Hanten's Genin Exams! :D

Hanten Shiranui woke up and meandered out. Arriving three minutes early to the exam room, he looked around, hoping for a proctor to boggle for the day. If he failed, well, he would have to try again next year. Or maybe next month. Nevertheless, Hanten needed this done today, because he was bored.

Today was an important day for many genin hopefuls, one they no doubt looked forward to: the genin exams. Kankuro looked forward to the day for a very very different reason. For one he was the proctor of the test and two he wanted to fail as many academy students as possible. It was in Kankuro's opinion that it was his job to weed out the weak, so weed out he would. Arriving promptly on time Kankuro noticed that there was a brat already here. He had memeorized each genin hopeful's face the night before and recognized this one as Hanten Shiranui, he already did not like the kid. Thus, in a loud drill sergeantesque voice Kankuro barked out the first genin exam of the day, "Here is your test Hanten!! Drop and give me one hundred push ups, then perform the clone, transformation and substitutions techniques. Then drop and give me another hundred." With that the proctor fell silent and waited in the door frame for Hanten to hopefully fail.

Whoa! This guy was a really imposing dude! Apparently, he didn't give a shit that people's ears tended to be sensitive. Well, that was to be expected of hardened jonin, who had probably experienced much more than he did. So, he was now supposed to do two hundred pushups, in two sets of one hundred. Ah, oh so many! Hanten wasn't sure if he could do it. His arms were weaker than those of most academy students of his age and stature.... then again, he was able to drag his own body all the way to the hospital recently, so you never knew.

Well, he may as well begin, better earlier than later, and better later than never. He shrugged, still giving his brilliant smile, and got into the proper position for pushups. He knew that this guy was probably really strict and uptight with the routine for these pushups, so he decided to follow it. He bent his arms, making sure his biceps and ulna were at a right angle from each other. That was the proper format, was it not? Hanten made sure to keep himself with this, shouting out the numbers as he went down on a pushup each time. ".... one hundred and fifty seven.... one hundred and fifty eight..." and so on. He was almost to one hundred and eighty when he paused slightly. Grinning even wider, and breathing in and out a little bit more, he forced himself onwards, He barely made it over two hundred pushups before collapsing. 

As he crashed on the floor, he kept smiling. Oh, yes, this was most entertaining. The pain in his arms and the slight ache in his back were bothering him quite a bit, but it proved one thing. It proved that he had much room for improvement, which was always a good thing. The more he could learn, the worse he was, the more potential he had. It was like... a metal spring. The smaller you compressed it, the stronger and farther it would spring back. So.... pressure implied potential... what an astute observation. It wasn't often that you find ten year old kids thinking about potential energy as a metaphor. Well, regardless, he was done with his first set of pushups. He stood up shakily, and remembered what his next task was. After the first set of pushups, he had to perform the three basic academy jutsu: the transformation, substitution, and ..... er... what was the last one? He would get to it when he performed the other two. Dang, he knew he should have studied a bit more. 

Well, he may as well begin. He jogged a bit in place, then stopped. He caustiously made a handseal, and concentrated his chakra, moving it efficiently through his chakra network and tenketsu. The chakra flooded forth from his hara, which was just under and behind his navel, and cycled all over his body, filling it with energy. Now.... which one should he do first out of the two he could remember.... well, why not?

Let's begin.... with the kawarimi no jutsu. Substitution, why not. He picked up a training log from the corner, and then ran and bashed himself against the wall.... but he substituted, and emerged unharmed from a cloud of thinning white smoke. Well, that was much easier than expected. However, he shouldn't celebrate yet, he still had two more to do. Now, he should definitely try and remember the third one. Henge.... and one other. What was it? Well, maybe if Hanten did the Henge no jutsu, he could remember the last one. If he didn't.... well, he would have to wait until next year. Or whatever date the next exams were.

Hanten Shiranui put his hands together in another handseal. He concentrated the chakra again, but this time in a different way than before. It was like stirring a soup clockwise instead of counter-clockwise. It was the same thing, yet different. Instead of disguising another object as him,  he would be disguising himself as someone else. It was just.... a coating.... of chakra. At that moment, the chakra flowed over him, and he would appear as one of the boys who he had griefed the week before. How amusing, that he should choose this form. It didn't hold any symbolism, it was just random. 

Finally.... which ones was the last one? Oh, right. Bunshin no jutsu. He smiled, made a simple handseal, and a clone appeared beside him. He would then turn to it, and hit it in the head, dissipating it in a puff of smoke. Now, that was a disappointing end for his clone. Oh well, he supposed he had no option other than the smoke. He dusted his hands off, and got down and pumped off another hundred pushups, completing the set. Would he pass?
