Dome Patrol [Mission/Enrai] Empty Dome Patrol [Mission/Enrai]

Sat Jul 31, 2021 8:43 pm
Patrol the Dome

Blair got off the chair he'd been sitting at and did a stretch that wasn't unlike that of a cat's. He didn't have any bones to crack into place by such a maneuver so a lot of the satisfaction was lost. The threads inside of him tended to get a bit stiff after sitting still for so long so, so stretching them out was a necessity. He left the payment for the delicious breakfast he'd just gotten to enjoy and left a generous tip, giving the waiter who'd served him a small wink.

Blair sauntered out of the restaurant and began his walk through the streets of Sunagakure towards the mission board; that breakfast, while delicious, had left a rather large hole in his pocket. The Tau was dressed in an open maroon shirt, black shorts, and sandals. The red stitching all along his chest drew several curious stares from the denizens of Sunagakure but Blair paid them literally no heed. The boy was far too confident in his own skin to allow the judging stares of others to affect him in the slightest.

Blair arrived at the mission board and frowned when it appeared to be rather barren today. What little there was seemed to all be a little too hot to handle for someone like Blair who had only been doing this 'ninja' thing for like a month. There was one mission that seemed simple enough, though, and that was the one that required him to patrol the dome around Sunagakure for any faults. The village was pretty big, though, and Blair thought it was far too much effort to do by himself. With this in mind, he found a bench nearby to the mission board, and sat and waited to see if there was anyone else who might be interested in it.

Dome Patrol [Mission/Enrai] Empty Re: Dome Patrol [Mission/Enrai]

Sun Aug 01, 2021 5:34 am
Enrai was wandering around, and he was in need of some money. His recent purchase regarding the strange man known as Kenshin that stayed in the hospital and did some strange things regarding the transplanting of organs. Enrai had learned that certain body parts could be taken in by people in a medical procedure that allowed them to use their particular skills and abilities. This was pretty crazy of a thing to learn, especially because Enrai was still working on getting used to a big city filled with shinobi around every corner, as he was simply a country bumpkin before this, and one of the first pieces of information he had learned was that he could steal peoples’ organs for more power. No wonder he sat in the hospital all day and sold organs to people, he was making a killing in ryo, and Enrai felt like he should look into it later.

Currently, Enrai was walking over to the mission board, seeing if he could be hired help to people of the village, as he wanted some money, but was only allowed to be taken by the people of the village, he could not start the missions by himself, at least not without some sort of permission from the higher ups in the village, which he had no idea how to get, as he could not even meet them, let alone do something that would make them consider letting him do missions for them on his own. Still, there were a couple of people at the mission board, and so he would walk around looking for people who might want his help. After a little while, Enrai saw that there was a person that was sitting down and waiting next to the mission board, as if waiting for someone, but what caught Enrai’s attention was the stitches the man had.

Feeling that they were quite similar, Enrai walked up to him and struck up a conversation. “Hey man, nice stitches!” Enrai would say, pointing to his own face, showing off that he had some large black stitches on him as well, although the man’s looked a bit more interesting with their different color. Enrai chuckled and smiled at the man, before continuing. “Hello, my name’s Enrai, howsit goin’? Any chance you might be looking for a mission partner?” Enrai tried to be polite, and was hoping this person’s personality was better than some of the other people he had met in the village, and that he would actually need or want some company to complete the missions. Enrai needed more money as it stood currently.

Dome Patrol [Mission/Enrai] Empty Re: Dome Patrol [Mission/Enrai]

Sun Aug 01, 2021 7:37 pm
Ah, perfect! It appeared that his plan had worked. When the man approached Blair, he would leap up off the bench and give the man a big smile. He so desperately wanted to offer the man a polite handshake as a greeting but the Kazekage's words once again rang in his mind. He felt awkward, just standing there without doing anything with his hands. He shoved said hands into his pockets, only for them to come out a moment later as he got all excited about the man complimenting his stitches. No one had ever complimented him on his stitches before, despite all the hard work he had put into them.

