Dirt [Escape from the Invasion] Empty Dirt [Escape from the Invasion]

Tue Mar 04, 2014 1:26 am
Her eyes were bright in fury as she brushed what little remnants of dirt and rocks on her skin. The dirt marked her lilac day dress in an unattractive manner, scuffed her cute little boots. Don't even get started on her hair! Hastily, her hands rubbed down on her locks to get rid of any frizz, as she begrudgingly followed a someone a long distance away through the passageway. From what she heard, two certain individuals had come to the village for... an invasion or something, she wasn't sure. Their motives lost on her, she was given the choice to flee instead of staying true to her shinobi duties. Of course, she would have fled anyway.

The shelter was something that was built in haste, with some supplies and some people already seeking refuge from the attack. A few looked worried while another few looked angry. That always confused Yume, how people react in such various ways to the one situation. In her mind, she agreed with those who looked angry, for she was angry herself even it was for completely different reasons. She looked like a mess.

The angry ones wouldn't really talk to her, they'd just mutter how bullshit the invasion was how it their time was eaten up from whatever battle was occurring. That bored her. So she moved over to an empty space and ploped down on the ground.Sweeping her red eyes around in boredom, she picked up a rock and two. Her abilities rested in the free movement of the wind, so fire was lost on her. But you know... its destructive traits were just so mesmerising. If she had fire to control on her whim... Rhythmically, she clicked the two rocks together, sometimes failing, sometimes creating sparks. They were all surrounded by stone, so even if something really did happen, she wouldn't be burning anyone alive.

Dirt [Escape from the Invasion] Empty Re: Dirt [Escape from the Invasion]

Looking around the crowded space the Kumogakure refugees had been lead to, Muu's lazy expression could convey nothing less then boredom or maybe indifference. Muu might have been a shinobi and he might care about the village but he wasn't strong enough nor was he talented enough in his medical prowess to be of any use during a major fight. So he went with the others to escape to the freedom of some kind of cavern for shelter. He sat atop a stack of creates against on of the walls, knees to his chin as he looked around for something interesting in the mass of people.

However it wasn't his eyes that lead him to entertainment here in the gloomy place of heated emotions, but his ears. From his left side he heard rocks being struck together, and turned his lazy gaze at the source. A older girl in a pretty dress sat on the ground not far from him. He watched her with his sleepy dark green eyes as she made a few sparks as moments passed with her paying him no attention. She had nice hair too, it matched the color of her dress almost and it was at that point Muu thought about other purple things... or the lack there of that he could think of. But he did remember that grape things were usually purple and he liked those.

Until now he had his arms around his legs holding them, but now he pointed at the older girl with his left hand, wiggling his unusually long, pointed green nail at her. Muu had decided he wanted to ask her something, so he would do this for a few moments, staring with his indifferent/lazy expression before muttering to her, "Hey... Hey you Purple. Hey Purple."

He would just repeat this, while wiggling his finger at her in his feeble attempt at getting her attention.

Yume paused in her strikes, red eyes still downcast onto the objects in her hands. The repetitive mumbling barely reached her ears. She had looked around already; there was no one as predominately purple as she was. Who or what else would this boy be referring to. She was unresponsive for a while, partially curious in how long he would persist. Either way, Yume stayed still for while before resuming playing with the rocks for two more minutes. Whether he continued or stopped out of boredom were irrelevant to her.

On the one hundred and twentieth strike, did she finally stop and look up.Twin crimson orbs bore into the head of the odd looking green boy. Her eyes trailed over to his slightly pointed ears and finally his abnormally long and green fingernails. His expression wasn't registered as any of the common emotions she had to store in her database... but she had the feeling that it mirrored her own whenever she was alone. Indifference.

Yume blinked slowly, almost in her own trance before she decided to smile. It wasn't her usual flirtatious smiles; he looked far too young for her anyway. Perhaps that was a blessing the boy. Being on her radar meant insanity. She just grinned, appearing amused with what she saw.

"Huh... It's an elf. Or a goblin. How very rare." Of course, she was bullshitting. She had never had an encounter with the supernatural for all her twenty years, but that didn't stop her confidence in lies. Besides, elves are green, aren't they?

After waiting for her attention to fall to him for a few moments, all the while wiggling his little finger and muttering to her, he was a little caught off guard when she finally acknowledged him. Upon hearing her words he stopped the finger wiggle, and merely pointed making no sound but staring blankly back at her, blinking occasionally.

