Kaos builds something

Mission Details:

As his usual, Kaos wakes up in the random tree he found the night before, this time however he was surprised. Neither the rising sun, nor a twittering bird was what awoke him. It was still dark, right before dawn as far as Kaos could tell. He grinned, surprised.

"Must be too early for that stupid bird, or maybe I finally lost it." Kaos says out loud. He continues, "Of course, it's probably not the same bird, but it would be crazy if it was the same bird who wanted to make my life hell by annoying me to awake everyday."

As soon as the thought crossed his mind, Kaos could hear in a nearby tree, a bird land and start to serenade him with it's musical talent. He quickly flicked out a kunai at the branch the bird was sitting on, but the bird unfazed continued to sing the song of its people. He groans as he realized that no only was he going to have to continue to hear the bird, but in order to retrieve his kunai, he was going to have to climb up the tree and make his way to the tree branch the bold little bird was twittering on. As he approached the tree, the bird decided it was time for it to skedaddle away from Kaos. Kaos was certain that this bird could sense his bloodlust towards it. Either that, or it was a dumb bird that flew away when something bigger than it approached it.

He groans, as he finishes climbing up to the branch that contained his kunai.

He collected the kunai, and jumped back down towards the ground. He spun the kunai around on his index finger as he began whistling as he started on his way towards the village gates. His thoughts turned to the bird, as he wondered what it would taste like when he finally caught it and cooked it over an open fire.

He nodded to the gate guards as he walked past him. As soon as he walked past them, he heard one whisper to the other one, "Doesn't that genin know we have affordable housing? Why does he always seem to be coming from outside the village-" and that was all Kaos heard before he was out of earshot. He shrugged and ignored it. It's not like they could force him to sleep in his place if he didn't want to, although, he did wonder if they would try to kick him out for not sleeping in there. He shook his head and shrugged again. Problems for a later date and time.

He made his way over to the mission board, and began reading the missions. Hmm, weeds, weeds, weeds...

"Oh thank god, construction work." Kaos would declare as soon as he saw a mission for helping out with construction. He immediately got the details of the mission, and headed over to the part of the village where it was.

He greeted the overseer of the worksite, and said, "Hi, I'm Kaos. I'm here to help out with the construction."

The overseer gave Kaos a long stare, looking him up and down, before turning his head and spitting out what ever he had in his mouth. "Alright, I think you'll be good enough to help out here. Let's have you start by moving those support beams from the loading area to the starting area."

The overseer points out where the beams start, and where the overseer wanted Kaos to place the support beams. Kaos looked at the size of them, and looked back at the guy, "Uh, I'm going to need some help moving them."

"Well, we typically have them be two man carry teams anyways. So just make sure to move them with one of the other workers." The overseer responded, waving Kaos off to start his work. Kaos spends the next couple of hours, moving the support beams with the other workers. It was dull work, but it felt good using his muscles to pick up the support beams.

After moving the final beam into the starting area, Kaos heard a long bang, and shouts of look out. He glance over to the commotion and realized that a section of wall was falling. He realized one of the workers was underneath the piece of wall and was about to be crushed by it.

He quickly body flickers over to the guy, pushing the guy out of the way. He instinctively gathers lightning chakra into his forming fist, and he punches the wall before it can crush him. The pieces crumble, but still a few big chunks hit him. He shrugs them off and sighs.

"Man, I'm going to have to deal with all this dust," Kaos states, as he begins wiping the dust off of him. Kaos realized that it was too silent, and he looks around at the other workers. All of them are staring dumbfounded at him, and Kaos fidgets uncomfortably with their stares.

"Alright, you lazy lot, back to work. Just a shinobi showing us up around here. Nothing out of the normal." the overseer's voice rings out, causing all the workers to jump and start doing their work once again.

The overseer and the man who Kaos had saved made their way over to him. The worker began to thank him profusely, which Kaos uncomfortably told him that it was no problem. The overseer told the man to get back to work, and turns to Kaos.

"Alright, shinobi are you going to stand here and waste my time and yours, or get back to work?" the overseer barked at Kaos. Kaos grinned at his words, and headed back to working with the other workers. He joined in hammering with some of the workers putting up the wall. It was a bit more tedious and time consuming then just moving the support beams, but it was still good work. At the end of the day, Kaos went over to the overseer, who thanked Kaos for his hard work, and gave him his pay for the day. Kaos smiled as he headed off to enjoy the rest of his night.
