The Sneaky Cat

Like literally always, Dana was in a really good mood today. For once the sun was actually out (It wasn't just a silly prank this time!) and Dana's pale skin was starting to actually tan. Or it was burning, either or. Dana had been pale for so long that she'd forgotten what it was like to experience the sun. Sunburned skin turned into a suntan, right? Yeah, that was definitely how it worked. Trust Dana the medical expert. If you didn't you were a complete and utter fool!

Anyway, digression aside, Dana was in a good mood today and decided to do something productive. She wasn't the type to do menial tasks like this usually but her desire for productivity was pushing her to do things she normally never did. Nonetheless, Dana would find some way to have fun with the silly task of finding some cat that had gone missing or something. Dana had heard about this infamous cat from other ninjas in the village, apparently, it had gotten quite famous for its yearly escape attempts among the task force. Dana lamented that she lacked the ability to speak to animals, she was sure that they would all have something quite interesting to say given the gift of sapience.

Dana, dressed in a poncho-like cloak and ripped trousers, was quite a sight for the guards for the noble's estate. They were hesitant to let her in at first, but she just had to 'flash the cash' (Show head headband) and they let her in right away. Beyond the gates was an absolutely ginormous house, the biggest Dana had ever seen. It certainly beat her little hovel on top of a rowdy tavern. By a considerable margin.

Dana was brought by the guards through the front door of the main house and to, what she assumed, as the noblewoman's office. The one word that Dana came up to describe it was 'bougie'. Everything was obnoxiously pink, the curtains, the desk, the sofas, the cushions. It hurt Dana's eyesight to take it all in. The owner of the office, presumably, was a slightly chubby woman wearing just as much pink in the office. If the woman didn't have obviously fake-tanned skin then she'd blend into the office and become almost invisible.

The woman obviously found Dana's state of dress incredibly offensive, so Dana was only given the basic description of the cat and then told to buzz off. First off, rude. Second, Dana needed more information. How was she supposed to find a cat in such a large area? She sighed as she walked down one of the many maze-like corridors. Every turn felt exactly the same and if she couldn't see windows to outside Dana would have begun to suspect that she was walking in circles.

It took bloody hours, but Dana finally found the fecking cat on the roof of the large mansion. She almost hadn't spotted it, but its tail had, unfortunately, gave it away.

"Sorry little guy." She said giving it a stroke on the back of the head as she carried it down the side of the building, "I know miss pinky is a cow but I was hired to catch you."
