Kaiya heard about a fishing tournament in town and was curious about the whole idea of fishing. She was never allowed to do anything like this when she was in the sad flutes clan, Fun was never really their thing. She would go to the ocean and try to just rent a fishing pole and got some bait to put on the hook. She would walk down to the docks and see a sign that read 69th annual fishing tournament. She would walk up to an older gentleman and ask “Hello sir, any advice for a newbie fisher lady.” The gentleman would answer her in a sweet and mild manor way saying “Well put the hook in the water and wait and see if you get a bite. Then reel the little bugger in.” She would reply and bat her eyes “what is the best way to attach the bait do you mind showing me once.” So the older gentleman would walk over saying “ok there is a universal rule though. I will bait the hook 1 time then you are by yourself. So you want to just thread the hook through the body here and make sure that it will not fall off.” After attaching the minnow he would say “go ahead, cast over that way to make sure you do not cross my line.” So she would cast her line towards a rocky outcropping and wait for a bite to find out what it is she might have caught.
