As the conversations at the table full of Genin drew on around him, Kaito felt very happy with this turnout. All of the village's Genin being able to come together as one big group and be civil with each other, despite the looming of the Chunin Selection Exams inching closer and closer with each passing moment.

He knew, as per the trading of the previous Chunin Selection Exams, that they would all be faced to fight one another sometime during the event. He didn't know the identifmtybof whom he would fight, nor in what context the fight would be had, but he was ready.

He would make a point to not hold back in the slightest, for should his opponent be any of the Genin who had trained under him in the time leading up to this moment, then he would not do them justice. They were all strong in their own rights, and he expected only the same of them in return; the guts to never back down and to show off their true strength.

Kaito would sit back down at the table, still feeling rather silly and embarrassed of his previous debacle. He made a point of subtly leaning in towards Sumiko and speaking in a mere whisper.

"I'm terribly sorry about that." He said. "It won't happen again. Promise."

After that, he would return to a relaxed position and eat what he had put upon his plate. He would keep joyful conversations with all of the Genin, the majority of whom he could call more than just comrades in arms.

They were his friends. No. They were as good as family to the Inuzuka.

A short while later, with a stuffed belly, Kaito would decide to call it a day. He had to go home and help his father in the kennels, after all. Standing up from his seat, he would give a grand smile to everyone.

"Well, it really was nice getting the opportunity to hang out with all of you, and to meet some new faces as well. I hope that we can all come together like this again after the exams end. In the meantime, though, I've got to head on home. I'll see y'all later."

With that, Kaito would take his leave from the table and restaurant and head back to spend time with his father during their duties.

Yusuke gave his toast regardless of the reception. The Sarutobi ate his fill and slipped out right behind Kaito. He needed to get ready for the chunin exams.

Hinoishi wanted to stay and chat with he rest of the genin but he had to go. He ate his fill and followed Kaito and yusuke out the door. As he got up from his chair he said this, "Well, I'd love to sit and chat some more but I've got some important business to attend to and it can't be helped, I'll be off". Hinoishi then walks out of the restaurant.

Kin would grow quite bored of the celebration, and rather quickly at that. What was expected to be a lively bunch, was actually filled with relative silence. A few people spoke up, one in particular being another shinobi who had introduced themselves as Kaito Inuzuka. Red markings shaped like a fang almost adorned their cheeks, with similarly colored hair, just a bit darker in it’s tone for the latter shade; much more of an auburn-ish red almost. A smile would be offered to the fellow Suna nin, keeping his exterior composure looking somewhat enthused by this gathering. ”Ah, my mistake and I do offer my apologies for the assumption. It’s nice to meet you, and I just started my path not too long ago. Have always grown up here, just never really one for…big establishments to say the least.” Irony had been lying abound within that last statement alone. Being one from a family such as the Akiyama, there was a certain degree of needing the previously mentioned establishment to be existent. The family was nothing without Suna in that regards. But none of this was mentioned out loud.

One of the other nearby shinobi would speak shortly after the first made his introduction. The surname of this one had stuck out, as it would seem that the one named Yusuke was of the same clan as Kin was. Denoting this small factoid with a smirk, he’d reply back to the man ”Well it would seem we are of the same lineage then, Yusuke Sarutobi. The Akiyama is a sub-sect of that clan, more specifically people along the Earthen Path.” He’d say while skimming over the nailbeds on both of his hands. The information brought forth wasn’t mind blowing by any means, but it would offer some form of connection to at least one of the other people currently here. Which was always better than nothing at the end of the day.

As things had begun to seemingly proceed to wind down here at the barbecue restaurant, the braided adult would know that the time here was coming to a close. Looking over all of the others, he’d offer everyone a ”Well, until next time.”, even to those who didn’t verbally speak to him.

Much like everyone else Naki too had to leave after going about having a toast with everyone and enjoying their quick time together he would pay for his end and started to go. It was nice have met the other Genin in the village Naki would gather up all he wanted to spend longer with everyone but he, much like Hinoishi, has things he needs to do. "It was a pleasure to meet you all and I hope after everything is over. Until we meet again." Naki said as he grabbed any leftover food he ordered and made his way out the door and towards his home.

It seemed as though everyone had at least a pretty good time while inside of the amazing smelling BBQ place. The harmony of everyone’s voices ringing out of the restaurant. Karo mainly stuck to the group that had been established. Not really putting himself out there besides a few stray comments here or there that gave way to a few nameless chuckles from across the room. Yet it felt oh so nice to simply be here, the warmth, the lights, the dazzling showing of everyone around him as they all drank and laughed their lives away inside of this one small place. Maybe he should have said something more to everyone, maybe he could have been more vocal towards others in particular. But for right now it felt safe to simply be with everyone around him. The cozyness is like that of a small little fire out in the woods with a big group of friends. It had been such a long time since he actually saw that of wood. The way everyone simply talked on and on was alluring to him, it felt just like that of a group of friends. Nothing like the bloodthirsty depiction of shinobi. Who knows, maybe some of them were, but were just good enough at hiding it. Some probably genuinely cared about one another, Karo had not but an inkling of an idea as to who or what kind of people around him were. But it all felt just so flame-like to be around. Everyone was like a dazzling flame to him, from Yusuke to Hinoishi to even that of Kin and Kaito. They all seemed so comfy to be in the village, maybe he felt like he was missing a key detail, not everyone’s lives were good, and probably some of their lives right now are god awful.

Yet he could always at least count on them, as they were a new kind of group within the walls of Sunagakure. “Out with the old and in with the new” they say. They were the new bloods, yet it felt like some of them had already seen through some form of combat before this. But it was for that very reason that Kaor felt comfort. That these shinobi knew how to fight, and that meant he could learn how to fight. So that’s what he took away from this little meeting, that everyone here can certainly begin to fight.
