Iron Country Kanabō

Name: Iron Country Kanabō | Tetsu no Kuni no Kanabō (鉄の国の金棒).
Appearance: A steel war club roughly 150cm long, bearing evenly-spaced studs (or spikes) along half its length. At the opposing end, it culminates in an iron ring with a diameter of 20cm. The handle exhibits a gentle taper, measuring 3cm in thickness at the grip and expanding to 4cm at its widest point.


Backstory: The Iron Country Kanabō bears witness to a storied past closely intertwined with the traditions of samurai warfare. Symbolizing strength and embodying the imposing nature of its users, this weapon has, through the annals of time, become more than just a tool for combat—it's a cultural icon. Its weight and relentless design have earned it an association with Oni, known for its fearsome demeanor. As samurai warriors brandished the Kanabō in the service of their lords, it carved its niche as a symbol of authority and raw power on the battlefield.

Trait: Head Smasher - Upon the Kanabō's impact at the end of its held swing, it induces a disorienting effect onto the target, forcing them to drop all their held equipment and rendering them unable to cast jutsu using handseals. The duration lasts from the post the target was hit to their next reply. This can't stack with other disorientation effects.

However, for this effect to occur, the user must successfully inflict damage to the target; if the Kanabō strikes a barrier or armor surrounding the target without penetrating it, the disorientation effect doesn't occur. With one exception when it comes to armor: if the Kanabō directly hits the target in the head, the effect triggers without the need to surpass the armor. This makes the weapon a formidable tool on the battlefield.