"Hey, thanks! I did them myself." Blair said exuberantly. He liked this guy already, Blair decided. He also had stitches like Blair so he had to be awesome as well. "Hey Enrai, I'm Blair! It's going great and yes, I am looking for a mission partner." He spoke fast, like he was trying to get all his words out in a single breath. He was excited to meet someone who appeared to have inherited the same brand of weirdness as him, but not overwhelmingly so like he'd always thought he would. It was just comforting to know he wasn't wholly alone in having the weird affliction that he had yet to know much about.

He walked up to the mission board and pulled the one he'd been eyeing earlier off, happy to see that it hadn't been taken while he was waiting for a partner to show up. Wherever Enrai was, Blair would approach him and hand the Dome Patrol mission slip to him. "Fancy doing this? Should be simple enough."

Dome Patrol [Mission/Enrai] Empty Re: Dome Patrol [Mission/Enrai]

Sun Aug 01, 2021 11:25 pm
As Enrai walked up to the person, it seemed that he had been waiting for someone… anyone to actually come over tyo him so that he could rope them into a mission with him, as he seemed really excited at the prospect. The man thanked Enrai for his compliment on his stitches, before introducing himself as Blair, and said that he was indeed looking for a partner that could go on a mission or two with him. He had a bit of a fast paced speech thing going on for a bit, as if he was far too excited about what he was saying, but Enrai did not mind this one bit, and simply gave back a big grin. “Sure, I’d love to help out, I was just looking for someone who wouldn’t mind taking me on a mission here while I was visiting.” Enrai said, as he started walking with the young man towards the mission board.

Enrai watched as the young man grabbed one of the mission slips off of the board, before coming over and showing it to Enrai, asking if he would be willing to do this, making it known that it seemed really simple. Enrai took it from the man and started reading it. Apparently it was a simple mission to go around the dome that was protecting the village, and make sure that any strange things were looked into and logged. Luckily, anything that was actually suspicious did not need them to go and inspect anything, simply needed to log it in some sort of clipboard or something and then come back and tell the administration office when they had made a complete rotation around the dome. “Alright, this sounds good, let’s start now.”

He would then start walking directly to the dome of the village, so that they could start on the mission. As they were walking around the dome, there weren’t many things to report, at least not now, but so far Enrai had only seen some graffiti near the dome on the southwest side, where they started, so there was so far nothing to report, although he would write down where the graffiti was and continued. It seemed pretty boring if pretty simple. “Well, this is simple, but also pretty boring. Do you have any plans for what sort of abilities you’re going for as a ninja? Personally, I’m devoting myself to Earth release mastery.” Enrai asked, as he wanted to make some small talk with the person he was hanging out with.

Dome Patrol [Mission/Enrai] Empty Re: Dome Patrol [Mission/Enrai]

Mon Aug 02, 2021 1:06 am
The rather imposing form of Shin could be seen walking through the streets of Sunagakure with an easy grin splitting his scarred lips, the young man content from a good night's sleep and a nice light breakfast to start the day. He was currently making his way towards the public mission board in the hopes of finding an easy yet well paying mission, but really, he was bored enough to accept nearly anything at this point. As per usual his Byakugan was active without anyone being any the wiser, and as such he could see the people that were crowding around the boards. Nobody he knew or cared to work with, and with a small sigh he would consign himself to a rather boring day of solo missions… but as he got within 50m he would spot a familiar face. Enrai, his partner for a few lower ranked missions within the village now, and someone that he actually didn’t mind the company of… perhaps today wouldn’t be quite so boring after-all. He would watch as he approached, and saw the conversation between Enrai and the other stitched figure, a small smirk on his face as he read the lips of the pair as he approached. Even better, it seemed that the two of them were discussing a joint mission… and from a quick glance at the mission in question Shin could see that there was indeed room for him. Hell, this mission seemed like one that would outright require a few people, lest it bore those undertaking it to an early grave. He would approach the duo before they could depart, a small smirk upon his face as he did so.

