Off We Go

They were now hitting the road and getting ready to head back to their new home. At least.. it wasn't really new to Kyson.  He began to think to himself to see if he was forgetting anything. And it seemed there was nothing of his left behind. He thought about checking on Maku but knowing him, he's probably in Kumo right now. Kyson sighed as he continued to walk and made sure everyone in the small army was present. As he counted the soldiers, it seemed everyone was here. As for his other Suna shinobi, they could take care of themselves. Royalty wasn't on the trip with him, but he knows he could definitely take care of himself. If they wished to come with Kyson they can and if not that was their decision. But their stayed there was a bit longer than he liked. Taking a good look at the village for one last time. Kyson would signal his men to follow. 

As they were heading away from the village gates. Kyson couldn't get the image of the civilians giving the army a angry look. Guess it was true that the people of this village can't stand shinobi. But Kyson just ignored them, could never understand how people could hate ones who put their lives on the line to protect their village. But maybe there was a deeper story As Kyson and reason behind it. But it wasn't Kyson's business and there were other things he had to worry about. Today was the day where he visited his home. the place he ran from for 5 years. The place that gave birth to him. The place that betrayed him. He was ready to face it head on. And it looks like he will be staying this time for good. No more running away. 

Taking a good look at Hoshi one last time before departure. This place didn't seem too bad. His stay here was pretty good, it was a good relaxation after everything that has been going on. He wasn't the same kid he was a few weeks ago. And is finally heading on the path he has chosen. Putting his hands in his pockets as he looks at the people eyeing him and the army. He just continues to walk as if they weren't even there. Walking towards the borders of the Haven country. Kyson thought about what he would do once he got to Kumo. What would be the plans then. He thought about doing something to make the army stronger, but he still doesn't know yet. Maybe Maku might have other plans when he returns. But Kyson would definitely come up with his own once he gets to Kumo and get things rolling. Kyson looked at how to get to Kumo from here. "Ahhh fuck... this is going to be a long trip." Kyson said as he face palmed. But it was time to get going, there were two huge countries he had to go through in order to get back to Kumo. It was time to be on their way, the army began heading east as they were going to have to go through Earth country and then the snow country. 

Walking there, Kyson still couldn't believe this was it. He was really heading back home for real this time. Thinking about how long its been and how much it could have changed since he has been there. He couldn't get it off his mind to see what its been up to since he left. First things first he would have take a look at his old place when he gets there. And probably end up getting a new one. Since he has moved higher up in the ranks since he has left Kumo. He would go for a more spacious place. Maybe something as classy as Hoshi, they had a pretty good setup of things. Had the look of kings and queens stayed there. He gave it a thought as he looked back every now and then to see how the army was doing. They all looked ready and a bit nervous. Kyson forgot they aren't like him. All they ever knew was Suna and now they are going to a place that has been their enemies for years. he could see how uncomfortable they might get. But what's done is done and there was no turning back now. But hopefully things will fall in place once they get there. 

As they entered the Earth country, Kyson hasn't been here before. But as he reminisced about the map he looked at. There are only a few countries that Kyson hasn't been to before. So actually, Kyson has seen most of the world. Which was quite fascinating to him. Because it was always something he wanted to do while he was in Kumo. Seemed like that goal was completed off of his bucket list. For the most part at least. He didn't expect to see every land mark in the world, but he has seen 4 of the main villages. Which was more than what he thought he would have seen. 

They were now entering the snow country. Kyson made sure his army were prepared and made sure they all had some jackets with them since he knew eventually they would enter a cold country. Kyson his trench coat that he always used to wear. So he was good while walking through the snow country. After that, it was now the lightning country. His home country, his heart started beating faster and faster as he knew what was coming next. And before he knew it, he saw Kumogakure, the village hidden in the clouds. the place Youka resides. Just the thought of it pissed Kyson off, but he didn't let it get to him. As he was approaching the village from a distance, he began to sweat a little. Just the pressure of being back home was enough to get to him. It was time..

Renji would stand and wait while the members of the army checked out with the gatekeeper. Seeing as their were quite a few people, Renji assumed that it would be a while before they took off for home. With some time to kill, Renji would set his bag down and begins to double and triple check it’s contents. Hoshi was very far from Kumo, and Renji figured that it would probably be quite some time before he came back if he was to forget something. Renji would spend the next five minutes frantically shifting through his bag and taking out items while checking them off on a mental check list in his head.

