E-Rank: Lost Balloon (P, IO, NK)

Bar waited outside a skyscraper building, leaning against a corner. The building was unremarkable, except for one detail: At the top, confirmed by his Byakugan, was a certain balloon. Bar felt bad for less-fortunate bloodlines, because finding a single dull-colored balloon in a grid-by-grid search along the top of Tenga's skyscrapers would probably have taken hours.

"I take it you found it, 'cause you have stopped moving. Race you to the top, might add some excitement to it." Goon looked up and saw that it was a long run, to the top. He could barely see the balloon at the top, he was grateful to have Bar with him. If he did this by himself it would take hours longer, and ultimately by the time he would of found it, it probably would be popped, or deflated defeating the purpose of getting the balloon back.

Bar smirked. "You're on." Bar was confident that between his superior chakra control, stamina, and speed, this would be an easy race, nevermind that it was vertical. "Ready, set... Go." And Bar was off!

Once Bar got there, whether he won or not, Bar would examine the string tangled around the antennae aerial. "Wow, this is tangled pretty good. You don't happen to know the Rope Escape Technique, do you? And hey, in case it wasn't obvious, check out what the balloon has printed on it." Bar would point at one face of the balloon, in which was printed in big block letters, 'CIVILIAN HOSTAGE.'

The was closed than before, as Goon didn't trail that far behind Bar this time, Bar won ultimately but Goon was right there this time. "You win, got much closer this time though." Goon smiled when he finished.

"Hostage? Shit! and I thought this was suppose to be easy. The only breaks we get is training." He sort of chuckled after he said it, trying to make the situation lighter, and then he went serious. Well good thing Bar had his byakugan. "So what do we do now? Tell the higher-ups first? Or try to locate the hostage and save them first?" He said as he pulled a kunai from his pocket, and grabbed the string and cut the rope. He held the balloon waiting for Bar's answer.

Bar slapped his forehead. "No, Goon. This fragile balloon is a cheap substitute for a civilian hostage. Look inside the balloon, it's got a motion sensor inside. Let me give you a hypothetical situation." Bar pointed off the edge of the roof. "Suppose this was some soft Temple maiden, who's never lifted a finger in their life. Do you really think they'll survive a hundred foot drop and then the sudden stop at the bottom without throwing up all over you? Not likely. Do you really think that all the other guards around are just going to let us make off with their meal ticket? Not likely. So, here's the plan. You get to carry the hostage, and I'll protect you from all the kunai, shuriken, senbon, and whatever else they're going to throw at your hostage while you climb slowly and gently down." Bar set about using the loose string to secure the balloon to Goon's back.

Goon laughed as Bar explained things to him, he really needed to learn to put more thought into things. "Alrighty then, let's go." Goon wielded a kunai, as he began his careful decent down the skyscraper. It was gonna be a long way down and Goon wasn't moving as fast as usual making it even longer. They just had to put the balloon on one of the tallest skyscrapers, he thought.

"Seriously, if they had put something else on the balloon, like, 'Sorry, your balloon is on another skyscraper,' I woulda popped the damn thing and bought the kid another one outta my own pocket, yaknowwhaImean?" Bar chattered along while blocking projectiles from either hitting him, or hitting Goon. They were attacking from every angle, including above as Goon got closer to the ground, so Bar was busy running a VERY active defense. The moment Goon's foot touched the ground, the attacks stopped.

"Well that was....uneventful," Goon said as he touched the ground. Thinking that the village needs to do something else with their resources, instead of losing balloons and then trying to pop them. "Well it seems this is over with, wanna go grab some ramen?" He asked, and made his way to the Ramen shop.
