The mission of the day called for something that really stood out to Crom as he liked to read and study already. The mission called for those who undertook it to truly come to learn and understand the village in some shape or form that much deeper. After his day of shadowing the Queensman Crom’s interest in various other elements of the village grew so this was the perfect mission for the young man. He was tasked with researching something about the village that fell under these three areas, historical, cultural, or architectural. With so many things to choose from the interaction with the Queensman made Crom want to study the current Shinobi force. The Nova Corps, the Hoshigakure’s own version of the ANBU from Konoha.

Crom put his nose deep into a pile of books of all the information he could find at the library and complied a variety of information on the Nova Corps all these things were open to the public so he wasn’t going to find any deep secrets of the Corps and he had no time to find an actual member. So he continued his research, to which he learned that the current Kage of the village was once the Commander of the Nova Corps prior to his rise to Kage. It seemed that when selecting a new Kage it would be from the pool of Nova members and the decision was made with the Red Council which was the more government proper side of the village.

The Nova corps seemed to handle both the secret and public missions in general as long as it had something to do with the greater good of the village it didn’t matter if they moved in sight or in shadow. The uniform of the Nova were also very different from what you would expect from a secret task force as they wore pure white cloaks over their typical clothing and the symbol was a white shield. It was like saying we are here and you know who we are and we don’t care. It was a boldness that spoke volumes on how the Nova worked. A symbol that recognizable to the public as a shield against those who would do harm to them and easy to identify members within the village. Crom never really gave much thought about the Nova while growing up as he simply liked to read and interacting with people just wasn’t his forte.

He would be lying if he said he wouldn’t be interested in joining that force but it was something that would require much more work and thought as if he joined such a force he would need the skills, abilities and experience to do so and also get more use to working with others as he doubted they would allow him to go solo on everything. Regardless of future what ifs Crom was more then satisfied with his research on the history and culture of the Nova Corps and what they brought to the Village so he went back to the building with the mission board and presented his findings and gave his own speech and presentation to show he grew a deeper understanding of the village as a whole. The instructors were satisfied with his work and approved.

Approved
