D-Rank: Scum of the Leaf [mission]

Kyo woke up early that morning, while it was still dark outside. He got out of bed, and walked past the room where his inebriated father was snoring away. He stepped outside and almost tripped over a crisp manila folder that had been placed outside his door. What was this? A thick manila folder indeed. He took it down to the Naka riverside to review its contents. He opened it up. Hmm... it was a mission. He was supposed to investigate some kind of food-cart robber and apprehend him. Well, this would be an entertaining task indeed. He would have to lure out the perpetrator and capture him. 

He picked up the papers and put them in an organized fashion back into the manila folder. He threw the folder into a slum trash incinerator nearby and headed out to the town center. Downtown Konoha in this day and age was a bustling place, filled with the extremes of rich and poor. It was a good thing that it was now mid-morning, as Kyo would be able to see everything. He began to create his grand plan to capture the culprit. He spoke to a cartman who moved his food cart to a specified area of town. The price and quality of his wares would no doubt attract the thief. 

Kyo soon saw the fruits of his labors. He saw the thief (some slum kid academy ninja who was about his own age) steal some food and eat it. "I've got you now, boy..." Kyo would murmur to himself. He leaped down upon the boy, who wriggled out and began to run. "Foolish child...." Kyo muttered. He leapt after the boy and proceeded to engage in combat. The boy was pretty smart, and greasy. Hmph, typical of children of his age, location, and economic status. 

Kyo disappeared to the rooftops once more, and spotted the boy climbing into a dumpster. Kyo merely picked up a stray match, set some cardboard around the dumpster. He would then carefully set the cardboard on fire. The inside of the dumpster heated up like crazy, and the kid soon scurried out. Kyo, however, was already in from of the other child. He broke one of the miscreant's legs, and proceeded to knock him out. He slung the other kid over hid shoulder, and began walking toward the police facility. As he walked down the main road, he felt the eyes of curious civilians on him. 

He reached the police facility where the law enforcement officers took the kid into whatever custody bull they had. Kyo didn't care. He went back home, immensely satisfied with himself. He would sit down by the Naka river and take a quick nap.
