Disturbance In The Force [Village Exit]

Gin Akimichi, Chunnin of Kumogakure.

Posted up at the gates, he received word from passing travellers entering a village of an unknown giant of a human seen within the likes of the borders. Handing command of the gates over to the Watch Commander, Gin made his way to the borders, armed to the teeth, his Jagged Claw MK 2 already in his clutches as he made his way to the borders.

It had been a new day, which meant a new assignment for Lucian. For the last few weeks he had been relatively light on missions, and so he had been reserved to conduct patrols around the sector of the village closest to its entrance. For these few weeks he had gotten intimately familiar with all of the alleys, rooftops, and crevices that others may have never noticed. And although he had been coming to enjoy the patrols and the faces he had come across, the task became rather monotonous. And so words could not describe the relief he felt when his superiors informed him that his patrol duty had been reassigned to some other genin. For the moment, his eyes lit up slightly. This would certainly mean that he'd be granted a new opportunity to showcase his ability. But what would it be? Guard duty at the village gates. Although it wasn't a high profile mission, at least it was different. And of course, the young and eager genin was still very much excited to be faced with the challenges that came with it.

Upon arrival at the gates, Lucian would proceed towards the vacant guardhouses. Across from him and in the other, Lucian would notice two other shinobi manning it. He did not recognize them from this distance, and truthfully he wouldn't even if he were up close and personal. As an unseasoned genin, Lucian's interaction with higher ranked and higher profile shinobi of the village had been very minimal. And so he wouldn't even recognize the rather heavier set shinobi exiting from the opposite guardhouse. He left behind another, who Lucian later found out was the Watch Commander. But for the time being, Lucian would simply watch the other guard set off from his post and make his way to the Sky Bridge. Though the young shinobi had a brief moment of concern, he'd disregard it as the departing shinobi likely had approval to travel, maybe even from the Watch Commander.

Lucian would offer a brief, transient wave and then returned to his duty of monitoring the other civilians who were lined up to enter and exit the gates.
