Clan, Clanless & Bloodlines Guide BwCd7Ty

Clans, Clanless and Bloodlines

In NRPG, you can choose from various clans and bloodlines for your character. These clans offer unique benefits and abilities that greatly enhance your character's capabilities. There are quite a few differences between clanless and clan-based characters, so this section has been set up to make it much easier to determine what differentiates the two groups.

Clans in NRPG represent famous families with unique skills and techniques. When you choose to be born into a clan, your character gains access to specific benefits listed on the clan's application page.

Clanned characters within our system can begin with a bloodline, representing unique innate abilities or traits inherited from birth. These bloodlines, whether inherent or acquired through transplantation, offer diverse benefits, ranging from enhanced physical strength to elemental manipulation and special techniques.

Clan Characters operate within specific limitations and advantages to maintain balance and ensure fair gameplay. They adhere to a maximum stat cap of 300. Within this cap, they can allocate a maximum of 150 stats in each field (Vigor, Chakra, Speed, Strength). Clan characters are granted 5 skill slots to enhance their abilities further.

In terms of specialization, Clan Characters can choose up to 3 specialties and are allowed to learn C-rank jutsu in other fields. This specialization progression unfolds gradually, with the first specialty earned at D-rank, followed by the second at C-rank, and the third at B-rank.

An exclusive feature for Clan Characters involves access to Slotless S-rank techniques linked to their natural bloodline. They can learn one such technique at C-rank and another at A-rank. These potent abilities, specific to their bloodline, distinguish Clan Characters, and importantly, they do not occupy regular S-rank jutsu slots.

Clan Specialty: A clan's specialty embodies the shared upbringing and training passed down through generations, influencing a clanned character's innate abilities. Those born into a clan automatically gain access to their specialty, enabling them to learn up to A-rank jutsu within that field, regardless of their specialization. Opting to specialize in the clan's specialty offers an additional perk — at B-rank, they unlock an extra Slotless S-rank technique aligned with the clan specialty. This unique feature emphasizes the significance of a character's clan heritage and provides them with distinctive advantages as they progress in their ninja journey.

Individuals embracing the solitary path of a ninja without clan affiliation are known as Clanless Characters. They embark on their journey as blank slates, devoid of innate bloodlines or unique clan techniques. The rules and guidelines for these characters in NRPG ensure a fair and consistent experience:

Adhering to a maximum stat cap of 300, Clanless Characters are restricted in their primary stats (Vigor, Chakra, Speed, Strength), with the ability to allocate up to 150 stats in each main stat field.

They can acquire up to three specialties, starting with their first specialty earned for free at D-rank. In a departure from Clanned characters, the second specialty is learned at D-rank, and the third can be obtained at C-rank.

For diversification, Clanless Characters can learn up to B-rank jutsu in fields outside their specialties, expanding their jutsu repertoire beyond their chosen specialties.

They possess seven skill slots to enhance their capabilities, providing opportunities to learn and utilize various non-combat abilities and techniques.

Clanless Characters can acquire four Slotless S-rank techniques as they progress in power. They receive one at C-rank, another at B-rank, and two more at A-rank. These potent techniques do not occupy an S-rank jutsu slot and remain unalterable once acquired.

Clans Discovery: Pure Clanless Characters have the chance to stumble upon a clan during their early ninja journey, a discovery that must occur before reaching B-rank. This exploration requires a dedicated word count of 2,000, excluding other claims like stat increases. The discovery encompasses clans with bloodline limits or hidden techniques, adding an intriguing layer to the progression of Clanless Characters.

Hiden Clans are unique groups of individuals who possess a particular library of Secret Techniques. Unlike regular clans, Hiden Clans are more akin to Clanless characters, as they have access to secret techniques but do not benefit from a traditional clan specialty. Hiden Clans are known for their esoteric techniques that are closely guarded and passed down through generations within the clan.

Members of Hiden Clans can learn these secretive techniques either by being born into the clan or by being taught by someone who already possesses the knowledge. Some examples of Hiden Clans include the Nara, Yamanaka, Akimichi, Aburame, and Inuzuka clans. These clans have unique abilities and techniques that set them apart from regular shinobi.

In NRPG, members of Hiden Clans enjoy the advantages and freedom of Clanless characters, allowing them to explore their unique abilities without being restricted by traditional clan affiliations. However, unlike the true clanless, they get six skill slots instead of seven. Additionally, Hiden Clans are the only ones allowed to utilize the Companion System, enabling them to form special bonds with animal companions, as seen in the Inuzuka clan.