Muu had almost forgotten what he had intended to ask her in the first place, so caught up in the active attempt of getting her attention. He looked at her red eyes, but quickly disregarded them. Red, that wasn't it, there was something else. Then his eyes drifted back to her hair, that was it! Purple! He put his arm back around his legs, but kept his head turned to her as he spoke, "Hey Purple. Do you have any sweets?". The question had no grounds of which to be asked of course, Muu had no reason to ask her for such a thing or any reason to believe she would actually have some. He merely saw purple, and thought grape sweets and assumed maybe she had some.

Then there was the other issue with him ignoring her question. It wasn't deliberate mind you its just that Muu didn't really process the fact that she had spoken to him really. He just knew he had her attention now and that he could finally ask his question. He kept looking at her, his gaze almost like that of a sleepy child, blinking occasionally with a blank expression as he waited for her answer. He would really like some sweets right now. Or food in general. Then he remembered why he couldn't enjoy such things, cause they were all stuck in this "shelter". Hopefully they'd be free soon, till then he considered how long he'd pester this new Purple... Sweets first he decided.

Dirt [Escape from the Invasion] Empty Re: Dirt [Escape from the Invasion]

She didn't think it was possible to find someone with such lifeless eyes. Perhaps he was just sleep deprived from the day of attack, though she didn't think it went on for that long since it started. He stared at her. She stared at him. Her smile wasn't returned by him at all. It did not seem to bother Yume, as her eyes sparked in amusement.

The elf didn't ask about the attack, let alone the weather, to which she was grateful. That fell under useless small talk; something she never cared to entertain or considered if she ever decided to initiate contact. But he asked an odd question and odd questions were okay in her book. What was it... sweets? Yume blinked. Oh, what she would give to gnaw on something sugary right now. She didn't really have time to prepare when her foster mother (god knows why that woman was still keeping in touch with a deviant like Yume) came to usher her out.

So no. No she did not have sweets on her. But that did not stop her smile or the lies that spilled seamlessly from her lips. "Yes, I do..." No, she really doesn't... but who's keeping track? "But I don't share, elfie." That at least was true.

Dirt [Escape from the Invasion] Images_zpsfcd428c7

Blinking his eyes slowly, Muu watched Purple, she claimed to have exactly what he'd asked for but yet she refused to share. He didn't understand her smile either, everyone else was all in a huff cause of the village problem that had brought them all together, and yet Purple was smiling. Still looking at her with his lazy eyes he spoke aloud, "Purple has the sweets but is selfish... that's no good. Does that mean no grape sweets for Muu?" The green headed boy looked forward again, then scratched his head before his hand snapped down, pointing his sharp little nail at Purple in an abrupt manner.

Tilting his head to the other side he looked at her from the corners of his eyes, keeping his head forward as he spoke to her in an even, questioning tone, "Fine Purple have it your way. But one day you might need my help and i might be inclined not to give it to a fancy pants candy hoarder!" He spoke to her directly this time, and it was more apparent due to his pointing and shifty glare. He was trying his strong arm tactic cause he didn't know what else to do but he defiantly wanted some form of candy right now.

Just then a boom shook the walls of the cavern, causing dirt and pebbles to fall over the entire group like some kind of short lived sprinkle of rain.

Panic arose over the crowd and Muu turned his attention forward as the crowed moved closer to him and Purple. Muu didn't like that one bit and for some reason his lazy, bored expression turned into something similar to disdain mixed with anger. He then promptly slapped his legs with both hands and stood up on the crates upon which he had been sitting. Patting off the fallen dirt he yelled at the crowd moving towards them, "HEY! SETTLE DOWN BEFORE YOU MAKE ME ANGRY PLEASE!"

Those close to them heard the angry yell of the little green boy and turned to look at him in surprise, but they had calmed down at least. At least except for one taller guy, standing just under Muu even when he stood upon the crates, who pushed his way passed the crowd to walked up to Muu with an assertive expression on his face, "And why should we care about how you feel ya pointy haired freak?" He looked back to the crowd as if for back up or like he was actually asking them the question rather then Muu. Well the young shinobi didn't appreciate that one bit and respectfully Punched the man in the face as he turned back to face him. Caught off guard, the man would stumble back, stunned by the hit and falter back into the crowd.

Muu would then sit back on the crate, landing with his legs crossed and his hands on his legs, a small puff of dirt rising around him. His perturbed expression was clear as he let out a big forced sigh. He rubbed his face with both hands and looked back at Purple, his expression back to his usual lazy look almost as suddenly as it had changed previously. "Well candy hoarder? You share with Muu maybe?"