Once he had stuffed everything tightly back into his bag, Renji would stand up to his feet and looks over to see how many people were left to check out. Much to his surprise not even one third of the army ad checked out yet. Renji would let off a deep sigh realizing that this was going to take some time. At that same moment, Renji stomach would grumble. “ ah that’s right… I forgot my lunch” renji would say as he finally realizes what he forgot. Knowing that it was a long trip ahead of him, Renji had saved half of his dinner from the night before to eat while on the road. However, it was all the way back at his room in the slums and with the group set to move out at any moment, Renji knew that he could not go back to get it.

Still hungry, Renji decides to get something from one of the shops around the main gate, besides, he was a ninja, and ninjas could go a few days with out food, right? Or at leas that’s what he would tell himself to help ease the pain of forgetting his food in the room.  

“alright alright, I get it” Renji would mumble under his breathe to himself as his stomach grumbles again, this time a bit louder than the last. Renji did not want to go back inside for fear of having to wait in line to check back in and out. Lucky for him a few smart thinking merchants had set up a few stands outside of the gate; anticipating a lot of people wanting to make last minute purchases before leaving. The stands were all lined up in a row against the outer village wall. Walking down the row of small shops Renji would begin looking for one that sold food.

It was still kind of early, and there were merchants still getting set up. One stand in particular was a well priced(cheap) mom and pops food stand. As he walks up to the stand, Renji would only see mom, a elderly lady that looks like everyone’s grandmother. She would currently standing high a top a ladder fixing a sign. Renji would begin to wonder why she was up there and not her husband or children, but before he could finish, the ladder the lady was standing on would begin to tip over. Seeing that the old lady was about to go crash to the ground , Renji would rush over and barely catches her before she hits the ground.

The lady, grateful that Renji had saved his life, would give him enough bread and apples to last him for the duration of his trip and then some. Happy that he had both done a good deed and got some food, Renji would head back over towards his large group, who at this point looked like they were ready to finally move out.


Finally, the moment had come, his group was set to head back home. As he looked around he could see that there were a number of new faces that he had never seen before in kumo, as well as some people that were missing from the group that he had originally came with; if not the whole group. Renji would assume that they had gotten Home by other means, or choose to stay in hoshi longer.

As Renji heads over the sand dune he would take would last look at the city blessed by stars. Turning back around to face the long journey ahead Renji would throw his heavy pack over his shoulders and sets out, trying his hardest to keep up with the group

As the group crosses over the haven boarder, Renji would stop for a second a turns towards the direction he had came from; presumably facing hoshi. “I hope you guys make it home safe” he would think to himself as his teammates Say a Max and Senshi’s faces would cross his mind. “we still have so many adventures left, you guys better make it bak!”. Trying not to worry to much, Renji would pick back up his pace and joins back with the group.

Snow country would be the next boarder that they would cross. As they do so, Renji would take out a pair of gloves and a hat from his pack and throes them on, it was freezing out here and the last thing Renji wanted to do was to catch a cold. It seemed as though the guy that was in charge shared the same sympathies with Renji as he was going around making sure that everyone was properly prepared for the weather change. Renji did not know who this guy was but he liked him, he seemed like a good and caring leader.

By this point in the trip, Renji was completely exhausted, he could not wait to get back and the thought of being back in kumo would be enough to keep Renji going. In the distance he could start to make out what looked like the boarder between snow country and lightning country; seeing this reassured Renji that the trip was indeed finally almost over. In a few hours or days, he would be back home in his bed. As the boarder nears, Renji thoughts would shift to his chunin exams. He had completely forgotten about them while he was on this trip. After this trip, it was clear to Renji that he needed to get stronger, he had friends who were weaker then he, and he knew that he needed to be stronger in order to protect them.

As they cross the boarder into lighting country, Renji would make a vow to refocus on his training the minute that he got back to kumo. He wanted to pass his exams and continue to grow as a shinobi. Looking up in the sky, Renji would see the all to familiar eagle that he had been seeing, it was almost as if the eagle had been waiting there for the boy to return. It would follow them the whole way as the group passed through the familiar terrain of lightning country.

As the group nears the village gate, Renji would activate his byakugan and sees just as the gate comes in to the distance. Happy to finally be home the boy would run the rest of the way to the village gate. Not to far ahead of the group though, just enough so that he would be one of the first few people to get to the gate.

Finally home, Renji would head straight for the training grounds, intent on honing his skills.