“Greetings Enrai, fancy meeting you here. I was just looking for a mission to undertake. Would the two of you be willing to accept me on your venture?” He would ask, before turning to fully face the stitched individual that he had never met before.

“Greetings stranger, my name is Shin. It’s a pleasure to meet you.” The Assassin would say with an easy grin, extending his hand in the universal gesture for a hand shake.

Dome Patrol [Mission/Enrai] Empty Re: Dome Patrol [Mission/Enrai]

Tue Aug 03, 2021 8:58 am
His plan appeared to be working even better than he'd originally thought! Not only had he met another stitched person like himself, but a huge hulking man had just decided to join them. Blair, almost instinctively, found his gaze wandering over the approaching man with an appreciative raised eyebrow, 'Whoa that guy is massive!' he thought. Then suddenly he was drawn out of his thoughts when the pale-eyed man asked if he could join them on the mission. He nodded, "Of course! The more the merrier, right?" The last question was aimed towards Enrai. The two seemed to be familiar with each other already so he didn't think Enrai would have a problem with the stranger joining them, there was no harm in making sure though. There was a common saying about assuming for a reason, after all.

Blair stared at the man's outstretched hand for several seconds, his mind drawing a blank. On one hand, he very much wanted to shake this man's hand as it was polite, and leaving it would be rude. On the other, the Kazekage had warned him about scenarios exactly like this one. If Shin - as he had named himself - wanted to, he could easily place something nefarious on Blair's hand. Fuck it, he thought. The Kazekage was too pessimistic about people; not everyone was out to get each other all the time. One handshake wouldn't hurt.

If Shin was still offering after the several seconds where Blair had an internal crisis, the Tau would accept the man's hand with a firm grip. His pale face split into wide grin, "The name's Blair, it's a pleasure to meetcha, Shin!"

If the group didn't have anything further to say, Blair would follow Enrai to the dome of the village. He too noticed the graffiti but Enrai looked like he was already taking a note of it so Blair felt he didn't need to also do it. If he still asked the question about what Blair wanted to focus his abilities on, the pale boy would shrug. "Eh, I'm just going with the flow. Kind of hard to aspire towards something when you don't even know that that something is yet."

Dome Patrol [Mission/Enrai] Empty Re: Dome Patrol [Mission/Enrai]

Wed Aug 04, 2021 2:22 am
Enrai nodded when the man Blair said that he did not know what he wanted to aspire to, and Enrai felt that on a spiritual level. He was really impulsive most of the time and simply got a kidney transplant that came with a disease, locking him out of using any other element besides Earth, but supercharging the element in question, and now he was stuck with it. He assumed it would be fairly easy to simply remove it and get a spare kidney at the hospital if he figured out that was not what he wanted to do with his life, but he felt that it was fun, as his impulses had never lead him astray before. He was really easy going and impulsive, which led him to simply wandering around and deciding to come to a village with a large villain population, meet with what appeared to be a famous back alley doctor, and change the headign of his life completely and forever.

Still, this did not bother Enrai one bit, and he felt that everyone should have a bit more of the go with the flow attitude. “Well, going with the flow usually works out, just make sure you put plenty of effort into whatever suits your fancy one day.” Enrai tried to say some encouraging words as they were just walking around the village essentially. With the reputation of the sand and the people in it, any enemies would be insane to want to come and scale the dome or anything of that nature. Still, the graffiti was plentiful around the area, and Enrai was the one with the pad and paper, so he was looking for street signs and writing down where the graffiti was. Luckily as a visitor, he could choose which missions he would go on with the villagers, and so he knew he would never have to clean this up, as that was a job for another hapless genin.

