in his eyes. He didn’t know what it was, but it came with a new flash of inspiration. Shunshin no jutsu was the answer! He made the handseal and zipped out from under Vitus’ arm. He ran quickly out of the grounds and back to his apartment, where he rested, recovering from his aches. When he finally got up, he took a quick shower. Then, he looked in the mirror and guess what he saw? Instead of one tomoe, he saw two. He smiled. His optimism was still there, but he now had a little taste of reality, and the strength of other ninja. That meant that he had to get stronger.
