Kozata's Genin Exam

Kozata knew it was time, as he was walking toward the location in which his exams would be held. He was a little nervous, as one might expect. Who wouldn't be? Kozata wasn't insane, so he felt pretty normal. He walked into the building, out of the fresh air of Shimagakure no sato and into the stale air of a building that seemed to be dedicated to academics. He walked upstairs, and on the third floor, found a door to a classroom that was labeled "genin exams". He walked in, and waited patiently. Hopefully, a proctor would be there soon...

The scruffy faced man slummed his way into the class room clearly hung over from the previous night of partying. After all they were in Shimagakure, if you weren't partying you weren't doing your job right. He looked over the academy students with a scowl on his face. The only reason he was even doing this exam was because he lost a bet with the proctor who was supposed to be here.

"Sorry guys, it took me awhile to find the room. I'm not your normal proctor for this test but your normal teacher is out."

Looking down the roster of names he spotted one that looked interesting to call out. He would let this one be the first to take the test and see if they pass or not.

"Hmm err Ko-za-ta? You're up as the first student to try. Show me what you've learned and I'll let you graduate."

(Yada yada you know what to do, give it to me.)

Now, what were the two jutsu that Vigil had told him about? Kozata stood, swallowing his fears. He struggled to remembered, and finally, he found them, Yes, they were the transformation jutsu (henge no jutsu) and the clone technique. He smiled, and considered which one he should tackle first. He would just randomly select one, but now was not the time for such childish games.  He had to believe that he could accomplish this, that he had both the skill and power to make the impossible happen. He was, after all, a ninja, and with the power of chakra, that was what he could do.
Now, he decided that since he was better with the clone jutsu, he would do that one first. Vigil had taught him that one, on a hot day. They had gone into the gym, and there, the strange boy had shown him the jutsu. It was here that Kozata learned how to make good use of his chakra. Well then, it was time to begin. Kozata thought back to the lesson... Now, focus on the form he wanted to create. An external form, one of chakra. A form that would look like him, and copy his actions, but make no sounds.
What were the three handseals again... no, this one was an easy one. Kozata's smile would turn into a confident grin as he moved his hands together and began forming the three handseals. They were, in order, ram, snake, and tiger. Yes... he would form these deliberately, but not slowly. He had to be extra careful, now. The ram handseal... both hands would have their index and middle fingers up in half-tigers (or half rams? Kozata could not make the distinction), and one of these finger groupings would be placed in the palm of the other hand. The snake handseal he would make by putting his two palms together and curling his fingers around each other. This seemed like a consolidated handseal, and one that he could form quickly in combat, not like the ram one. Then again, he could form ram right after or before using 1000 years of death... the possibilities were endless. Now, as for the final handseal... Well, the tiger handseal was easy enough. All he had to do was switch the positions of his hands from the ram handseal, by moving the lower hand up and overlapping the fingers that were not sticking up. As he did these, the clones reformed, and he would wave at the proctor; as he did so, the clones would copy his movements, waving as well. So, it looked like his attempt at the first part would be a success.
Now, about the transformation jutsu... this was one that Kozata was not so good at. He had spent a little more time atempting to perfect it, and in the end, he felt that he had put too much sweat and tears (well, he didn't really cry over it) into learning and mastering it (not like he was really a master).
He thought back to the time when he had fooled the librarian. Yes, he had escaped that library without suffering a scratch on his body. He was such a boss. Now, the three handseals for the transformation jutsu were dog, boar, and ram. Ram he already knew, so he just had to remember to do it last, and not mess up like the dunce that he truly was. He tended to mess up at the most valuable moments, but this time, he was quite determined to do NOT that, if that made any sense at all.
Now, the dog hand seal was pretty simple to do as well, he merely had to form one hand into a horizontal fist, and place his other hand palm down on top of it. This was even easier than the snake handseal, and he noted that this one would be as useful in battle as the other one.
The boar handseal was easy as well, as it too, did not require any kind of finger interlacing whatsoever. He merely formed two leapard fists, and placed them palms together in an inverse position. This would finally complete the second handseal. The next handseal was ram, which, as already mentioned, Kozata already knew, so he formed it without issues. Yes, he thought, as he looked at his reflection in the window. He had succesfully transformed into his very first henge no jutsu form: a cat. He released the jutsu, popping back into his human form. He checked for cat ears, to find that his release of the jutsu had been flawless. He turn to the proctor, giving him an inquisitive look. "Well, how did I do?" He was only slightly anxious, as he felt that he had done well in the exam.

The proctor watched the entire display of chakra and hand seals being flung around to learn the basics of the different jutsu that Kozata was using. For the most part he had performed everything perfectly only messing up on a few parts. Nothing too serious but it was enough to where if he used them in the real world they would easily be seen through. For training purposes they were fine though. Reaching on the table he grabbed a head band and threw it at the boy.

"Good job, you pass, now go out there and make your leader proud."
