Prancing through some caves [P,NK]

Already finishing with the equipment which were scattered throughout the whole cavern, Kaori picked up the bag with her today's swag and turned at Gilgamesh. The boy would congratulate her, though not using that word. In his last sentence he mentioned her being in a clan and was about to ask her to tell him more about it, when he got interrupted. Sand and dust started to fall from the ceiling as they heard a sound, a very bad sound that signaled immediate life threatening danger to both of them. With a quick remark Gilgamesh announced they should leave the tunnels, and though Kaori was about to go all 'captain obvious' she simply lunged after the boy out of the cavern. It seemed he was going for the nearest exit, so she simply followed him. Starting a bit late, also from a bit farther than him, she had to cover a longer distance to the exit. As he was already out, she was still in the shadow of an impending death. Not really wishing for such an end, the girl traded some of her life for speed, getting clear of the cave and shooting the hell out of it. As she landed outside, next to her 'partner', the cave rumbled and crashed down completely shutting off that entrance. 

Looking at the place where was a way a few moment back, Kaori tried to catch her breath and focus her mind, hardly realizing she just barely escaped with her life. The shoulder wound was still bleeding some, having sacrificed some of her life force to run faster did not help it, she was a bit dizzy. Then it came to her. Goddamn it, she was alive. The thought that it was her own fireballs that probably caused the cave-in somehow slipped her mind, right now she was simply happy. She let out an unrestrained laugh and then turned at the boy, her eyes losing the glow. "Well, we live... so, I guess there was something you wanted to ask?"

Once outside, Gilgamesh simply turned around to watch the crumbling of the caverns, his face however did not reflect any emotion at this point in time; it was almost as if he felt compelled to watch the destruction of something he had considered his.. had she just destroyed his property? His face contorted into a snarl for a second as he turned his head towards her. The vile mongrel.. he should flay her where she stands! She proved to be of more use to him with all of her appendages, for now, at least.

Still showing no sign of happiness, he simply folded his arms over his chest and spoke with an air of nobility, "And you, Kaori.. What makes you believe that your clan name is worthy enough to be put alongside your name? What traits do your clansmen inherit?"

As it seemed before, he was interested in her clan, or more specifically in her clan's abilities. The girl decided to play risky but honestly. "We have the power to control life force in our bodies. Trade our life's energy for power or transform chakra from the environment into life force. The ultimate form of our clan's powers, which is a goal of every clan member, is immortality."

That was an irritating thing.. Immortality. His face contorted for a brief second at the mere prospect of it. What good to him was an immortal vassal? They would most likely not remain loyal to his cause and because of their inability to die they would not care for him. However, he believed this girl did not have those powers yet as she said it was the ultimate form.. This was quite the crossroad; kill the girl and stop her from being able to refute him in the future.. or allow her to attempt and achieve her clans ultimate power. Allowing his hand to gently stroke his chin, the sun almost seemed to illuminate his figure, his skin a burning healthy colour. However, he felt no need to linger on the thought and acted on his impulse, he had a trust for his impulses because, after all, they were his. With a flicker of his hand, he'd speak as he turned from her and began his way back to the village. "We may talk afterwards, we may not. But now, you may consider yourself an ally of mine, be it temporarily or permanent; only time will tell of the latter. As my vassal, take items or property that you believe could be of interest to me: Well-forged swords, the sharpest of kunai, the most luxurious caves. After all, you owe me a new cave after your recent vandalism of my property.""

After taking a moment to think, which was indicated by him stroking his chin, Gilgamesh stood up and began walking away. Before leaving he would speak, saying they were now allies and telling her to collect resources and weapons for him, also remarking at her destroying "his" cave. Kaori would follow the boy with her eyes until her was completely gone. Then she would spend a moment to collect herself and rethink what had transpired. Then she would head home herself. She had what she had come here for after all.