“So Shin, I’ve heard that some sort of… Blood Games or something was going to come back? You have any idea what that is all about?” Enrai had heard a rumor about something the village used to do, it seemed like it was some sort of dangerous gauntlet or a deadly version of the chuunin exams or something, so his curiosity was piqued. After he got his answer, he would bid farewell to the people, as they had successfully walked the path of the entire dome, and it was time for them to go their separate ways. “Seeya guys, hope we get together again real soon.” Enrai would say, before heading off to accept his payment for the mission.

Dome Patrol [Mission/Enrai] Empty Re: Dome Patrol [Mission/Enrai]

Thu Aug 05, 2021 4:17 am
Shin would take note of the hesitation from the stranger, and he could understand it perfectly fine, but here within the walls of Suna it would be most unwise for him to do anything untoward, lest he find himself dragged off for questioning.. Or worse. It seemed that he came to the same conclusion and shook the hand of the tall Hyuuga, his grip firm and unwavering, a solid handshake. The three of them would quickly make their way through The Cleft and to the outside of the dome, where they were to clean off any and all graffiti that they found on the outer walls. He was a little surprised by the mission truthfully, as he had assumed that the extremely corrosive chakra that made up the walls would be enough to wear it off… but really, maybe it did, and this mission was simply a type of hazing for the younger and less experienced shinobi of the village. He knew this was indeed the case for at least one other mission in Sunagakure, as he had seen some higher ranked shinobi sprinkling sand over the streets of the village like little pixies with his Byakugan, and he had seen the same sand being cleaned by small groups of Genin. It was quite amusing really.

In the end though, it looked like his assumption was either wrong… or the higher ups enjoyed hazing more than he’d realised, as they weren’t even cleaning it… they were simply noting the locations of it so that ANOTHER group could come and clean it in the future. God… he really hoped this was hazing, because if it was it was absolutely hilarious. He wouldn’t activate his Byakugan for this one, because really… they needed to patrol the outside of the walls regardless, and a once around was more than enough for that. When Enrai mentioned the blood games of Suna though… well, that subject would get a rather feral grin from The Assassin… it was part of the reason he had decided to come to Sunagakure in the first place.

“I know quite a bit about The Bloodworks, I won’t lie… it was part of the reason that I decided to make the trek from Rice Country in the first place. It’s a great stadium that allows anyone to enter and prove their might against other challengers. There are various tiers of fighters, and the higher one reaches in terms of rank the more difficult the opponents they face. Above them all though is a single man, a grand champion of the arena. From what I’ve heard The Bloodworks pay their contenders quite well for the show that they put on, and from what I’ve seen… the fighters are indeed nothing to scoff at.” The Assassin would explain to his fellow Missing-Nin, and he would occasionally focus on the Sunagakure shinobi with them to see his own reaction to the information.

“I’ve been quite tempted to enter it, but I know that right now I’d likely be getting myself killed, so I have held off on it.” He would then admit with a small smirk. From there the trio would finish their lap of the village, marking all the final pieces of graffiti, before making their way back into The Cleft. They would inform the guards of the success of their mission, and hand over the notepad that had all of the information they’d gathered. With that, Shin would turn to his two partners and give a light nod.

“Welp, that mission could certainly have been worse. Without decent company I would likely have been tearing my hair out by the end. It was a pleasure working with you Blair, and as always I look forward to more missions with you Enrai. And hey, if you ever want to check out The Bloodworks yourself let me know. I’m pretty sure they have duo fights, and I’d definitely be interested in seeing how well you and I can do against some of the fighters.”

"The Bloodworks, huh. Sounds interesting." Blair hummed after the man had finished speaking of it. He really should have done more research on the Village before traveling because this was literally the first time he'd heard of it. It spoke of Blair's impulsive nature that he was already considering going to one of these fights, despite never being in a fight before. Perhaps when he was a bit stronger. It was something to look out for in the meantime, however.

"The pleasure was all mine." The Tau boy said joyously, giving the two other guys a small bow. It had almost been dreadfully boring but thankfully the company had made up for the downfalls of the mission. After accepting the payment, Blair decided to pick a random direction and just go for the stroll around a part of the village he'd never been before.