Clan, Clanless & Bloodlines Guide Tumblr_lv0rqzn8hJ1qmmhnro1_500

In NRPG, certain clans possess bloodlines that grant special abilities or attributes, typically hereditary and passed down through generations within the clan. These bloodlines are intrinsic to the clan members' DNA or birth, and they set these clans apart from others—bloodlines cannot be merged through offspringThese clans offer unique benefits and abilities that significantly enhance your character's capabilities.

Moreover, members of notable clans with unique bloodlines can get access to unique techniques. However, they cannot teach their specific techniques to other characters unless they are members of that particular clan who have awakened the bloodline. This ensures that these bloodlines' exclusive and exceptional nature remains intact and that not just anyone can access their powerful abilities.

Here's a breakdown of the difference between the bloodlines abilities of a clan.

Body Bloodline: These bloodlines can be inherent in all clan members and cost no word count to awaken. These unique traits might grant clan members exceptional physical abilities, sensory perception, or other extraordinary attributes that give them a significant advantage in combat and other situations. These bloodlines even give them physical traits that set them apart from other individuals.

Dojutsu is a by-product of specific bloodlines that occurs exclusively in clan members' eyes. Typically, Dojutsu provides the user with enhanced sight and chakra vision, but the possibilities for their abilities are vast and diverse. However, that weakens their body bloodline, granting the clan user only the substat boost and very little beyond that.

Dojutsu costs 2,000 words to awaken. Dojutsu with multiple stages will also cost 2,000 words to awaken, with an increasing cost for each subsequent stage of 2,000 - Stage 2: 4,000. Stage 3: 6,000. Stage 4 8,000. A character cannot teach another character a dojutsu stage and train them with a discount.

Other Features: Some clans may have unique features, such as advanced elemental affinities or specialized fighting styles. It's essential to note that a clan typically possesses one of these features. Members of clans in NRPG specializing in Taijutsu or Bukijutsu gain the Clan Exclusive Fighting Style as a slotless skill, exempt from counting against their skill slots. Nevertheless, they are still required to pay the designated word count to learn this skill, and it is not provided free of charge.

In the ninja world, even the most guarded and secretive clan abilities are not entirely safe from being accessed or stolen by others. DNA transplants are the characters' most common methods to access a clan's unique features. DNA transplantation involves taking a portion of genetic material, usually an organ, from a clanned ninja and transplanting it into the body of another ninja. The recipient gains access to some or all of the abilities and techniques associated with the transplanted DNA.

However, it's important to note that DNA transplantation is not easy and requires considerable skill and expertise in Iryojutsu (medical ninjutsu). Moreover, characters attempting DNA transplantation must also have in-character knowledge about the power of transplants and the specific clan abilities they seek to obtain. Typically, Chakra Scalpel is used for characters to transplant without worry properly and Mystical Palm to heal the wound. Of course, you're not limited to these options.

  • Bloodlines are generally considered viable for transplants unless expressly stated otherwise in the creation.

  • On your stat page, it's necessary to note which organs/limbs are foreign and transplanted for bloodlines.

  • Success Rate: All transplants have a 100% success rate, meaning they will be successful without any risk of failure.

  • Limitations on Organ Transplants: Characters can use up to five organs for transplants, aside from dojutsu. For example, they can transplant two kidneys, one liver, and two lungs.

  • Training Bloodlines: When characters obtain a bloodline through a transplant, they must spend 2,000 words training and adjusting to it before they can use any jutsu associated with it. This includes Dojutsu and their inherent abilities if someone gains power. The word count cost for the bloodline adjustment is discounted by max stat discounts but not by training discounts.

  • Bloodline Slots: A clanned character can have a maximum of four bloodlines in their body at a time. Clanless characters may have up to three bloodlines at any time. Dojutsu does not take up bloodline slots of a character since they are hosted in their eye sockets. However, a ninja is always limited to two dojutsu at a time, which can never be increased through Iryojutsu, technology, or otherwise.

  • Characters who receive transplants do not benefit from the Clan Specialty of the transplanted bloodlines.

Choosing for Your Character: When selecting a clan or bloodline for your character, consider their background, personality, and role in the world. Think about how the abilities offered by the clan or bloodline align with your character's goals and motivations. Whether you want your character to be part of a prestigious clan or possess a rare bloodline, ensure it fits well with your character's overall story and development.

Remember that joining a clan or obtaining a bloodline can significantly impact your character's growth and capabilities throughout their journey in NRPG. Choose wisely and have fun exploring these options' unique abilities and possibilities!