Dirt [Escape from the Invasion] Empty Re: Dirt [Escape from the Invasion]

No grape sweets for Muu. And even if she did have candy on her person, it wouldn't be a strange flavour like grapes. Though lying made it all the funnier. Yume raised her eyebrow as the boy who seemed to refer to himself as 'Muu' (or he just really likes cows?) muttered under his breath.

Yume blinked as he pointed to her again and declared her regret for hoarding candy. Something something she'll need his help one day. She blanked out to process it and then couldn't help but laugh. This boy looked significantly younger than her; what would he have that she would need help with?

The shelter faltered for a bit and dust and pebbles annoyingly caught in her hair. Brushing it away, she winced at the sudden outburst of the elf against the frightened murmurs of the citizens. Then there was a random punch. She blinked. What a hilarious thing to see, a teenage boy sock a grown man in the face. He fell back into crowd, stunned. But not long after, he began to compose him self and advance again, rolling up his sleeves.

"HEY! You snivelling little tur-!"

Yume already was on her feet, standing in front of the pride-hurt man with her slender palm pressing against his shoulder. People stared, as this strange purple looking girl cut off his words with a kiss. The man stumbled and that allowed her to push him down back into a seated position. She was bent over slightly, due to the liplocking still ongoing. She pulled away once his butt was on the floor though and her red eyes peered into his. Her voice was not amused like before, but it neither was angry. It was just smooth, like silk, as if she had done this many many times before.

"Be good now and sit."

They stared after her as she returned to her spot, her rocks misplaced. As she sat, she reiterated to the elf, as if a mother having the last say on her child, "I don't share anything with anyone, little Muu."

Dirt [Escape from the Invasion] Amaimon-amaimon-31679045-160-160_zpsf6495e44

Absently Muu had observed Purple aggressively kiss the man he’d recently punched for getting lippy with him, and command him to stay as if he were some sort of pet of hers.  She returned to her spot afterwards, but Muu’s expression didn’t change, he was as uninterested as ever with a mind mostly set on his current desire for candy. But the recent behavior of Purple was peculiar, as far as Muu could tell of how people normally act. But Muu was certainly peculiar himself so he wasn’t a great judge on what was normal exactly.

As he eyed her with his lazy gaze, he absently reached into his coat pocket with his right hand, withdrawing a sucker, unwrapping it and popping it into his mouth.  She had called him little but he didn’t care much for that. His size didn’t bother him that much but he was becoming more interested in her and less interested in his candy obsession. Although he had been initially interested in getting candy from “Purple’, he did have some of his own, he just wanted something grape and the sucker he had just opened was in fact apple.

“You’re a strange one. So Purple, what do people call you besides Purple?”

He was slightly interested in her name, as he absently expanded his senses, feeling her chakra as well as the chakra around him. Something he’d gotten in the habit of doing since his recent chakra sensing training. It didn’t usually do much for him aside for help him recognize people he didn’t remember really.

Dirt [Escape from the Invasion] Empty Re: Dirt [Escape from the Invasion]

'I get the feeling I'm being watched...'

Sure enough, if Yume cared to look up from examining her nails, there Muu would be staring at her like she was an odd flavoured piece of candy. Her ears pricked up upon the sounds of crunching plastic of a candy wrapper. She'd only react when he addressed her... again. Looking up from her nails, Yume returned the lazy blank stare Muu emitted.

"I hear they call me Yume."

She sighed and turned her head to the side. Everyone was off in their little groups; family, friends, common acquaintances. Yume had no one. No one, well, but this weird little boy. Why was she even here? This actually was absurd. What's a little invasion going to do? Kill her? She pondered the thought.

Taking her chanced she stood again and headed for the tunnel that she had just came through. Obviously she'd be stopped by the shinobi guard in charge of the evacuation. Can't allow her to leave, he says. It's too dangerous back in the village, he says. Yume only tilted her head to the side and smiled flirtatiously. "Are you sure you can't make an exception for me?" she asked innocently. Her hands had already trailed up to his shoulders for a gentle grasp and she lifted herself onto her tip toes and closed her eyes.

The guard must have noticed her antics from earlier, as he immediately turned his head to the side. "That won't work, miss," he said sternly. Yume opened her eyes to a blazing crimson red. Of course it wouldn't, she thought, and promptly yanked him down by the shoulders, along with a knee to his groin. Cheap shot, she's aware of that. It did the trick though, as he keeled over and seemed that he was going to be immobilised for a decent amount of time.

Looking over her shoulder to give one last glance at little Muu, she didn't offer to take him along with her back to the village. But she would not complain if he decided to run after... yet. She took a step towards the tunnel out.
