Nature's Pastime

Looks like changing locations after every catch was the right thing to do for Shin because he watched his line bob and jump as he pulled on his rod snagging whatever creature was on the other end. Though compared to his last catch he could tell this one was smaller though it put up just as much of a fight. Once Shin was able to get it out of the water it was a beautiful shade of blue that really would hide it well in deep water he remembered this fish from an old book he read years ago.

“I can’t believe I caught a Dark-Night Avenger.” Shin said outloud laughing as the fish was known to be a bit hostile to others as it swam through the deeper waters. Taking out its prey quickly and hiding away to eat as if it was some avenger in the night. “The jokes people would make about those who could swim well growing up all because of you were numerous.” Shin laughed as he tossed the angry fish back into the ocean and packed up his things once more moving a bit closer to where the main group was so that he didn’t have to travel as far when it came time for him to throw in the towel which seemed to be coming soon depending on his next couple of casts.
 
Finding a suitable place to cast from he nodded at the nearby fishermen and launched his hook out into the deep blue.

Not to surprisingly moving closer to the main group of the tournament seemed like the bad choice to make for the young man as he reeled in his line to find his bait gone once more he looked at the nearby fishermen as they gave him a mutual shake of their heads as if to say “It Is what it is.” Shin smiled and mimicked their motions feeling the same way but was determined to give it one more attempt before heading over to turn in his captured fish and heading home for the night. Shin wasn’t even sure what the prizes were from winning the tournament he had just assumed that it would be something he would like or want like food or money for food and training supplies.
 
After finding a good stance once more to toss his line and making sure he didn’t snag anyone nearby he grabbed the last of his bait and carefully and thoroughly put it on the hook making sure it all stand on no matter how much he jiggled the line testing how well it was put on. The hook was barely seen under all the bait that Shin had put on it but that didn’t deter the young Uchiha and he smiled at the wiggling mass on the end of his line. “Listen here you guys either you get a good catch or you find the future good catch.” He said as he smiled and reached back with his rod in hand and launched his hook deep into the distance.

Old Man Lionfish

Feeling a snag and grabbing his rod tightly Shin begun the age old battle of human versus fish and pulled the rod with his whole body reeling and turning the rod to go opposite of the fish letting the fish fight against his pull only to let the line out and bring it back in as the fish on the other end grew tired by the moment as the fight finally ended with Shin victorious against the water breathing beast. Pulling the fish out of the water it was much bigger then the Wave Chasing Fish he had caught earlier and while he loved how the other fish looked he released it to make room for this monster of a fish he had been able to get.

The nearby fishermen came over to inspect the fish and one of them pointed out Shin had caught an Old Man Lionfish and went into depth about the history and legends around the fish which was a good listening to though the night was coming to an end and it was time for Shin to head home but first he gathered his things gave his respect to the elders around him and headed off to the officials of the tournament to have his fish officially weighed and ranked. They told him he would find out the results the next day so he was all set to head on home which he made that trek happy to have caught a pretty hefty fish coming in at sixteen pounds and one ounce.
